He\u2019s not saying, “F-you,” here. He\u2019s saying, “Why am I going to waste my time? You know, you guys at the NAA[L]CP have no interest in hearing what I have to say. You have insulted me. You have accused me in participating in hate-crime murder. You run TV commercials saying that my election to the presidency will lead to “more black church burnings.” I\u2019ve got better things to do.” It\u2019s sort of like when I worked for the Kansas City Royals. This is the best explanation for it. My first job was selling tickets, a group sales director. Everybody has to start somewhere, folks. So I went to the expert salesman on the radio network side, and I said, “What would you do?” He said, “There are too many baseball fans out there to focus on those who aren\u2019t. So the first thing you do is identify who the baseball fans and go there.” Well, this is what Bush is doing. These guys at the NAA[L]CP are not baseball fans and he\u2019s selling baseball tickets. It\u2019s a waste of time. It\u2019s not going to get him anything with anybody.<\/line>By the way, you know, this business of Bush going to the NAA[L]CP. Julian Bond said far worse and more recently, even, than his comment that the conservative wing of the Republican Party is nothing different than the Taliban. “In remarks to hundreds of cheering liberal activists on Wednesday, NAA[L]CP chairman Julian Bond singled out Republicans as ‘enemies of black Americans\u2019 and compared conservatives once again to the terrorist Taliban. He said, ‘Their idea of equal rights is the American flag and the Confederate swastika flying side-by-side. They\u2019ve written a new constitution for Iraq and ignore the Constitution here at home. They draw their most rabid supporters from the Taliban wing of American politics, and now they want to write bigotry back into the U.S. Constitution.'” So… This was at the Take Over America conference, George Soros\u2019 thing that Hillary helped sponsor. Why go there?<\/emphasize> Why go to the NAA[L]CP? Why subject yourself to this? It\u2019s a waste of time. (ear-splitting tone)<\/line>END TRANSCRIPT<\/line><\/p>\n
