RUSH: We got Cliff back from Baton Rouge.\u00a0 We had to suspend our call for the rotten cell connection.\u00a0 Welcome back, Cliff.\u00a0 How are you doing?<\/p>\n

CALLER:\u00a0 I\u2019m doing pretty good, Rush.<\/p>\n

RUSH:\u00a0 Okay.\u00a0 Have at it.\u00a0 You are back with us now. Your turn.<\/p>\n

CALLER:\u00a0 Most of the agitators during the dimensions here, the ones that wanted to block traffic, which is a no-no in Baton Rouge.<\/p>\n

RUSH:\u00a0 Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait.\u00a0 Hold it, hold it, hold it.\u00a0 Are we talking about what happened in Baton Rouge or are we talking about the convention?<\/p>\n

CALLER:\u00a0 No, I\u2019m talking about what happened in Baton Rouge<\/a>.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Okay. So you\u2019re switching gears here.\u00a0 I just wanted to make sure people knew.<\/p>\n

<\/a>CALLER:\u00a0 Yeah.\u00a0 During the protest, most of the people — the vast majority of them — were arrested for doing silly things like blocking traffic, which, you can\u2019t do that in Baton Rouge.\u00a0 There\u2019s no loop around the town.\u00a0 They went to jail.\u00a0 The vast majority of them were from out of town.\u00a0 And this shooter is apparently was from out of town as well.\u00a0 So to me, the dominant media have blood on their hands.\u00a0 They whipped this thing into a frenzy. We\u2019ve had a false narrative for, what, two years now with Ferguson? “Hands up, don\u2019t shoot” is a lie.<\/p>\n

RUSH:\u00a0 Okay.\u00a0 I\u2019m lost.\u00a0 You talked about your focus the media how they whip people into a frenzy and yet it was not Baton Rouge.<\/p>\n

CALLER:\u00a0 Right.<\/p>\n

RUSH:\u00a0 It was outsiders who are responsible for all the things that went wrong?<\/p>\n

CALLER:\u00a0 Right.\u00a0 Well, there were protests in downtown Baton Rouge, and they shut down one surface street in downtown, Government Street.\u00a0 They wanted to shut down I-10.\u00a0 And Baton Rouge is… I don\u2019t care who you are, Baton Rougens would hate that. I don\u2019t care what side of the issue you\u2019re on, this town becomes… If you slow one point of traffic in this town in the right place, you virtually bring the whole town to a standstill.<\/p>\n

You got I-10, US 61, US 90 the all come together in Baton Rouge, and I-12 does as well, and there\u2019s no loop around the city.\u00a0 And there\u2019s also no surface loop around the city.\u00a0 You know, the city\u2019s built around lakes, swamps, and rivers.\u00a0 And there\u2019s just nowhere to go.\u00a0 So if you snarl traffic in one place, you virtually shut the city down.\u00a0 So the people that got arrested for trying to do that, they weren\u2019t getting any love from anybody.\u00a0 And then this out-of-town shooter, this guy comes from Missouri or wherever he is, and kills these three police officers. He\u2019s not from here, either.\u00a0 So, no matter what they do, it\u2019s not gonna tear this town apart.\u00a0 We\u2019re together.\u00a0 And I believe the dominant press has some of the blame for this, that they have blood on their hands.\u00a0 Also for the officers that were killed in Dallas.<\/p>\n

RUSH:\u00a0 Oh, I see what you\u2019re saying now.\u00a0 I see.\u00a0 Okay.<\/p>\n

CALLER:\u00a0 They\u2019ve driven a false narrative.\u00a0 For what?\u00a0 Ever since Ferguson?<\/p>\n

RUSH:\u00a0 Well, what\u2019s the false narrative that you\u2019re referring to?<\/p>\n

CALLER:\u00a0 Well, the false narrative is that the police target and kill black people at random, almost, and it\u2019s a lie.<\/p>\n

