RUSH: This book that has been published by these two writers about the Hillary Clinton campaign, inside Hillary Clinton\u2019s doomed campaign… The book is called Shattered, and we\u2019ve talked about it a number of times here. One of the points that I\u2019ve always made about… These guys are not the first two people that did it. There\u2019s two people that did this book. One of them is a columnist for The Hill, and the other is a writer… I forget where. It\u2019s Jonathan Allen and Amie Parnes. It might be The Politico. But they\u2019re not the first to do this.<\/p>\n

What they did, is they embedded themselves in the Hillary campaign, and they were allowed this deep access for a promise that they would not report anything they learn during the campaign. Now, hang on, because this is crucially important. If you\u2019re a Democrat and you\u2019re still doing a postmortem and you\u2019re still trying to figure out why Hillary Clinton lost and you really want to be truthful about it and you don\u2019t want to get sidetracked by this whole Russian insanity — if you really want to know why she lost — this book will tell you.<\/p>\n

\"\"But at the same time, if you are a Democrat and you really want to know why she lost and you read this book, you are gonna be outraged at what these two reporters did. But, as I say, they\u2019re not the first. The people that popularized this… They\u2019re not the first to do it, but the people that popularized it were Mark Halperin and John… Um… (sigh) Well, they\u2019re two guys. They had a show on Bloomberg, and they embedded themselves in campaigns, and they learned what was going on. And they saved every morsel they were learning for later in a book that came out.<\/p>\n

When the book came out, one of the question that many readers asked was, “Well, why didn\u2019t we know this during the campaign? You guys knew this and you held it? Do you realize you could have had some effect on the outcome? I mean, this is genuine reporting, and you agreed to keep it secret so you could personally profit from it?” (interruption) John Heilemann. That\u2019s right. John Heilemann and Mark Halperin. It\u2019s the same thing here.<\/p>\n

These two people know exactly one thing: They know that the Hillary campaign was the exact opposite of the way it was being reported every day in the media. The Hillary campaign was being reported as being run by the smartest people in Washington, and they were well-heeled, and they were well-oiled, and it was a smooth running machine. Everybody liked each other, and everybody was the best at what they did. Be it research, be it strategy, be it planning, be it get-out-the-vote, Hillary had the best. She had the best.<\/p>\n

She held \u2019em over from 2008, from her campaign there against Obama.<\/p>\n

She\u2019d also studied what Obama did, and she had put together the best campaign team that any candidate for president had ever had. And that was the narrative. And from there this team believes what the media reports about them and the media is reporting what I just said, that it\u2019s the best. “It\u2019s the brightest, it\u2019s the smartest, it\u2019s the most strategic, it\u2019s the most experienced. It\u2019s just the toughest, the best. They\u2019re not taking anything for granted,” and this gets reported. Then the polling came out, the polling data was juiced. It was wrong, and everybody involved…<\/p>\n

Remember, it\u2019s the media that runs things, not the Democrats. The Democrats are an arm of the media.<\/p>\n

So the media\u2019s out there writing everything about the Hillary campaign and how wonderful she is as a candidate, how wonderful her campaign is, the best and the brightest doing the best every day, nobody has a chance. Trump, on the other hand, doesn\u2019t even know what he\u2019s doing. His campaign staff doesn\u2019t know what they\u2019re doing. They get fired left and right. It\u2019s not even gonna be close. It\u2019s gonna be a wipeout. It\u2019s gonna be an embarrassing landslide loss for Trump. This is reported day in and day out.<\/p>\n

And the people in the Hillary campaign read the media and they believe it. Who wouldn\u2019t want to believe all these wonderful accolades about yourselves? So day in and day out, month after month, this lie is reported. What this book has uncovered is that it was the exact opposite. It was not a good team. They were not the best people. They were not hardworking. They didn\u2019t get along with each other. They didn\u2019t respect Mrs. Clinton.<\/p>\n

Many of them laughed at her behind her back. Many of them afraid of her behind her back. Many of them noticing that she didn\u2019t do any work whatsoever. Many of them noticing that she and Huma are oftentimes off and away and nobody knows where they are. Everybody noticing that Mrs. Clinton\u2019s not putting out much of an effort and it\u2019s generally chaos in this campaign. But the only two people that knew it are the people that wrote the book! Now everybody knows it because they\u2019ve just published the book!<\/p>\n

Now, if I am one of these irritated Democrat donors, and I\u2019m out there, I\u2019m part of the resistance movement. And I gave this Ossoff Pajama Boy clown, I gave him a lot of money. And I\u2019ve got everything invested in getting rid of Trump. And I think the Russians stole the election, And then I come across this book, and I read this book about the Hillary campaign, I would blow my gasket.<\/p>\n

