Mega dittos to you.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH:&nbsp; Thank you, sir.<\/p>\n<p>CALLER:&nbsp; I\u2019ve been listening to you for well over 25 years.&nbsp; I listen for your conservatism, your humor, your accuracy, and discussions over the Golden EIB Microphone.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH:&nbsp; Right.<\/p>\n<p>CALLER:&nbsp; And you\u2019ve often said, sir, that when liberals are in power, they\u2019re dangerous.&nbsp; When liberals are out of power, they\u2019re funny.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH:&nbsp; That\u2019s right.<\/p>\n<p>CALLER:&nbsp; And I was just wondering, in light of the vicious attacks on President-Elect Trump, his family, his cabinet, are you rethinking of substituting the word &#8220;funny&#8221; with &#8220;pathetic&#8221;?<\/p>\n<p>RUSH:&nbsp; Well, I actually hadn\u2019t thought about it \u2019til you called.&nbsp; That\u2019s why I wanted to take your call.&nbsp; I\u2019m glad you reminded me of it.&nbsp; I can\u2019t remember all of the things I say; nobody could.&nbsp; For some reason, that stuck with you.&nbsp; And at the time I uttered it, it was absolutely correct: &#8220;When liberals are in power, they\u2019re dangerous.&#8221;&nbsp; That\u2019s still true.&nbsp; When they\u2019re out of power, they were funny.<\/p>\n<p>CALLER:&nbsp; Yes.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH:&nbsp; The thing that I realize now looking back on it, is while we were laughing at them, there were a lot of people believing their insanity.&nbsp; It turns out to be not nearly as many as we feared prior to the election.&nbsp; I still think that they pose a great, great opportunity with humor to laugh at them, such as Code Pink today and these protesters.&nbsp; They\u2019re just unhinged now. I don\u2019t mind the word &#8220;pathetic&#8221; as a descriptive, but I would not to relax too much.&nbsp; These people are not going away.&nbsp; The people that you\u2019re talking about still teach your kids in high school and college.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.rushlimbaugh.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/Rush-Liberals-Reject-650.jpg\" data-rel=\"lightbox-image-0\" data-rl_title=\"\" data-rl_caption=\"\" title=\"\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-full wp-image-216608 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.rushlimbaugh.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/Rush-Liberals-Reject-650.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"650\" height=\"312\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.rushlimbaugh.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/Rush-Liberals-Reject-650.jpg 650w, https:\/\/www.rushlimbaugh.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/Rush-Liberals-Reject-650-300x144.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 650px) 100vw, 650px\" \/><\/a>These people that are now out of power at least electorally still run Hollywood.&nbsp; They still assemble, write, and produce most of what you see in prime-time entertainment television.&nbsp; They still run the publishing industry.&nbsp; So they\u2019re not going away, and they\u2019re becoming more and more unhinged and deranged as time goes on.&nbsp; Now, I think for a while the more of that, the better.&nbsp; They don\u2019t realize that they are the reason, one of the many reasons why Hillary Clinton lost; they\u2019re one of the many reasons why Donald Trump won.&nbsp; But I\u2019m not gonna stop laughing at them.<\/p>\n<p>They are some of the greatest source of smiles when they lose that you\u2019ll ever come across, but &#8220;pathetic&#8221;? Yeah, I can understand the use of the word &#8220;pathetic.&#8221;&nbsp; They do look pathetic. But also keep in mind they\u2019re not going anywhere, and they don\u2019t understand&#8230; This is very important.&nbsp; I\u2019m gonna build off something I said yesterday.&nbsp; They don\u2019t understand the concept of defeat, and I don\u2019t mean this in an upbeat way, in a positive way.&nbsp; The way you\u2019re supposed to deal with defeat is as a learning experience. You analyze why, and you double your efforts, and you come back and you try to win the next time.<\/p>\n<p>That\u2019s not them.&nbsp; When I say, &#8220;They don\u2019t recognize defeat,&#8221; what I mean by that is that they do not think they lost.&nbsp; They do not think that what happened is real.&nbsp; Remember, as I said yesterday in a recent profundity, to understand modern-day liberalism you must understand that they reject reality.&nbsp; To them, reality is something that we have constructed to exclude them.