RUSH:\u00a0 Well, it certainly is. (sigh) Try… Well, you\u2019re right.\u00a0 The episode in Baton Rouge didn\u2019t have anything to do with anything that happened in Baton Rouge, although they would say Alton Sterling is why they were doing what they were doing.\u00a0 But who\u2019s whipping them into a frenzy is your point.\u00a0 Look, I\u2019ll repeat this again.\u00a0 I guess it takes it.\u00a0 The beginning of a lot of this, some people think it\u2019s Trayvon Martin and George Zimmerman, and you can\u2019t leave that out. But I\u2019m telling you.<\/p>\n

I saw Malik Zulu Shabazz last night with Megyn Kelly on Fox News, and all he wanted to talk about was “hands up, don\u2019t shoot” out of St. Louis, out of Ferguson. That\u2019s all it was.\u00a0 That was the justification for everything they\u2019re doing.\u00a0 A lie.\u00a0 And he was last night trying to make everybody believe that Michael Brown was an innocent guy walking down the street and he was shot in the back — with his hands up — by a cop! Megyn threw all the facts at him. He didn\u2019t care. It does not matter.<\/p>\n

He just accused her of making up stuff and lying about the facts. And then the grand jury? They lied too. Everybody else lied. Everybody knew that that cop went headhunting. So they\u2019re using a lie.\u00a0 My whole point is, what if Obama had gone on television and instead of sustaining the life of that lie had called that out for what it was and what it is? He could have taken the ammunition away, and he didn\u2019t do it.\u00a0 And these incidents keep happening based on that and this frenzy that\u2019s continue to be worked on by Black Lives Matter.<\/p>\n

BREAK TRANSCRIPT<\/p>\n

RUSH: Since I mentioned it I\u2019m gonna play you these sound bites of Malik Zulu Shabazz.\u00a0 Now, this is not the name he was born with.\u00a0 I know what the name he was born with is and I can\u2019t remember.\u00a0 This guy goes way, way back.\u00a0 I mean, he was a youth in New York when I arrived there in 1988.<\/p>\n

He shows up at all the Republican conventions and starts rabble-rousing on racism and the Klan and Newt Gingrich was his old target.\u00a0 But this is just to show you how this utter lie of “hands up, don\u2019t shoot” is still the fuel for all of this destruction that\u2019s happening.\u00a0 It\u2019s sick.<\/p>\n

Paris Lewis.\u00a0 That\u2019s his name.\u00a0 He changed his name to Malik Zulu Shabazz because Shabazz, is that a Malcolm X family name or — I think it is.\u00a0 (interruption) So it\u2019s on Headline News.\u00a0 Let me get it back, what channel is it, 202?\u00a0 Yeah, there we go.\u00a0 So here it is.<\/p>\n

This is last night on The Kelly File.\u00a0 They broke away from what was happening on the convention.\u00a0 It wasn\u2019t the Rudy speech, but they broke away.\u00a0 It might have been Jeff Sessions.\u00a0 Jeff Sessions was giving a stem-winder and Fox broke away to interview Malik Zulu Shabazz, and the first question here has to do with comments that Malik Shabazz made where he said he could understand how some people see the Dallas cop killer as a hero, Micah X. Johnson.<\/p>\n

Oh, yeah, Malik Shabazz, oh, yeah, I can totally understand why the guy is a hero.\u00a0 And the question was, “Well, what facts do you have that Michael Brown was not the aggressor, that Officer Darren Wilson was the aggressor in that episode?”<\/p>\n

SHABAZZ:\u00a0 Because I lived in St. Louis and I talked to some of the witnesses, and I know that in America, unless you have a videotape, then the word of the officers prevails.<\/p>\n

KELLY:\u00a0 Do you understand that at least five black witnesses came forward in that case to say that Michael Brown was the aggressor?<\/p>\n

SHABAZZ:\u00a0 Michael Brown was an unarmed, and Michael Brown was —<\/p>\n

KELLY:\u00a0 He was unarmed until he tried to steal the cop\u2019s gun.<\/p>\n

SHABAZZ:\u00a0 And see, and see, your attitude is part of the problem.\u00a0 Your attitude of blame the victim —<\/p>\n

KELLY:\u00a0 I have no attitude —<\/p>\n

SHABAZZ:\u00a0 No, no —<\/p>\n

KELLY:\u00a0 — other than upheld the truth.<\/p>\n

SHABAZZ:\u00a0 — no, no, no, no.<\/p>\n
