I\u2019m young and ambitious. I have a bright future in front of me, and I want to say that we\u2019re actually the key to this election.<\/p>\n<p>You might be scratching your head saying, &#8220;No, you guys are all liberal.&#8221;\u00a0 But we are looking at a future under Hillary Clinton that\u2019s been destroyed and distraught by the last eight years of Obama.\u00a0 And you ask yourself, what is my useless degree gonna do, where is the jobs future, you know?\u00a0 You hear so many people complain about gay and lesbian rights and Black Lives Matter and all these other rights, Muslims and everything else in the world, and I talk to my friends on a daily basis, and I\u2019ve been able to convert some of them, not as many as I want, but to the conservative ideal. One of the ways I\u2019ve been able to do that is James Carville. Back in my boyhood, the \u201992 election, he said, &#8220;It\u2019s the economy, stupid.&#8221;\u00a0 And that really is the key.\u00a0 Donald Trump is the candidate that we have to be get behind.\u00a0 He\u2019s a man that has insight. He\u2019s brought New York up from where it was in the 1980s to where it is now &#8212;<\/p>\n<p>RUSH:\u00a0 Let me interrupt you quickly here.\u00a0 Why are you and your other Millennials who like Trump, can you tell me what it is about Trump that makes you want to support him.<\/p>\n<p>CALLER:\u00a0 Well, it\u2019s the passion and fire he has.\u00a0 If you listen to Hillary Clinton and the liar and the cheater she is, so many of my friends, even the ones who are pronounced leftists, just the most radical ones, they\u2019re really behind Bernie. He\u2019s the one they wanted, and they won\u2019t vote for her, which is awesome, and I get as many of them as I can get to convert, I do, but as many of them I can\u2019t, I say, &#8220;Don\u2019t vote.&#8221;\u00a0 You had an individual on there earlier that said that she lived in California and that her state didn\u2019t matter.\u00a0 Well, Michigan, we\u2019re a very blue state, we\u2019re a very blue-collar state.\u00a0 Why are we blue?\u00a0 We\u2019re blue because we\u2019ve had liberal policies in Detroit that have failed for generations, and we\u2019re now reaping the repercussions that have destroyed my state.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH:\u00a0 Colson, let me share with you some of my thoughts on what you\u2019re saying.\u00a0 I don\u2019t doubt that there are conservative Millennials out there and I hope that all Millennials end up shifting to the ground that you occupy.\u00a0 I just happen to know they don\u2019t.\u00a0 I\u2019ve studied it.\u00a0 I have defended Millennials here.\u00a0 I\u2019ve appealed to them.\u00a0 I really resent the way Millennials are approached.\u00a0 I think one of the greatest illustrations that I could give you of how the Democrat Party poisons and scares and frightens, particularly young people, is global warming, slash, climate change.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/live-rush-limbaugh.pantheonsite.io\/daily\/2015\/12\/01\/what_i_learned_by_cord_cutting_millennials_enjoy_trauma_and_suffering\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><img id=\"eZObject_125179\" class=\"img_middle\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/RushCord-Cutting-Rush-1.jpg\" align=\"middle\" \/><\/a>I know that a majority of Millennials believe it.\u00a0 And they\u2019re scared to death.\u00a0 They don\u2019t think there\u2019s gonna be an inhabitable planet when they\u2019re 65.\u00a0 <a href=\"http:\/\/live-rush-limbaugh.pantheonsite.io\/daily\/2015\/12\/01\/what_i_learned_by_cord_cutting_millennials_enjoy_trauma_and_suffering\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">I read their books.\u00a0 I read the movies and videos they produce.\u00a0 I read the blogs they post.<\/a>\u00a0 They believe this!\u00a0 You know, for the Democrat Party to come out and accuse Trump of creating this dark, dire &#8212; what the hell has the Democrat Party done with climate change and global warming?\u00a0 They have literally paralyzed a percentage of the Millennial generation into thinking there isn\u2019t a future, unless.<\/p>\n<p>You ought to read the books that they\u2019re writing; you ought to read the movies that they\u2019re producing.\u00a0 It\u2019s all based on dank survival.\u00a0 There is no enjoyment in life.\u00a0 It\u2019s all you can do to survive.\u00a0 They have created this and I don\u2019t care where you go, in journalism, when you read Millennials, that\u2019s gospel, that\u2019s the issue that counts.\u00a0 They have been lied to. They have been misled.\u00a0 Their futures, in their own minds, don\u2019t exist because the Democrat Party has shoveled that excrement into their heads for as long as they\u2019ve been able to hear and read.\u00a0 It\u2019s near criminal, what they\u2019ve done.