You know, you keep saying this is not your regular-type campaign season and it\u2019s the outsider.\u00a0 What if Crazy Bernie actually went crazy that day and he went up on that stage live and told his supporters and everybody, &#8220;I\u2019m not gonna support Hillary; let\u2019s all walk out of this&#8221;? Do you think he would have doubled or tripled his followers and really had a chance to win the presidency in 2020?<\/p>\n<p>RUSH:\u00a0 (chuckling) No.\u00a0 (laughing)\u00a0 They couldn\u2019t find Bernie Sanders today if he had done that.<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: (silence) Okay.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH:\u00a0 Nobody\u2019d know where he happened to go.\u00a0 They wouldn\u2019t be able to find him.<\/p>\n<p><img id=\"eZObject_125536\" class=\"img_middle\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/Bernie-585-X.jpg\" align=\"middle\" \/>CALLER:\u00a0 Hmm.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH:\u00a0 If Bernie Sanders had done what your hypothetical suggested &#8212; walked out on that stage and done an open revolt &#8212; he\u2019d a gotten off the stage, but that would have been the last anybody saw of Bernie Sanders, and he wouldn\u2019t even be setting himself up.\u00a0 He\u2019s gonna be 80 years old.<\/p>\n<p>CALLER:\u00a0 Yeah, that\u2019s what I\u2019m saying, \u2019cause he wouldn\u2019t have a chance, and he won\u2019t be able to run in eight years.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH:\u00a0 No.\u00a0 And, by the way, I don\u2019t know if you happen to notice it, but there were a couple of shots of Bernie last night.\u00a0 He was&#8230; He didn\u2019t look happy to me.\u00a0 It looked like he was glaring. But then, why would he be happy?\u00a0 Eh, the guy gave it the best he had.\u00a0 But there was no reality.\u00a0 Bernie never had a chance.\u00a0 Bernie never&#8230; There wasn\u2019t an iota\u2019s chance that Bernie Sanders was going to get the Democrat nomination.\u00a0 It was as big a fairy tale as (Bill Clinton impression), &#8220;In 1971, I met a girl!&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Same kind of fairy tale.<\/p>\n<p>And now the Bernie people, they\u2019re running around saying there\u2019s no reality, too.<\/p>\n<p>We have a little company.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>RUSH: Here\u2019s Daniel in San Antonio.
