RUSH: You remember one of the themes from last week. We had the Trump acceptance speech.\u00a0 That night and the next day there was total unison throughout the media.<\/p>\n

Is it not fascinating, is it not illustrative how every Drive-By Media outlet — print, internet, broadcast, radio and television — every one of them used the same exact terms to describe Trump\u2019s speech:\u00a0 dark, foreboding, scary.\u00a0 Every day they illustrate how they are not news.\u00a0 But, more importantly, they are the ones, the left owns dark.\u00a0 The left owns scary.<\/p>\n

Those are techniques.\u00a0 The left has frightened young people to death.\u00a0 One of the most successful campaigns to scare young people and to keep \u2019em in line has been this whole global warming thing.\u00a0 It is uncanny how many young people — and they\u2019ve been watching Captain Planet since they were 5 years old, kindergarten, grade school, junior high, middle school, high school. They have been taught that humanity is destroying the planet, their parents and their grandparents.\u00a0 And they believed it.\u00a0 And they believe there\u2019s not gonna be a habitable planet by the time they are 60, 65 years old, maybe even before.\u00a0 They really believe this.<\/p>\n

And if you take time to understand how they have just been smothered with this stuff, you would understand why the Democrats have made it possible.\u00a0 And this is how using fear, using darkness, using a never-ending crisis rooted in chaos, they keep these people loyal to Big Government command-and-control Democrat-run institutions, all to save the planet.\u00a0 And it\u2019s how they incorporate them.\u00a0 It\u2019s how they recruit them.\u00a0 “You can help us save the planet.\u00a0 Your parents and previous generations have been in the process of destroying our great climate, ruining the chance for you to have a productive, enjoyable life,” blah, blah.<\/p>\n

But you can fix it.\u00a0 And of course how do you fix it?\u00a0 A, you have to agree with everything, and, B, you sign on, you vote Democrat all the time. You make sure that Democrats win and you believe in Big Government and you punish Republicans, and that\u2019s how it works.\u00a0 And all of this is rooted in what?\u00a0 Fear.\u00a0 And that\u2019s why Millennials can\u2019t handle anything on college campus.\u00a0 It\u2019s why they need their safe spaces.\u00a0 It\u2019s why we joke and call them young little snowflakes.<\/p>\n

<\/a>They really cannot handle any opposition.\u00a0 They\u2019re scared to death.\u00a0 They have really, really been conditioned to believe that they are going to die because of capitalism and fossil fuels.\u00a0 It is irrational. It\u2019s not true.\u00a0 They have been lied to through and through.\u00a0 But with the stakes so high, they have to believe it.\u00a0 And the reason for that long set up is to share with you the next story.\u00a0 This is how they do it.<\/p>\n

“Computers Will Use More Electricity than the Entire World Can Generate by 2040, Tech Experts Claim.”<\/a> Now, this is bogus in terms of the math, in terms of the science.\u00a0 It\u2019s bogus.\u00a0 Computers do not use that much power.\u00a0 Recharging your phones, keeping your computers charged, your iPad, minuscule amount of power.<\/p>\n

But take note of the age: 2040, if you happen to be 18 today, 2040?\u00a0 Why, that means it\u2019s gonna start getting worse even before that, 2030, 2035, right in the middle of your peak years. We\u2019re gonna run out of power. We\u2019re gonna run out of electricity. We\u2019re not gonna be able to play Pokemon Go. We\u2019re not gonna be able to watch YouTube. We\u2019re not gonna be able to stream Netflix.<\/p>\n

They\u2019re in sheer panic.\u00a0 And of course what else do they believe?\u00a0 They believe that fossil fuel use, which is the only salvation, the only hope we\u2019ve got of increasing our energy supply is fossil fuels, they believe that fossil fuels destroying the planet are gonna kill them.\u00a0 So they want more wind, more solar things that do not work, but now you add to it, and where\u2019s this story run?\u00a0 It\u2019s the UK Sun.\u00a0 It\u2019ll spread.\u00a0 It\u2019ll be all over my tech blogs by this afternoon, I guarantee you 100% agreement.<\/p>\n

And then this story will morph into we have to defeat Trump, Trump\u2019s irresponsible, the Republicans are irresponsible, conservatives don\u2019t care, they\u2019re destroying the planet for profit before we all die, blah, blah, that\u2019s how it\u2019ll manifest itself.<\/p>\n

