And I\u2019ve also read online that supposedly there\u2019s a possibility that Jeff Sessions\u2019 office was being tapped also, at least that\u2019s what Corey Lewandowski said, but my point I wanted to make was I think that Trump should take this opportunity to turn the tables on the Dems and the libs. I don\u2019t like their tactics, but they are effective.\u00a0 And one of the things you\u2019ve talked about in the past many times is the idea that investigations need to be done because of the seriousness of the charge.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH:\u00a0 Right.<\/p>\n<p>CALLER:\u00a0 I can\u2019t think of anything more serious than the possibility that the presidential campaign was being wiretapped, and I would use that argument and just push the Democrats back on their heels and say, &#8220;The seriousness of the charge, we have to look.&#8221;\u00a0 I mean, you could run with this for months.\u00a0 That\u2019s what I would do.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH:\u00a0 Trump is doing that.\u00a0 So far, he doesn\u2019t have anybody willing to join him in the investigation, \u2019cause most people\u2019s reaction &#8212; can I share this with you?<\/p>\n<p>CALLER:\u00a0 Of course.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: The first Trump tweet was on Saturday, and I\u2019m on the golf course Sunday, and it\u2019s a mother-in-law convention out there.\u00a0 The winds are like 35 miles an hour.\u00a0 It\u2019s just impossible.\u00a0 So we started talking about things to try to distract from how poorly we were playing, and these guys &#8212; and these are, you know, my age, 50 to 55, 60, successful people, and they\u2019re shocked at what Trump said. They think, &#8220;Oh, no, the guy\u2019s going off his rocker, oh, my God, oh, my God.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>I tried to bring \u2019em back down.\u00a0 I said, &#8220;No,&#8221; that\u2019s when I hit them.\u00a0 &#8220;Wait a minute, now.\u00a0 What do you mean?\u00a0 Is it more reasonable to think that it could be or that it isn\u2019t?&#8221;\u00a0 And so they started thinking about it the way I was thinking about it.\u00a0 So I think the initial reaction of even some people on Trump\u2019s team, &#8220;Oh, my God, you don\u2019t say that, oh, gee.&#8221;\u00a0 Because in their minds, you never win accusing Obama or the Democrats of anything.\u00a0 The media\u2019s gonna come out and destroy you.<\/p>\n<p>But Trump is not everybody.\u00a0 Trump doubled down on it today.\u00a0 You better be applauding Donald Trump. If what you just said you want, you better be applauding Donald Trump.\u00a0 Because he\u2019s taking it &#8212; this is exactly what he\u2019s doing out there, Pete.\u00a0 He\u2019s doing exactly what they have been doing to him.\u00a0 This whole Russia-rigged-the-election thing is a bogus charge and he decided to pick the grenade up and throw it right back at the media-Democrat complex.<\/p>\n<p>And it\u2019s working.\u00a0 They\u2019re now running around like stuck pigs.\u00a0 &#8220;What investigation?\u00a0 He wasn\u2019t under investigation.&#8221;\u00a0 He wasn\u2019t under investigation?\u00a0 I thought the last six months &#8212; &#8220;No, no, no, there are no wiretaps on Trump.\u00a0 That\u2019s absurd.&#8221;\u00a0 Well, then how do people get hold of his phone calls to these foreign leaders?\u00a0 &#8220;Well, I don\u2019t know, but he\u2019s not under investigation.\u00a0 Nobody ever said he\u2019s under investigation.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/MNxEDomUlXw\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Katy Tur, infobabe NBC, was on Meet the Press Sunday saying there hasn\u2019t even been a single report alleging that Trump was working with the Russians.\u00a0 I looked at that.\u00a0 I didn\u2019t watch it live, I was on the way to the golf course.\u00a0 I looked at it later.\u00a0 I said, &#8220;Are you kidding me?&#8221;\u00a0 This is the same reporter who had not heard that Obama had told the Russians to tell Vladimir to wait, he\u2019ll be more flexible after the election.<\/p>\n<p>BREAK TRANSCRIPT<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: <a href=\"https:\/\/live-rush-limbaugh.pantheonsite.io\/daily\/2017\/03\/06\/its-not-unreasonable-for-president-trump-to-think-hes-being-spied-on\/\">My point yesterday about is it reasonable to think that Obama could indeed have wiretapped Trump<\/a> and his campaign, given other aspects of the investigation we\u2019ve been hearing. We know that Trump\u2019s under investigation. We know that some of his peeps are under investigation supposedly \u2019cause of collusion with the Russians. So we know there was an investigation going on.<\/p>\n<p>Is it unreasonable or reasonable to think that Trump could have been wiretapped too? People were saying, &#8220;That\u2019s outrageous! Trump\u2019s off his rocker.&#8221; No, no. It\u2019s entirely reasonable if everybody &#8212; and Trump\u2019s phone calls have been transcribed and broadcast and reported in the media. So they played that segment &#8212; in fact, here it is &#8212; and they asked Newt to react to it.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/live-rush-limbaugh.pantheonsite.io\/daily\/2017\/03\/06\/its-not-unreasonable-for-president-trump-to-think-hes-being-spied-on\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-224281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.rushlimbaugh.