&nbsp; To them, life is simply a game of power, and whoever has the power gets to dictate the terms.&nbsp; Well, they lost.&nbsp; It doesn\u2019t mean they were rejected.&nbsp; It doesn\u2019t mean they lost.<\/p>\n<p>They don\u2019t look at it the way you and I would in a circumstance like this.&nbsp; They think they were cheated.&nbsp; They think that or more, worse than that.&nbsp; Look, the foundational thing to understand here is that they reject reality.&nbsp; This is the simplest way I have found to explain liberalism.&nbsp; It\u2019s the simplest way I\u2019ve found to help people understand and educate people about it and to be able to spot it and how to deal with it.&nbsp; And it\u2019s very simple.&nbsp; Everything to them is a construction, a &#8220;social construct.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>If you look at&#8230; Take any issue you want. Take a look at marriage.&nbsp; Marriage was matter, and it was reality, and it was the result of millennia &#8212; thousands of years &#8212; of human behavior, normal human behavior that had been time-tested by virtue of culture, and it spanned cultures.&nbsp; Well, the left didn\u2019t look at that.&nbsp; That wasn\u2019t real.&nbsp; That was a social construct that was intended to deny them things, and so that reality had to be changed.&nbsp; There\u2019s any number of examples that fit the bill here.&nbsp; But the reason why they remain, call it, pathetic or dangerous is, they do not think they have lost.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.rushlimbaugh.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/RushDECONSTRUCTING-LIBERALISM-3.jpg\" data-rel=\"lightbox-image-1\" data-rl_title=\"\" data-rl_caption=\"\" title=\"\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-full wp-image-216590 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.rushlimbaugh.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/RushDECONSTRUCTING-LIBERALISM-3.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"585\" height=\"270\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.rushlimbaugh.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/RushDECONSTRUCTING-LIBERALISM-3.jpg 585w, https:\/\/www.rushlimbaugh.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/RushDECONSTRUCTING-LIBERALISM-3-300x138.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 585px) 100vw, 585px\" \/><\/a>So they never turn inward. They never get introspective. They never ask, &#8220;What did we do wrong? What do we need to do to improve?&#8221;&nbsp; Because in their minds, they are flawless. In their minds, they are perfect. In their minds, they are what &#8220;is.&#8221;&nbsp; So in order to explain what happened here, there has to have been something that they got snookered by.&nbsp; And in that they remain dangerous because they are forever attempting to overthrow what I consider the normal.&nbsp; They are always&#8230; They are committed to overthrowing and reversing reality.&nbsp; If they don\u2019t fit in it, then it\u2019s got to be distorted, changed, overthrown, or what have you.<\/p>\n<p>Not fit into.<\/p>\n<p>They don\u2019t look at reality as something they have to adjust to, adapt to, and blend.&nbsp; No, no, no, no, no, no.&nbsp; Because reality isn\u2019t real.&nbsp; It is a construction of the powerful to set up circumstances to deny them access to whatever it is; Equality, freedom, you name it.&nbsp; They\u2019re a bunch of sick people, and they\u2019re not going to go away, and they\u2019re gonna continue to be disruptive.&nbsp; This is why I have, over the years, begged people to understand that they are not to be accommodated; they\u2019re to be defeated.&nbsp; They\u2019re the ones that make everything political &#8212; and in the process, every battle with them is political, and they need to be defeated.<\/p>\n<p>We don\u2019t need to cross the aisle and work with them.&nbsp; They\u2019re not interested in that.&nbsp; They don\u2019t compromise; they don\u2019t think there\u2019s any need to it, because they\u2019re not wrong. They\u2019re perfect or what have you, even though they\u2019re sick.&nbsp; So we laugh at \u2019em for our own entertainment.&nbsp; And, by the way, we laugh at \u2019em as a means of explaining to other people who maybe are not politically oriented who they are.&nbsp; But they\u2019re never going away, and they\u2019re never gonna stop being disruptive, and they\u2019re never going to accept whatever it is that they disagree with.&nbsp; Now, you might say, &#8220;Well, we don\u2019t, either.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Well, we do.&nbsp; It\u2019s called &#8220;civility.