<\/p>\n<p>BREAK TRANSCRIPT<\/p>\n<p>RUSH:\u00a0 These days kids have grown up watching Captain Planet. They have been subjected to this propaganda, and the danger, they believe it.\u00a0 The left oversells this stuff to try to get to be believed by as many people as possible, and these young people believe this to the hilt.\u00a0 And they are convinced that the planet\u2019s gonna be uninhabitable before they die.\u00a0 They really are.\u00a0 Many of them are, folks.\u00a0 Don\u2019t doubt me on this.<\/p>\n<p>BREAK TRANSCRIPT<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Let me say on this global warming business thing for a little while, but not the way you\u2019re used to hearing me talking about it, \u2019cause I know you know everything I\u2019ve said about that.\u00a0 I\u2019ve talked about the enough that you remember that, but it\u2019s different here in the context of Millennials.<\/p>\n<p>Let\u2019s now expand this to this phenomenon on college campus that, frankly, you and I, when we look at it, we\u2019re perplexed and we just want to laugh at this need, this concept of safe spaces where kids need protection from words that make \u2019em uncomfortable. &#8220;I don\u2019t want to hear it! I don\u2019t want to hear it!&#8221; and they cover their ears and demand the university construct or denote safe spaces where they don\u2019t have to hear anything that makes \u2019em uncomfortable.<\/p>\n<p>We\u2019re looking at that, &#8220;What the hell is this, and why are we accommodating it?&#8221;\u00a0 We\u2019ve even got a name for this kind of student.\u00a0 It\u2019s called innocent snowflake or some such snowflake, and they\u2019re all over the place.\u00a0 And they appear to be dominating and running college campuses.\u00a0 From the Ivy League all the way west of the Mississippi, what in the world is going on.\u00a0 You\u2019ll find the answer if you have the patience to dig deep into how the left has sold global warming.<\/p>\n<p>And, again, I\u2019m bouncing off Hillary Clinton\u2019s complaint that Trump\u2019s speech last night was dark and foreboding and filled with nothing but anger and hate and fear.\u00a0 And, my friends, I\u2019m here to tell you that we cannot even compete with the Democrats when it comes to scaring people.\u00a0 It is their stock-in-trade.\u00a0 It is in their how to manual to acquire power.\u00a0 They frighten their own voters and as many people in this country as often as they can, and they ratchet it down, they double down and they triple down on it, irrationally so.<\/p>\n<p>If you have a Millennial child, you probably are familiar with their almost paranoid concern with the concept of sustainability.\u00a0 And their need, their paranoia of sustainability derives from what they\u2019ve been told about global warming.\u00a0 And remember, now they\u2019ve been told this from the most impressionable years of their lives, age three, four, five, pre-K, kindergarten, they haven\u2019t escaped it.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s in every class that\u2019s taught.\u00a0 It\u2019s in every movie they\u2019ve watched.\u00a0 It\u2019s in every song they listen to.\u00a0 It\u2019s in every book or whatever they read.\u00a0 They can\u2019t escape that their parents and grandparents and even great-great grandparents destroyed the planet or set up the process of destroying the planet, and that\u2019s the use of fossil fuels.<\/p>\n<p>Why are these electric vehicle gurus so heralded?\u00a0 Why are they such heroes?\u00a0 These guys that haven\u2019t really done anything but put a battery in a car are considered the future, they\u2019re brilliant, these guys are their heroes.\u00a0 And they can\u2019t even do it on their own.\u00a0 They have to use government grants or contributions or donations to build their businesses because the market for this stuff is still so tiny.\u00a0 But yet these are their heroes, \u2019cause they have been told, and they believe it, that there isn\u2019t going to be an inhabitable planet before they die.<\/p>\n<p>They believe all of this.\u00a0 Every lie that has been told about climate change, global warming, rising sea levels, temperature increases that are not possible for humanity to deal with, they have bought it. \u00a0They couldn\u2019t help but buy it, particularly if they don\u2019t have parents at home who can refute it, because they\u2019re pummeled with it.\u00a0 And it has made them scared to death.<\/p>\n<p><img id=\"eZObject_125198\" class=\"img_middle\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/Fear.jpg\" align=\"middle\" \/>You talk about using fear, why, we can\u2019t even hold a candle to the Democrat Party and their leftist interest groups on this.\u00a0 And the whole thing, this is the kicker, is a hoax.\u00a0 The world is not even warming, and it hasn\u2019t for the last 18 years.\u00a0 But the fear is so deeply ingrained, they can\u2019t afford not to believe it. So even if it isn\u2019t warming, they believe cockamamie lies constructed to explain it, such as, &#8220;Well, the ocean\u2019s really swallowed a lot more of the heat than our models predicted.