RUSH: Ben Carson last night connected — well, here\u2019s the headline.\u00a0 One of them is the New York Daily News, and this one is different, I don\u2019t know what website it is.\u00a0 “Ben Carson Connects Clinton to Satan in Convention Address — Ben Carson links Hillary Clinton to Lucifer in Republican National Convention speech because of her 1969 college thesis.\u00a0 Dr. Ben Carson suggested that electing Hillary Clinton would be the same as endorsing the devil himself.”<\/p>\n

No.\u00a0 He didn\u2019t say that.\u00a0 All Ben Carson did was point out something the Drive-By Media has studiously ignored.\u00a0 In fact, try to reverse this.\u00a0 If the Drive-Bys could discover that Trump\u2019s hero was Lucifer, can you imagine what they would do with that?\u00a0 What happened is, Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama both are devotees of a genuine lunatic by the name of Saul Alinsky.<\/p>\n

Now, he was brilliant.\u00a0 Saul Alinsky wrote a book called Rules for Radicals, and it was all about how to dismantle nations like the United States and turn them over to whoever, the underclass, the minorities, the victims of capitalism, although it was much more pointed than that.\u00a0 And in the dedication, Rules for Radicals, Saul Alinsky dedicates the book to the first radical, Lucifer, Satan.<\/p>\n

Here is what Ben Carson had to say last night.\u00a0 And by the way, some conservative blogs are really ripping into Carson for doing this.\u00a0 Some of the blogs I\u2019ve seen said that their assessment of the convention last night was the Trump kids were good<\/a>, that D. J. Jr. was a little bit better than Tiffany, that Christie, Chris Christie just knocked it out of the park. Oh, my God, what a great speech, indicting Hillary Clinton and having the audience serve as the jury for one indictment after another on her foreign policy failures and screw ups.\u00a0 And then the last thing, Ben Carson came along and destroyed the whole night by delivering a speech that was aimed at a small subset of extreme wacko conservatives.<\/p>\n

Somebody speaking to a convention using quotes from Saul Alinsky may as well not even be at that convention.\u00a0 Nobody cares, nobody knows who Alinsky is.\u00a0 Some of the conservative blogs said that.\u00a0 So there are a lot of people not really in touch with what\u2019s happening here. But here\u2019s the essence of it, Ben Carson last night, I, frankly, thought, just in terms of energy, presentation and focus, I think this is the best speech I\u2019ve seen him give in a long time.\u00a0 Here\u2019s a segment of it, a little portion.<\/p>\n

CARSON:\u00a0 Let me tell you something about Saul Alinsky.\u00a0 He wrote a book called Rules for Radicals.\u00a0 On the dedication page, it acknowledges Lucifer, the original radical who gained his own kingdom.\u00a0 Now, think about that.\u00a0 This is a nation where our founding document, the Declaration of Independence, talks about certain inalienable rights that come from our Creator.\u00a0 This is a nation where our Pledge of Allegiance says we are one nation under God.\u00a0 This is a nation where every coin in our pocket and every bill in our wallet says, “In God we trust.”\u00a0 So are we willing to elect someone as president who has as their role model somebody who acknowledges Lucifer?<\/p>\n