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/ObamaSpyPIX.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"585\" height=\"250\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.rushlimbaugh.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/ObamaSpyPIX.jpg 585w, https:\/\/www.rushlimbaugh.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/ObamaSpyPIX-300x128.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 585px) 100vw, 585px\" \/><\/a>RUSH ARCHIVE: There has been a sabotage effort to undermine Trump and his administration since the election. &#8230; [I]t\u2019s totally reasonable to believe that something like this could be happening. It would be unreasonable to think that this is crazy, unreasonable to think that this is absurd, unreasonable to think that this is nothing more than a big batch of conspiracy theories stitched together for whatever purpose.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Bill Hemmer played that for Newt Gingrich today on America\u2019s Newsroom, and he said, &#8220;Okay, flip Limbaugh\u2019s logic around. Is it reasonable to think that actually this is crazy?&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>GINGRICH: I think if you\u2019re a left-winger and you believe that everything Trump does is wrong, you can believe that. But if you look at the unending process of leaks &#8212; by the way, all of them breaking the law. You have a New York Times columnist actively calling on IRS agents to break the law and leak President Trump\u2019s taxes. The left has gone crazy since the election. There\u2019s this whole model right now that anything goes on the left, and then they want the rest of us to believe that they\u2019re reasonable.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Right. And then here\u2019s Mike Pence. He was on Brian Kilmeade\u2019s Fox News Radio show this morning, and they were talking about Trump\u2019s tweets accusing Obama of wiretapping Trump Tower, and Pence said this&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-219765 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.rushlimbaugh.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/TrumpPence-copy.jpg\" width=\"585\" height=\"222\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.rushlimbaugh.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/TrumpPence-copy.jpg 585w, https:\/\/www.rushlimbaugh.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/TrumpPence-copy-300x114.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 585px) 100vw, 585px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>PENCE: I think the president\u2019s tweet speaks for itself. He\u2019s expressed himself on it, and, you know, we\u2019re very pleased that the congressional committees have made it clear that they will look into that matter just as they\u2019re looking into every aspect it.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: See, this is why it\u2019s a brilliant thing that Trump did, whether he knew it or not, \u2019cause it\u2019s gonna come back and bite them. We just had a caller saying, &#8220;Look, why don\u2019t we play the game the way they do? They say, no evidence. That means we have to investigate it. The seriousness of the charge.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Well, you know what? You can\u2019t get a more serious charge than a sitting president wiretapped a presidential campaign. You can\u2019t get a more serious charge. And by the Democrats\u2019 own definition that mandates an investigation. And Congress said they\u2019ll do it. They\u2019re gonna fold Trump\u2019s allegation into the rest of this. And now the Democrats are walking it back, &#8220;There wasn\u2019t any investigation, there wasn\u2019t any investigation, what do you mean? Where are you getting this?&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s like Katy Tur, the infobabe on NBC. She\u2019s on Meet the Press Sunday. She said she\u2019s not aware of any news agency alleging that there was collusion between Trump and the Russians. I saw that, and I said, &#8220;What is it, does she really not know,&#8221; which is the entirely possible. I think journalists are some of the most ill-educated people. I don\u2019t even think they\u2019re educated. They\u2019re indoctrinated. They know one side of things and they have no curiosity about anything else.<\/p>\n<p>She\u2019s also the infobabe who did not know that Obama was overheard on an open mic telling Dmitry Medvedev in 2012, Putin\u2019s second in command; he\u2019s the president of the Russian Federation, said (paraphrasing), &#8220;You tell Vladimir that I\u2019ll have much more flexibility in getting rid of our nukes here after I\u2019m reelected.&#8221; She didn\u2019t know that had happened. How do you not know that? Well, NBC didn\u2019t report it. CBS didn\u2019t report it. ABC didn\u2019t report it. The New York Times didn\u2019t report it.<\/p>\n<p>There\u2019s no way she would know it. Yet it happened, and they don\u2019t know it. And now she\u2019s out there saying there\u2019s no new organization that\u2019s ever alleged collusion between Trump and the Russians. She was dead serious. And her own network is reporting that.