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Oh, that\u2019s why, but it\u2019s still there?&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Yes, it\u2019s still there.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;It\u2019s still gonna kill us?&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Yes, it\u2019s still gonna kill you.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s a hoax, it\u2019s a total hoax and when they hear me say it, they think I\u2019m a lunatic. They think that I am the biggest closed-minded whatever because in their world, I\u2019m talking about the young people and Millennials that believe it, and not all of them do, but the ones who do are like every other leftist, they run media, they run blogs, they\u2019re entertainment, they have the ability to use mass media to expand on their beliefs.\u00a0 And that\u2019s why there\u2019s such fear on college campus.<\/p>\n<p>Their whole lives they\u2019ve been raised with the idea that countless forces arrayed against them are destroying the very infrastructure needed to save and produce life.\u00a0 They\u2019re not liberal. They\u2019re not conservative. They\u2019re just pessimistic.\u00a0 But anybody that comes along that doesn\u2019t want to deal with climate change is not gonna get their support.\u00a0 Anybody that comes along and doesn\u2019t acknowledge the threat, doesn\u2019t acknowledge the danger.<\/p>\n<p><img id=\"eZObject_125200\" class=\"img_right\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/DemocratPlaybookSHORT.jpg\" align=\"right\" \/>And look how successful the use of fear by the Democrat Party and the left has been on this.\u00a0 It\u2019s gone way beyond global warming and climate change now.\u00a0 Now it\u2019s gotten to the point where on college campus, these little flowers, these little wallflower, what\u2019s the name I used a minute ago, they need protection from words that make them nervous.\u00a0 Snowflakes.\u00a0 They\u2019re running around literally afraid to breathe \u2019cause there\u2019s CO2 and that\u2019s a destroyer.\u00a0 CO2, that\u2019s a climate change gas, that\u2019s a greenhouse gas, gotta be careful how we even breathe.<\/p>\n<p>There\u2019s a lot to explain this.\u00a0 So they\u2019re gonna watch a guy like Trump last night, and they\u2019re gonna go one of two ways.\u00a0 They\u2019re gonna, &#8220;Oh, my God.\u00a0 This guy doesn\u2019t get it.\u00a0 He\u2019s gonna destroy us.\u00a0 This guy is just gonna start slashing and burning forests.\u00a0 He\u2019s gonna slash-and-burn whatever.&#8221;\u00a0 That\u2019s how they\u2019re gonna see it.\u00a0 And others are gonna see him as a fix and it will go both ways.<\/p>\n<p>In fact, grab audio sound bite number two.\u00a0 I got so caught up in what was happening to Millennials, and figured a lot of this out just by watching the TV shows they think are great.\u00a0 You couldn\u2019t handle 10 minutes of \u2019em.\u00a0 You\u2019d say, &#8220;What in the world am I wasting my time here?&#8221;\u00a0 These shows are devoted to characters that are under assault from everything, and the whole point of life is just to survive.\u00a0 That\u2019s all it is.\u00a0 And the better you are at suffering and the better you are at dealing with your own misery determines what kind of human being you are.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The idea of accomplishing anything?\u00a0 Who\u2019s got time for that?\u00a0 We don\u2019t have time to accomplish.\u00a0 We\u2019ve gotta get through the day.&#8221;\u00a0 And they live in the greatest, the most prosperous, and the freest country on earth, and they haven\u2019t been told about it at all.\u00a0 They haven\u2019t been taught about it. They haven\u2019t taught about opportunity. They haven\u2019t been taught about accessing it.\u00a0 And we can all of this right at the Democrat Party, Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, and you take your pick, any name you want to mention.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/live-rush-limbaugh.pantheonsite.io\/daily\/2015\/12\/01\/what_i_learned_by_cord_cutting_millennials_enjoy_trauma_and_suffering\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><img id=\"eZObject_125199\" class=\"img_middle\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/RushEndISNotNear.jpg\" align=\"middle\" \/><\/a>This is from <a href=\"http:\/\/live-rush-limbaugh.pantheonsite.io\/daily\/2015\/12\/01\/what_i_learned_by_cord_cutting_millennials_enjoy_trauma_and_suffering\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">December 1st of 2015.\u00a0 Wow, it\u2019s that long ago?<\/a>\u00a0 I thought it was&#8230; Yeah, it would be.\u00a0 So it\u2019s almost a year ago.\u00a0 December 1st, 2015. Again, I want to use this to bounce of the Drive-Bys calling Trump\u2019s speech dark and dystopian.