RUSH:  Let\u2019s grab a phone call here.  It looks like “Marie.” If I get your name wrong, folks, know the things here are compressed. The screen is squeezoomed into a narrow top-to-bottom, and everything\u2019s… It looks like Marty to me, but it can\u2019t be Martie, M-a-r-i-t-e so gotta be Marie, I\u2019m guessing.  Is it Marie in — in whatever it is, are you in Minnesota?<\/p>\n

CALLER:  Yes, exactly, Rush.  This is Marie.  You got it right.<\/p>\n

RUSH:  Great to have you. What\u2019s up?<\/p>\n

CALLER:  Yeah.  Well, dittos, Rush, on the climate thing.  You\u2019ve got it exactly right.  We\u2019re in southeastern Minnesota and I\u2019m a dairy farmer\u2019s wife and we\u2019ve been highly impacted by this narrative about climate change.  I know I have friends that think it\u2019s the biggest deal, but I think that it\u2019s being… It\u2019s highly used to rape our Treasury of subsidy money.  We were highly impacted here in southeastern Minnesota by a wind project that was going to kill up to 15 eagles a year, and it was highly inappropriately sited. I was just talking also to a guy down in Missouri, he sold half his dairy herd and moved because NextEra was coming in with wind, and this was all under this big umbrella. You know, “Climate horror is gonna take us over!” But little do people know that it\u2019s ruining rural communities, the way this is being promoted.  I think it\u2019s all U.N.-based, and it\u2019s all an issue more of greed and power, if you want to know the truth of it.<\/line><\/p>\n

RUSH: Oh, that\u2019s exactly what it\u2019s about.<\/p>\n

CALLER:  Yes.  Exactly.<\/p>\n

RUSH:  In fact, people — and thank you, Marie. I appreciate it very much.  I\u2019m glad you called.  By the way, a tech note, I heard that call better than I have ever heard a call in Palm Beach.  I mean, that call sounded like it was right in my ear rather than in a barrel 15 feet away.  Anyway, that\u2019s just for inside basketball stuff, folks.  Don\u2019t let it affect the way you listen to the program. But the only way I can pass the information on is when it actually happens.  That\u2019s how you get people to listen.  Otherwise, they think you\u2019re making it up. <\/p>\n

So climate change?  What is the big deal? People that don\u2019t necessarily understand the point I\u2019m making says, “Rush, what could possibly be wrong with try to save the planet?”  And I say, “Do you really think…?”  I mean, I ask people. “Do you really think — this is what they want you to believe — that the way you are living your life is going to destroy the climate?  Do you think…? Let\u2019s say that President Obama wanted to do the exact opposite.  Let\u2019s say that any president wanted to destroy the climate.<\/p>\n

“So he calls in his cabinet. What would they do?  How would they do it?”  Have you ever heard anybody explain how they would destroy the climate?  Because they claim we\u2019re doing it!  We\u2019re destroying climate, and it\u2019s so bad, Millennials actually believe it (a number of them) that the planet is not going to be habitable by the time they\u2019re 65?  They\u2019re being lied to, it it it it\u2019s near criminal.  And all of it is being done to turn people to government, to accept more government, Big Government, and tax increases. <\/p>\n

All of this climate change is being blamed on us, the way you live, the car you drive, the amount of electricity you use, all of the fossil fuels. You are being guilted into believing you are causing the end of the planet.  But then they come along and they tell you, “You can redeem yourself!” They come along and tell you that you can save the planet the despite how out of whack you have been, and how do you do that?  “Well, you agree with everything the government says that you must do.” <\/line><\/p>\n

You go out and buy chintzy little cars that you don\u2019t want to buy and you really — and, by the way, most people are desperately searching for meaning in their lives, and if you tell them that they can save the planet, why, maybe you can own it! You can have it in the palm of your hand.  So you tell \u2019em, “Support the government, tax increases, carbon tax, punish Big Oil, punish corporate interests.”  All of this — climate change, global warming — is nothing more than a vehicle. There\u2019s nothing scientific about it. <\/p>\n

When you hear “consensus of scientists,” if there\u2019s a consensus, it isn\u2019t science.  Science is not vote.  Science is not democratic.  We don\u2019t think that the moon is where it is because a consensus of scientists has decided and some disagree.  We don\u2019t think that any other scientific discovery made has been up to a vote.  It either is or it isn\u2019t.  But climate change, it\u2019s all a consensus.  Consensus of scientists agree.  And it\u2019s all done to turn you to government.<\/p>\n

 It\u2019s all done to get you to hate the same people the left hates and to suspect the same people the left hates and to make you distrust Big Pharmaceutical, Big Oil, Big Box Retail, Big Whatever. Whoever\u2019s on the Democrat Party enemies list, that\u2019s who\u2019s to blame for this, and it\u2019s all about turning you into a ward of the state, and they make it personal.  They tell you, “You can save the planet!” I read blogs written by young people 20, 25, 30 years old.  Stunning how they bought into this. <\/p>\n

It\u2019s frightening how they\u2019ve bought into it, and it\u2019s frightening how many of them think that it\u2019s all science when none of it is science.  Do you realize the only thing…? There is only one thing that points to global warming, and that is computer models.  We don\u2019t have a bit of data. We don\u2019t have one shred of scientific data.  All of it is computer models forecasting twenty years from now, thirty years from now. You note they never say climate change in the next two years? They never say climate change in the next 10. <\/p>\n

You know why? <\/p>\n

Because at some point, we would easily be able to prove that they\u2019re wrong.  They make the prediction 30 years out, 50 years out, when many people are gonna be dead and won\u2019t be around to know.  And if you\u2019re young enough, if you\u2019re 20 and they tell you 50 years, well, you\u2019re still 70. So you\u2019re gonna buy into it to try to save the climate so that there\u2019s someplace to live.  And all this talk about going to Mars is rooted in the same thing, that the planet is not gonna be habitable.  And all of this is nothing but total political BS. <\/p>\n
