KATE BOLDUAN: Does Donald Trump have a path to 270 electoral votes?\u00a0 (music starts) Looking at the map it is tough.<\/p>\n
JOHN HEILEMANN: There\u2019s basically no path for him to win.<\/p>\n
BROOKE BALDWIN: (background noise) The path is narrowing, the path to victory is narrowing.<\/p>\n
ROBERT COSTA: It\u2019s a narrow path, they acknowledge that privately.<\/p>\n
ANDREA MITCHELL: (background noise) It\u2019s a very narrow path. How does he get to 270?<\/p>\n
WOLF BLITZER: (background noise) Trump has a narrow path to 270 electoral votes.<\/p>\n
MANU RAJU: (background noise) Very, very difficult, very narrow path.<\/p>\n

DAVID GREGORY: How difficult the path is for Trump.<\/p>\n
SUNLEN SERFATY: (background noise) Their path to 270 is, in their words, an uphill climb.<\/p>\n
JOHN KING: Steep, improbable even, Donald Trump\u2019s path.<\/p>\n
JUDY WOODRUFF: Is there a path to victory for Donald Trump at this point?<\/p>\n
PETER HART: No.<\/p>\n
RUSH:\u00a0 That was Peter Hart.\u00a0 So you see, the polls are tightening.\u00a0 Hillary has lost eight points in the Washington Post.\u00a0 Some of the other polls we\u2019ve chronicled yesterday and will do so today.\u00a0 So the Drive-Bys, you remember the sound bites yesterday, John King at CNN (paraphrasing), “Oh, my God, yes, yes, if the election is about the economy and health care, yes, yes, yes, Trump can win.” And we had two or three other Drive-Bys yesterday going from Trump can\u2019t win to Trump can win and then somebody got a hold of them, “You guys can\u2019t say that. You can\u2019t say Trump can win.”<\/p>\n
So they\u2019ve revised it now and you see the coordinated script here. Every one of these people, “Yeah, the polls are narrowing, but it\u2019s a narrow, narrow path, a narrow path.\u00a0 May not even be a path. The polls tightening don\u2019t mean anything, you see.”\u00a0 So somebody got hold of these fallouts yesterday and brought \u2019em back to reality.<\/p>\n

RUSH: So yesterday when the polling numbers were changing dramatically against Mrs. Clinton, the Drive-By Media was — we played the sound bites for you.\u00a0 “Yeah, yeah, Trump can win!\u00a0 Oh, my God.\u00a0 Trump can win.\u00a0 Yeah.\u00a0 If the election\u2019s about the economy, if it\u2019s about health care, yeah, Trump can win.\u00a0 If it\u2019s about personality, competence, Hillary will win.”<\/p>\n

I was dumbfounded here, as I\u2019m sure you heard, \u2019cause I wondered, how can these people turn on a dime?\u00a0 I mean the day before yesterday they were telling us Trump was toast, Trump had no prayer.\u00a0 That\u2019s been their line for the past two months, that Trump is toast, that it\u2019s over, that it\u2019s a landslide, it\u2019s humiliating, it\u2019s gonna be so embarrassing that Trumps gonna move to the South American continent and never, ever be seen again.\u00a0 That\u2019s how bad it is.<\/p>\n
Then the polls come out and yesterday Trump can win.\u00a0 Somebody didn\u2019t like that.\u00a0 Somebody who writes the soap opera script for the Drive-Bys.\u00a0 “You can\u2019t say on CNN that Trump can win.”\u00a0 So the message went out, it has to work this way \u2019cause we\u2019ve got a 30-second montage here — one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine — 10 people with the same phrase:\u00a0 Trump does not have a path to victory.\u00a0 There\u2019s no path.\u00a0 Trump can\u2019t win.\u00a0 The path is narrowing.\u00a0 He doesn\u2019t have a path.\u00a0 The path is very narrow.<\/p>\n
Some of the same people yesterday said, “Hey, you know what?\u00a0 Hey, Trump can win this thing.”\u00a0 So they got their minds right.\u00a0 It\u2019s just eerie.\u00a0 We know that this is coordinated, and we now know that all this comes from the Clinton campaign.\u00a0 That\u2019s another thing. The WikiLeaks email dump has shown the collaboration between the Democrats and the media is undeniable.\u00a0 In this case it\u2019s a collaboration between the Clinton campaign, but the Harry Reid office collaborates with the media and vice-versa and Chuck Schumer and all the others, Barbara Boxer and Pelosi, they all coordinate.<\/p>\n
In this case the coordination\u2019s coming from the presidential campaign, it\u2019s what\u2019s most important right now.\u00a0 But clearly this is what\u2019s happening.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