\u00a0 But Trump is trying to connect to Millennials, and I hope he can and talk them out of things like this.<\/p>\n<p>BEGIN EXCERPT<\/p>\n<p>RUSH ARCHIVE: I watched a bunch of television shows that through the process of reading my tech blogs and I\u2019m focusing more and more on reading things written by Millennials, TV critics, sportswriters and this kind of stuff.\u00a0 I\u2019m really trying to get a handle on that generation.\u00a0 I have picked up on something that is, to me, upsetting and disturbing, and it\u2019s very simple.\u00a0 Once I point this out to you, I think if you pay attention as you go forward you\u2019ll notice it, too.<\/p>\n<p>It ties in with everything going on at college campuses today, student protests and so forth.\u00a0 They don\u2019t want to be upset. They want these safe areas. They don\u2019t want anybody disagreeing with all these childish little, immature demands that they\u2019re making.\u00a0 What I have noticed is, the more trauma in a TV show &#8212; the more personal trauma, the more suffering &#8212; the better.<\/p>\n<p>These young Millennials, they love television shows and movies depicting stress, posttraumatic stress disorder, trauma. The worse the better, the suffering. And the purpose of television these days, for them, is to demonstrate how to cope with all of this.\u00a0 And the reason that they enjoy this, I have concluded, is \u2019cause that\u2019s what their lives are today. I\u2019m not saying all Millennials.\u00a0 I\u2019m talking about these media-oriented critics, TV movie critics.<\/p>\n<p>I don\u2019t know how representative of the entire generation it is, but it\u2019s gotta be pretty sizable.\u00a0 The more trauma, the more suffering, the greater they think the TV show or the movie is, because that\u2019s what their lives are now: Trauma and suffering and how to cope.\u00a0 And a great TV show to them is one that demonstrates how to cope with all this trauma and suffering.<\/p>\n<p>END EXCERPT<\/p>\n<p>RUSH:\u00a0 And then I found &#8212;<a href=\"http:\/\/live-rush-limbaugh.pantheonsite.io\/daily\/2016\/06\/20\/how_to_convince_millennials_hillary_must_be_defeated\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">\u00a0I ran across &#8212; a book called Ready Player One, written by a Millennial<\/a>.\u00a0 It\u2019s four years old now.\u00a0 It\u2019s dystopian and it\u2019s rooted in life in 2040, I believe, where major cities are gone.\u00a0 They\u2019re just&#8230; They\u2019re there, but they\u2019re garbage.\u00a0 Buildings are half torn down.\u00a0 It looks like a Mad Max movie.\u00a0 And everybody lives in &#8220;stacks,&#8221; trailers and RVs stacked on top of each other to take up less space.<\/p>\n<p>And it\u2019s so bad that a video game made up of augmented and virtual reality is how everybody survives.\u00a0 They can\u2019t deal with the real world; it\u2019s gone.\u00a0 It\u2019s been destroyed by climate change.\u00a0 It\u2019s been destroyed by people who believe in God.\u00a0 (There is no God.\u00a0 That was a giant con game.)\u00a0 There is nothing.\u00a0 There\u2019s nothing when you\u2019re alive; there\u2019s nothing when you\u2019re dead.\u00a0 You\u2019re just nothing. Ever.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/live-rush-limbaugh.pantheonsite.io\/daily\/2016\/06\/20\/how_to_convince_millennials_hillary_must_be_defeated\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><img id=\"eZObject_125180\" class=\"img_middle\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/HillaryMillennialsReady-Player-One-Hillary.jpg\" align=\"middle\" \/><\/a>So the most popular guy on the planet in this book has created a video game that everybody plays where they can actually go to a beach, or they can do this or that, visit places they could never ever go in their lives real lives that don\u2019t exist anymore \u2019cause of climate change.\u00a0 And it\u2019s all about how&#8230; Well, the concept is winning a prize by finding some hidden treasure that the author of the game has hidden somewhere.\u00a0 But here\u2019s how I described it, and this was just back in June.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH ARCHIVE:\u00a0 So I was told about this book on Saturday and that Spielberg is producing the movie adaptation\/production starting in the fall.\u00a0 Now, normally people would be saying, &#8220;Come on, Rush, you gotta be&#8230;&#8221;\u00a0 They all liked the Beatles at one point; then they grow out of it and so forth.\u00a0 I don\u2019t look at that.\u00a0 I think it\u2019s important. This stuff\u2019s important.\u00a0 You want to figure out why they vote, why they think what they think.\u00a0 More importantly, you want to know what they think.\u00a0 So when I was reading this book, I had no idea what it was.\u00a0 When it was told to me, it was, &#8220;Rush, I can\u2019t explain it.\u00a0 You\u2019ve just gotta read it.
