RUSH: This is last night Bloomberg Television, What\u2019d You Miss? name of the show, co-host Matt Miller speaking with media correspondent Gerry Smith about the Republican nominee starting his own TV network, Trump.  They\u2019re obsessed with this. They think Trump\u2019s going to start his own TV network, didn\u2019t want to wait. He\u2019s just doing this to build up an audience for the eventual Trump TV network, and that\u2019s what they\u2019re discussing, and here is this Gerry Smith guy, the media correspondent at Bloomberg.<\/p>\n

SMITH:  Maybe Ivanka could have an hour, Rush Limbaugh potentially, so, you know, those are the sort of the ideas that are getting thrown out there, but, you know, Donald Trump obviously says he\u2019s still focused on the election and doesn\u2019t have any interest in a Trump TV network at this point.<\/p>\n

RUSH:  Right.  I\u2019ve been waiting for this. I\u2019ve been waiting for my name to be included in all of this.  I don\u2019t know how many times I\u2019ve been asked this.  Fox debuted in 1996, “debutted” for those in Rio Linda.  Since 1996, “I can\u2019t believe you don\u2019t have a show on Fox.  Have they not asked you?” <\/line><\/p>\n

“You wouldn\u2019t believe the number of offers.” <\/p>\n

“Really?” <\/p>\n

“That\u2019s right.” <\/p>\n

“Well, why don\u2019t you have a show?”<\/p>\n

“I don\u2019t like television!” <\/p>\n

“Oh.  Why not?”  Then I go into the reasons why I don\u2019t like TV.  Anyway, they\u2019re obsessed with that.  That\u2019s how they\u2019re trying to comfort themselves.  Trump doesn\u2019t really want to win.  Trump\u2019s setting up Trump TV.  Everybody that I\u2019ve talked to in the Trump network, the last thing on his mind is a news network.  I mean, this has been manufactured out of clean air. <\/line><\/p>\n<\/section>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
