RUSH: Stacy in Dayton, Ohio. Great to have you. How you doing?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Hey, Rush. How are you?<\/p>\n

RUSH: Fine and dandy. Thank you el mucho.<\/p>\n

CALLER: I am a longtime listener and I\u2019m very excited to be talking to you. But, Rush, I have tickets to the inauguration through my congressman. I\u2019m a Trump supporter, went to his rallies, so I\u2019m really excited about getting these tickets. But, however, I have some apprehension towards going because, quite frankly, I\u2019m afraid of protest violence and shall I say possible terrorism.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, how many tickets do you have?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Actually, I have four, for me, my husband, and two kids.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Ah, the kids.<\/p>\n

CALLER: My husband doesn\u2019t want to go, he\u2019s afraid, and I don\u2019t know. I thought I would talk to you because in the past I\u2019ve always looked to you as the voice of reason and I\u2019m hoping you can ease my fear so —<\/p>\n

RUSH: Oh.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Just wondering if you had the opportunity, would you go?<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, no, that has nothing to do with what I would tell you.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Okay.<\/p>\n

RUSH: No, no. The weather ostensibly is gonna be in the sixties, number one. It\u2019s gonna be… The long-range forecast has it as a nice day. You can look at that one of two ways. You can say it enables the protesters. And it also enables, encourages the fact that you\u2019re gonna enjoy the day. You know, my answer to this is really rooted in the belief that, if it\u2019s something you really wouldn\u2019t want to do, I wouldn\u2019t let those people stand in the way of you seeing something historic.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Okay.<\/p>\n

RUSH: I really wouldn\u2019t let the fear of protesters stand in the way of you doing what it sounds like you\u2019d like to do. Maybe there\u2019s a little bit of thinking you should do.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Right. I feel like it\u2019s a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. Yeah, I\u2019m fearful for my kids and I don\u2019t want them to be exposed to anything violent.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Have you been able to get a hotel room?<\/p>\n

CALLER: I have one yes.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Okay. All right. Well, then you\u2019ve got a place of refuge if anything would happen. Look, there\u2019s gonna be lot of people there. I don\u2019t think… You\u2019re not gonna have a lot of people not go because of this threat. Are you worried that security services are not gonna be up to snuff because they really want this to go wrong for Trump?<\/p>\n

CALLER: I\u2019m not sure. You just hear everything in the news about protesters, and now there\u2019s this big thing on women, marchers that are —<\/p>\n

RUSH: That is gonna peter out. That\u2019s gonna be nothing more than a golden shower. They\u2019re gonna be… Don\u2019t let that stop you. The Million Woman March? I don\u2019t even think that\u2019s for Inauguration Day. Isn\u2019t it the day before be the day after? The it\u2019s the next day. And be no\u2019s gonna care anyway. They can\u2019t even find enough people. Probably get a little bit more now that I\u2019m mocking them here. No. Don\u2019t let that bunch of broads stop you from seeing this. In no way. If that\u2019s the march that you\u2019re concerned, no way. Don\u2019t let that bunch deter you at all.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Well, they weren\u2019t the only ones, of course, there\u2019s other factors. I hate to say this, but possible terrorism, you never know what\u2019s gonna happen. But I think that, you know, talking to you, like I said in the past, you\u2019ve always kind of been the eye of the hurricane for me when everything else seems to be spiraling out of control, I can listen to you and just feel calm and feel like everything\u2019s gonna be okay, so I\u2019m glad you talked to you.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>RUSH: If you\u2019ve got your hotel room, if you\u2019ve got a place of refuge, I think those are valid concerns. But don\u2019t forget, those are also things they want people like you to stop engaging in things like this. That\u2019s one of the purposes of terrorism is to make you afraid to live your life.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Right.<\/p>\n

RUSH: And it\u2019s not gonna keep Trump from showing up, and if anybody\u2019s the target, it\u2019s Trump. It\u2019s not gonna be keep Trump or his family from. They\u2019re all gonna be there. Trump\u2019s cabinet\u2019s all gonna be there. Mike Pence is gonna be there. So as I say, I can\u2019t go to these kind of things, but you —<\/p>\n

CALLER: Oh, okay.<\/p>\n

RUSH: And I just wouldn\u2019t let them stop me, if it were me.<\/p>\n

CALLER: So if you were me, you would go?<\/p>\n

RUSH: I would.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Okay.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Now, before you go, before you go —<\/p>\n

CALLER: Right.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Fine and dandy. The phone you got\u2019s got no SIM card. It\u2019s unlocked. It will work on any carrier. What kind of phone do you have now?<\/p>\n

CALLER: I have a Samsung like a, you know, smartphone.<\/p>\n