The story itself says: “Modern humans depend on their computers to do everything from ordering food to finding a romantic partner. But the current digital big bang could end with a disappointing whimper because humanity may be unable to produce enough power to keep computers running, experts have warned. A leading technical organised called the Semiconductor Industry Association has produced a study,” probably just as flawed as every one of these global warming models is flawed, “which said that computer-crazy society will be running short of electricity by 2040.<\/p>\n

“It wrote: ‘Computing will not be sustainable by 2040, when the energy required for computing will exceed the estimated world\u2019s energy production.\u2019 … This means tech firms will have to think of new ways to make computers powerful enough to keep up with demands.”<\/p>\n

What?\u00a0 Wait.\u00a0 We need more powerful — wait.\u00a0 Have you ever wondered why they love Elon Musk so much?\u00a0 They love Elon Musk because they think Elon Musk is a genius at coming up with alternatives to oil and gasoline, fossil fuels, his electric car.\u00a0 What do you think is used to charge the giant batteries in these cars?\u00a0 It is power plants, electricity fired by coal.\u00a0 You can\u2019t charge an electric car with wind, and you can\u2019t do it with the sun.<\/p>\n

All of this stuff is so patently absurd.\u00a0 But they believe it.\u00a0 And now you tell them that they aren\u2019t gonna be able to use their computers, that we\u2019re not gonna have enough electricity.\u00a0 If this were true, and it isn\u2019t, but if it is, you know what the answer would be?\u00a0 More fracking.\u00a0 Guess what?\u00a0 They hate fracking.\u00a0 They\u2019ve been conditioned to believe that fracking causes earthquakes, poisons the groundwater and basically kills people while enriching Big Oil.\u00a0 You want to talk about dark. You want to talk about scary. You want to talk about foreboding, the Democrat Party owns it, and you\u2019re gonna see it on display at this convention.<\/p>\n

You\u2019re gonna see every hand-wringing whine and moan there is about poverty, about injustice, about discrimination.\u00a0 Everything they\u2019ve got a grievance on, you\u2019re gonna see it portrayed.\u00a0 Hillary Clinton\u2019s out there telling the VFW she doesn\u2019t like hearing people down talk this country.\u00a0 Well, guess what, Hillary?\u00a0 That\u2019s what your party has made their bones on.\u00a0 The Democrat Party does nothing but rip this country to shreds and tell us we all must now participate in the new normal, which is a decline, a decline in standards of living, a decline in economic output, a decline in progressive technology, advancement.\u00a0 We just have to realize that we can\u2019t be the superpower that we once were.<\/p>\n

But you watch, if you watch this convention, you\u2019re gonna hear a never-ending parade of every wacko minority group you have ever heard of and then some, whining and moaning about how unfair and unjust, despite the fact they\u2019re winning everything.\u00a0 They are succeeding in corrupting so much of our culture, and yet they\u2019re not happy.\u00a0 This is a party that ought to be happy this week.\u00a0 They had two terms of Barack Hussein Obama. They got pretty much everything Obama wanted.\u00a0 They got national, universal health care.\u00a0 They got the dissolution of the US military while deploying it in more places where it\u2019s not winning.\u00a0 I mean, they love that.\u00a0 The left loves a military unsuccessful, because an unsuccessful military argues for doing away with it.<\/p>\n

They\u2019ve gotten everything they want.\u00a0 Well, they lost the House and the Senate to evil Republicans. But policy-wise they\u2019ve gotten all this spending. They got Santa Claus from the federal government. You got 94 million Americans not working, but they\u2019re eating, and yet they\u2019re not happy.\u00a0 And they\u2019re, by the way, constitutionally incapable of happiness.\u00a0 As progressives, as liberals, they can\u2019t be.\u00a0 They don\u2019t smile.\u00a0 They don\u2019t know how to be happy.\u00a0 They\u2019re uncomfortable being happy because they feel guilty.\u00a0 How can we be happy when there\u2019s so much suffering in the world, when there\u2019s so much misery out there, largely caused by the United States to boot.\u00a0 They\u2019re never happy.<\/p>\n

So you\u2019re gonna see dark, you\u2019re gonna see pessimism, and you just keep in mind as you watch this convention, everything complained about — and they\u2019ll try their uplifting stuff. They\u2019ll try to be positive about Obama and his accomplishments and achievements, but they\u2019re gonna be ultimately exhibiting who they really are. The negative and the pessimism will triumph at this convention, and you will see how dark and foreboding they are and what all that really is.\u00a0 And you will hear them try to scare their younger voters.\u00a0 Who knows what we\u2019re gonna hear on climate change and all this other stuff.<\/p>\n