&#8221;&nbsp; We understand when we lose and in many ways &#8212; not all ways. But we engage to find out why and fix the problem or correct it.&nbsp; We want our victories to be legitimate based on a genuine majority support for what we believe and what we are.&nbsp; That\u2019s not of any importance to them whatsoever.&nbsp; They\u2019re all about bullying and power and intimidation, which is what political correctness is.&nbsp; So, yeah&#8230; I just don\u2019t want people to forget. I don\u2019t want you to think&#8230; We\u2019ve made this mistake too many times.<\/p>\n<p>In 1994, Republicans won the House first time in 40 years and they made the mistake of thinking that the country had finally gone our way, and so Newt and the boys start implementing their agenda and they didn\u2019t explain why. They didn\u2019t keep teaching.&nbsp; Don\u2019t make that mistake now.&nbsp; The Trump people have got to keep explaining and teaching and explain why they\u2019re doing what they\u2019re doing.&nbsp; Remember, all that\u2019s happened so far is that we\u2019ve won an election.&nbsp; Trump hasn\u2019t even been immaculated yet.&nbsp; That has to happen on January 20th, and then the real work begins.&nbsp; That\u2019s why I\u2019m glad you called.&nbsp; I appreciate it.<\/p>\n<p>BREAK TRANSCRIPT<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.rushlimbaugh.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/Rush-Images-STOP.png\" data-rel=\"lightbox-image-2\" data-rl_title=\"\" data-rl_caption=\"\" title=\"\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-full wp-image-216701 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/www.rushlimbaugh.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/Rush-Images-STOP.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"225\" height=\"300\"><\/a>RUSH: This is Claire somewhere in New Mexico.&nbsp; Great to have you on the program.&nbsp; Hi.<\/p>\n<p>CALLER:&nbsp; Hi, Rush.&nbsp; Thanks for taking my call.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH:&nbsp; You bet.<\/p>\n<p>CALLER:&nbsp; You said something early in the program that was beautifully phrased about drilling down into the souls of Democrats, and I believe that they are so convinced that they are good, they never even question that, it never even occurs to them to question that they are good.&nbsp; And so anything that opposes them is, by definition, not good.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH:&nbsp; Well, yes, not only that.&nbsp; I mean, the fact that liberals are the good people, I\u2019ve characterized them as such many times over the many years.&nbsp; &#8220;We\u2019re good people, we\u2019re better people, we care, we have compassion, tolerance,&#8221; all that stuff.&nbsp; Not only is that an apt description, but the feeling is so deep that they believe it empowers them to engage in any behavior because people who are not them are evil and therefore defeating evil, so important that there are no rules limiting what you do.&nbsp; So, yeah, that\u2019s clearly an aspect of their existence, who they think they are, I have so stated my own self many times.<\/p>\n<p>BREAK TRANSCRIPT<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Kodiak, Alaska.&nbsp; Julie, hi.&nbsp; Glad you waited.&nbsp; Great to have you on the show.&nbsp; How you doing?<\/p>\n<p>CALLER:&nbsp; Great.&nbsp; Thank you.&nbsp; Good morning, Rush.&nbsp; I was calling to comment on something.&nbsp; I know that liberals and Democrats and people that were for Hillary I believe are displaced and they\u2019re angry, people I know are angry.&nbsp; And I want to say that I think it\u2019s been framed by media outlets of all sorts that the words and the Trump policies of the Trump administration are racist, bigoted, fascist, all of this, and it\u2019s being framed that way.&nbsp; And I think that people with platforms such as actors, media commentaries and stuff, are giving permission to these displaced, angry leftists to act out.&nbsp; And I think it\u2019s on purpose.&nbsp; I think they want them to be demonstrators and stuff.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH:&nbsp; I agree with you about that.<\/p>\n<p>CALLER:&nbsp; But it\u2019s leading to people breaking the law and hurting each other and I think it\u2019s on purpose.&nbsp; And I think that &#8212;<\/p>\n<p>RUSH:&nbsp; You know, I think you\u2019re right, but even if it isn\u2019t, it\u2019s irresponsible.<\/p>\n<p>CALLER:&nbsp; Yes.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH:&nbsp; Because they\u2019re dealing with people who are fragily balanced to begin with because they believed a bunch of caca most of their lives.