I would be asking, “Where the hell was this during the campaign? If this campaign was this bad, why was everybody lying to us about how clean and slick it was? And if it was this bad, how come people in the campaign didn\u2019t know it was this bad? And if it was this bad, why did these reporters shut up and not say anything about it? Why\u2019d these reporters witness this horribly run campaign and shut up?”<\/p>\n

\"\"The answer is they did it for profit. They saved it for their book. So the Democrat Party was living month after month after month a gigantic lie, a gigantic illusion and delusion. And two people knew that none of what was written in the media, none of what was broadcast, none of the conventional wisdom about the Clinton campaign or herself, Hillary, was true. And they had to be quiet because they had promised their sources that they wouldn\u2019t reveal anything during the campaign and even after the campaign.<\/p>\n

We still don\u2019t know the actual people who leaked the actual information that makes up this book, and that is why here in the New York Post, “Hillary Camp Scrambling to Find Out Who Leaked Embarrassing Info<\/a>.” Well, wouldn\u2019t that be the Russians? Wouldn\u2019t that be WikiLeaks? Why are they not looking there?<\/p>\n

“The knives are out in Hillary Clinton\u2019s camp about who leaked embarrassing information to the authors of a bombshell new book about her ‘doomed presidential campaign.\u2019 There\u2019s a witch hunt underway,” and it\u2019s not for Hillary. It\u2019s among her staffers looking for who provided the details for the book Shattered: Inside Hillary Clinton\u2019s Doomed Campaign<\/a>. It\u2019s by Jonathan Allen and Amie Parnes.<\/p>\n

“We\u2019re told the details in the book, which depicts the campaign as inept, ‘could only have come from someone in the inner circle.'” like the Russians. “Dennis Cheng, the finance director of Clinton\u2019s presidential campaign, has been sending out messages to determine where the leaks came from.” In other words, who are the traitors here. “Dennis has been texting prominent campaign staffers, asking who talked.” That\u2019ll get \u2019em to speak up. “He\u2019s on a witch hunt to find out who talked to save their own skin, throwing Hillary and her campaign manager Robby Mook under the bus.”<\/p>\n

\"\"The source added there\u2019s some speculation that Huma Abedin is the leak, that she cooperated to save her own reputation. Now, what does that mean? It means that Huma, I mean, who\u2019s sitting there at the right hand, the left hand, the top, the bottom of Mrs. Clinton, wherever Hillary wants her, Huma\u2019s there, so Huma saw everything — (interruption) What? What? Right hand, left hand, top, bottom, Huma was everywhere, I\u2019m telling you. Therefore they\u2019re saying here that Huma knew how bad this was and Huma does not want her reputation damaged being close to this, so she\u2019s the one leaking.<\/p>\n

But nobody can confirm this. And she and Hillary are still very close. I don\u2019t know. But it says here they are very close. Don\u2019t know how close. Huma is trying to get back together with Weiner. Did you hear that? Huma\u2019s trying to get back together with Weiner. Be a problem. You know, did Weiner ever appear on O\u2019Reilly\u2019s show? That might give her pause. Well, just saying.<\/p>\n

Contest Weiner and O\u2019Reilly, and O\u2019Reilly\u2019s the bad guy? Are you kidding me? (interruption) Why would Huma want — see, you ask me like I\u2019m the expert in this. What would Huma want back with him after the — well, he\u2019s the father of the kid, number one. Okay? I have to think that counts for something. Maybe she thinks the guy\u2019s a stud. Who knows? Not everybody\u2019s an Adonis like you, a universally recognized Adonis. To you, this guy is this stick-thin, Adam\u2019s-apple-protruding geek guy that you — (interruption) Oh, the teenage girl stuff? That\u2019s just men being men. Every woman knows that.<\/p>\n

\"\"And you can\u2019t ignore what Mrs. Clinton thinks would be best for Huma in this. Remember now, left side, right side, left hand, right hand, top, bottom, Huma\u2019s everywhere, wherever she needs to be with Hillary. And then there\u2019s this as a companion story from the New York Post: “Hillary Clinton Spied On Her Own Campaign Staff<\/a> — Years before Hillary Clinton\u2019s private email server ever became a campaign issue, Clinton spent a few months doing some digital snooping on her own staff.”<\/p>\n

This is also revealed in this book. This book tells every Democrat who really wants to know why Hillary lost. And I would think some people would be livid at these two reporters \u2019cause they were there watching it. They knew, these reporters knew everything being written about this campaign was wrong.<\/p>\n

They knew the polling data was wrong. They knew that all these glowing stories about Podesta and Mook and Jen Psaki and all these other people being the best and the brightest, they knew that this campaign was an embarrassing joke, and they didn\u2019t say a word so they could personally profit from it.