By the way, I should add, not only are computers gonna use more electricity than the entire world can generate by 2040, did you hear about John Kerry, who served in Vietnam?\u00a0 Here\u2019s another one.\u00a0 “Air Conditioners Are as Big a Threat as ISIS.”<\/a>\u00a0 Air-conditioning is as big a threat as ISIS.\u00a0 That\u2019s deranged.\u00a0 That is delusional.\u00a0 It\u2019s dangerously delusional, because young people believe this crap.\u00a0 They believe this garbage.\u00a0 If it has to do with climate change, if it has to do with the world ending, if it has to do with lifestyles evaporating, they\u2019ll believe it. That\u2019s how they\u2019ve been raised. That\u2019s what they\u2019ve been pummeled with from the earliest points in their life where they\u2019re able to comprehend anything.<\/p>\n

So you think John Kerry is an idiot.\u00a0 No, he\u2019s not an idiot.\u00a0 He\u2019s advancing the agenda.\u00a0 “Air Conditioners Are as Big a Threat as ISIS.”\u00a0 They\u2019re pushing this climate change biz because that\u2019s the single greatest power grab next up.\u00a0 They got all the power they wanted from Obamacare.\u00a0 The next big power grab is climate change.\u00a0 That\u2019s globalist power.\u00a0 That\u2019s massive tax increases on carbon.\u00a0 That is massive alteration of lifestyle.\u00a0 That\u2019s anti-progress.\u00a0 That\u2019s making everybody poorer.\u00a0 But, more importantly, it\u2019s putting these people in charge of the world under the guise that only they can save it, because we, the citizens of the world, are too stupid to conserve, we are too stupid to live responsibly.\u00a0 We are responsible for the waste. We are responsible for the destruction, and the world\u2019s leaders need to come together and save the planet from us.<\/p>\n

And young Democrats are checking off every box.\u00a0 Yep, agree with that, agree with that.\u00a0 That\u2019s why I harp on climate change so much, because it\u2019s propaganda for something that the supporters have no idea they\u2019re really being conditioned to support.\u00a0 And this air conditioners as big a threat as ISIS and not enough power to run your computers by 2040 so no Netflix, no Pokemon Go, no whatever by 2040, oh, my God, you talk about panic, dark, negative, scaremongering and fearing.\u00a0 And we haven\u2019t even gotten to the official gaveling of this convention yet.<\/p>\n

BREAK TRANSCRIPT<\/p>\n

RUSH: There\u2019s one more observation I want to make on this story: “Computers Will Use More Electricity than the Entire World Can Generate by 2040, Tech Experts Claim.”\u00a0 That makes it gospel. People that read that, it\u2019s gospel.\u00a0 What does this story assume for it to come true?\u00a0 It assumes that we, the American people, are just gonna sit here like bumps on a log. We are just dumb idiots and we\u2019re just gonna sit here and this is just gonna happen.<\/p>\n

There isn\u2019t gonna be any more tech evolution. There isn\u2019t gonna be any more advancement. There isn\u2019t gonna be any more improvement. There isn\u2019t gonna be anything that you can name.\u00a0 We\u2019re just bumps on a log.\u00a0 We\u2019re just sitting here. This is the static analysis.\u00a0 The story doesn\u2019t factor the continuing innovation that\u2019s happening. The innovation that\u2019s happening in the tech world is happening so fast, people can\u2019t keep up with it.<\/p>\n

Manufacturers can\u2019t push out new tech fast enough to satisfy the craving of a tech-savvy public, and yet all of a sudden in 2040, we\u2019re gonna run out of electricity to use our computers?\u00a0 That\u2019s like saying General Motors is gonna sit around and continue to make cars while we run out of oil.\u00a0 It\u2019s just idiocy.\u00a0 But the thing is, it\u2019s a seductive headline, and young skulls full of mush who think they\u2019re brilliant, who think they know everything, are gonna eat it up, \u2019cause they love crisis! They love pessimism.<\/p>\n

They love this kind of gloom. It gets \u2019em energized.\u00a0 And I\u2019m just sick of the lies.\u00a0 I\u2019m so sick of this kind of distortion, this lying to people — this purposeful, constant effort to drum pessimism and negativism into people for the advancement of a political party\u2019s agenda.\u00a0 And that\u2019s why we\u2019re up against every day, and it\u2019s a new thing every day. We wake up every day and it\u2019s some new assault — and if we\u2019re serious and care, we have to mount a defense to it.<\/p>\n

