RUSH: Clint Eastwood in an Esquire magazine article has come out and said that he\u2019s for Trump, gonna vote for Trump.  He loves Trump.  He said Trump is the enemy of the “pussy generation.”  And everybody said, “Holy cow, he said that?”  Yes, he did.  He said that Trump is the enemy of the “pussy generation.” <\/p>\n

So all day on the Drive-By Media they have had members of the “pussy generation” on as guests. I saw on Fox not long ago a couple of women, apparently of this generation, and they were being asked what they thought of Eastwood referring to their generation as the “pussy generation.”  They were outraged.  I mean, these women are in their thirtiess.  Who knows.  I\u2019m guessing thirties, maybe early forties.  I recognize one of them and I didn\u2019t recognize the other.  And they were just livid. <\/p>\n

They were telling Eastwood to stick to his own generation. “Eastwood, he\u2019s an old guy now, and just because he\u2019s a movie star that doesn\u2019t have any effect on our generation, just stick to what he knows.  He doesn\u2019t know us.”  And then Eastwood, grab audio sound bite No. 23.  This just stands by itself.  This was on the TMZ website yesterday.  They were interviewing Eastwood about the presidential race and the TMZ reporter says, “So you think that Trump should stop saying inflammatory things or is it a bad thing to be too politically correct?” <\/line><\/p>\n

EASTWOOD:  It\u2019s a bad thing to be too PC, but I think there\u2019s a limit to it.  I mean, you don\u2019t have to be rude to somebody.  But also, you know, the other guy was being exploited by a political party.  That\u2019s no good either. Whether either party does it, exploitation, you shouldn\u2019t take advantage of some poor slob.<\/p>\n

RUSH:  Eastwood is weighing in the Khizr Khan situation by suggesting that Trump should not be trying to take advantage of some poor slob.  Clint Eastwood, who carried on that magnificent imaginary conversation with Obama<\/a> at the 2012 Romney convention.  I thought it was great.  Some people thought it was hard for the younger generation to decipher and that it didn\u2019t quite hit home the way everybody had hoped. <\/p>\n

But I liked it. I thought it was brilliantly conceived and I thought it was flawlessly executed.  But I look at things from a different way sometimes.  I look at the degree of difficulty and the performance and then bringing the performance home.  That was a tough thing to do, and Eastwood did it well. <\/p>\n

So to me it was pretty hip.  So we have that out there.  What else do we have out there?  We\u2019ve got, oh, yeah, we\u2019ve got what sound bite is this?  Liz Mair, she\u2019s a Republican consultant.  Can somebody tell me off the top — does anybody know?  Seventeen I\u2019m told that it is.  Cookie, when I got up today, the first thing I do when I get up is… the second thing I do when I get up is I check the email and there was an email there from Cookie.  And it said:  <\/a>“Liz Mair actually called Trump a … do you want me to bleep it or do you want me to use it?” <\/p>\n

So I\u2019m still in newly awakened, freshly awakened haze.  I said, “I\u2019m not going to make a hasty decision here.”  So I grabbed my glasses and I put my glasses on, reread it.  And I said, “Go ahead, use it.”  She said it.  She said it on CNN.  She said it to Anderson Cooper.  Anderson Cooper didn\u2019t flinch.  So if Anderson Cooper didn\u2019t flinch, CNN aired it.  Here we go question from Anderson Cooper to Liz Mair<\/a>. She is, by the way, a spokeswoman for the Johnson-Weld third-party campaign.  And she has done spokeswoman work, I think, or consultancy work of some kind for the RNC. <\/p>\n

The question:  “Have you lost any hope that the GOP can rein Trump in to be more traditional or at least more disciplined as a candidate?”<\/p>\n

MAIR:  I lost all hope of that, uhhh, probably seven, eight months ago now, quite candidly.  It\u2019s amazing to me that anybody is still having a discussion about having some sort of an intervention or bringing him back on message.  This is his message.  His message is being a loudmouth dick.  We\u2019re going to continue to see the Republican nominee basically acting as if he\u2019s on a suicide mission and aiming to take the whole rest of the party down with him.<\/p>\n

RUSH:  It was just earlier this week that I was telling people how proud I am that I have been able to maintain the high standards of refined and sophisticated communication.  For example, by not slinking low and using the word that begins with a P to describe urinate.  That word is common.  You hear it all over, everywhere.  You hear it on cable news, on broadcast TV primetime. You hear it on talk radio.  I am very proud that I have not resorted to it.  So I get here today, and I\u2019m faced with this dilemma. <\/p>\n

\"large\"Do I play a sound bite from a babe calling Trump “a loudmouth dick”?  I look over here and Eastwood is referring to Millennials as the “poo-sai” generation.  And then the Washington Post: “There Really Isn\u2019t Anything Magical About It: Why More Millennials Are Avoiding Sex.”<\/a>  Do you know why they\u2019re avoiding sex? (interruption) Why? (interruption) Too much time on the phone!  They\u2019re spending too much time streaming video on YouTube.  They\u2019re living vicariously.  They\u2019re having sex vicariously on the phone. <\/line><\/p>\n

Not “with the phone,” folks. <\/p>\n

Not with it, but while using it.  You know, I knew this generation… There was something different about them. When I first learned that the guys in the Millennial generation were not interested in cars, I thought that was a big moment.  That was seminal.  I mean, that could… I said to myself at the time when I saw that, “This could signal a tremendous shift in American cultural attitudes and behavior.” Because people — and not just young men. People\u2019s relationship, people\u2019s infatuation, people\u2019s interest in cars has been in the top five things that you would say are distinctly American. <\/p>\n

I mean, in Europe they don\u2019t care about them.  You\u2019ve got to buy something no bigger than a matchbox to fix the streets that haven\u2019t been modernized since the 1700s over there.  So you can\u2019t even get a real car over there that you can go everywhere in.  But here… Other than Germany. <\/p>\n

But here, it\u2019s always a different story. <\/p>\n

RUSH: I mentioned, just two more and we\u2019ll go to the phones.  I mentioned that I saw a couple of babes on Fox reacting to Clint Eastwood referring to their generation as the “pussy generation.”  Apparently a couple of other women that Fox found don\u2019t have a problem with it. <\/line><\/p>\n

Sarah Flores being asked here by, who is it, Bill Hemmer.  He said: “The reason Clint Eastwood is a Trump guy is he is not a PC guy. What he said is, ‘Everybody\u2019s walking on eggshells in America. We see people accusing of being racist and all kinds of stuff. When I grew up those things were not called racist.'” That\u2019s what Eastwood is saying.  Here\u2019s this young millennial woman reacting.<\/p>\n

FLORES:  We have college campuses, a bunch of liberal academics creating safe spaces, students refusing to let conservatives come speak on campus because it will hurt their feelings or challenge their worldview. I think that\u2019s incredibly harmful to these students, I think it\u2019s dangerous for the future of citizenry of America. On the other hand, this idea that Clint Eastwood gets to call this generation of Americans not tough enough, not brave enough, that\u2019s incredibly silly. I know single moms who are a lot tougher than Clint Eastwood. My best friend\u2019s a captain in the Marine Corps, she\u2019s a lot tougher…<\/p>\n

HEMMER:  Did he say that?<\/p>\n

FLORES: … than Clint Eastwood. He did. He used a different term that starts with a “P” and refers to cats sometimes.<\/p>\n