Let me grab a call before time runs out.\u00a0 It\u2019s John in Detroit.\u00a0 Great to have you, sir.\u00a0 Hi.<\/p>\n

CALLER:\u00a0 Rush, it\u2019s an honor to talk to you.<\/p>\n

RUSH:\u00a0 Thank you.<\/p>\n

CALLER:\u00a0 Let me run by you what I do.\u00a0 I teach college chemistry at a university in Ohio.\u00a0 And I have been against global warming for 15 years.\u00a0 Once I saw it in the textbooks that I was forced to teach it. I said no.\u00a0 So I spend about 20 minutes in a semester on the anti-global warming.\u00a0 And my angle is, \u2019cause you don\u2019t have the raw data.\u00a0 I tell my students: “Until you have the raw data, you can\u2019t believe anything.”<\/p>\n

RUSH:\u00a0 And there isn\u2019t any.\u00a0 It\u2019s all computer models.<\/p>\n

CALLER:\u00a0 Exactly.\u00a0 Exactly.\u00a0 Exactly.\u00a0 So what I do is I took every barrel of oil harvested since 1900… I\u2019m a chemistry professor, okay?\u00a0 If every barrel of oil was converted to octane and that octane was burned to CO2 and water, how much CO2 maximum could you have in the atmosphere? The change in it, .12%.\u00a0 So I said, “That\u2019s the maximum you can have.”\u00a0 But I said, “What you don\u2019t realize is, the plants absorb it.” I teach chemistry, and I teach biochemistry, and I will tell them that.\u00a0 So I said, “It can\u2019t go any higher than this, and it\u2019s gonna be absorbed by the plants anyway.”<\/p>\n

RUSH:\u00a0 Here\u2019s the problem, though, that you\u2019re encountering — and I\u2019ve had to tell a number of conservative climate scientists this.\u00a0 You got truth on your side, and you\u2019re responding with the science.\u00a0 But the science is not what is making people believe this crap.\u00a0 Politics is.\u00a0 Global warming is a political agenda.\u00a0 Climate change is a political agenda.\u00a0 It isn\u2019t science.\u00a0 There isn\u2019t any science.\u00a0 It\u2019s masked.\u00a0 It\u2019s camouflaged as science.<\/p>\n

“Consensus of scientists.”\u00a0 But it isn\u2019t science.\u00a0 It\u2019s politics, and so they believe a political thing, these young people do, and you\u2019re teaching them the science and chemistry — and while they may even believe you, you haven\u2019t addressed the politics, the way it\u2019s been sold to them.\u00a0 And until science finds a way — conservative science finds a way — to do that, they\u2019re gonna continue to succeed with this stuff.<\/p>\n

RUSH:\u00a0 No, no, that\u2019s right.\u00a0 Air-conditioning.\u00a0 Well, John Kerry says it here. “It\u2019s hard for some people to grasp it, but what we — you — are doing here right now is of equal importance because it has the ability to literally save life on the planet itself.” Air-conditioning is killing people! Do you know that?\u00a0 Air-conditioning is killing people, folks.\u00a0 And the sad thing is that there are young people that buy it.<\/p>\n

RUSH:\u00a0 I want to grab Steve in Rockford, Illinois.\u00a0 Steve, I\u2019ve got one minute.\u00a0 Can you squeeze it?<\/p>\n

CALLER:\u00a0 Yes.<\/p>\n

CALLER:\u00a0 I just kind of wondered what you thought we\u2019re gonna do with all these wonderful electric cars if we can\u2019t even plug in our computers.<\/p>\n

RUSH:\u00a0 I think that\u2019s good a good point.\u00a0 We had a story earlier in the program, typical, typical left-wing scare tactic aimed at young Millennials, and the story is that we\u2019re gonna run out of electricity to run your computers by 2040.\u00a0 By the year 2040, no more electricity.\u00a0 You will not be able to stream Netflix or Snapchat or play Pokemon Go or whatever you\u2019re doing.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s silly.\u00a0 It\u2019s absurd.\u00a0 And his point is, maybe if you stop driving your electric car and using so much coal powered electricity — ha-ha-ha — you could save some for 2040 and still use your computer.\u00a0 It\u2019s a great snide comment.\u00a0 I love snide comments like that.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
