RUSH:\u00a0 Hey.<\/p>\n

CALLER:\u00a0 Rush, I have tried to repeatedly over the past few weeks to contact you and keep getting a busy signal.\u00a0 I\u2019m very grateful that today I got through, and I need to clarify something before I go any further. I\u2019m a dyed-in-the-wool, born-again Christian.\u00a0 And I love the Lord.\u00a0 And I didn\u2019t say that for any other reason than to clarify what follows in the cases.\u00a0 I am sick and tired of the so-called Christians who claim to not be able to vote for Trump because of their conscience.<\/p>\n

<\/a>If they truly looked at their conscience, how many people have they voted for who have been liars, thieves, et cetera?\u00a0 If they were true Bible readers, they would even go back and realize that George W. Bush — who I voted for, by the way — is a one-world government guy. He was a one-world government president.\u00a0 I\u2019m so sick of them, I cannot stand it.\u00a0 I have read Erick Erickson — and if I\u2019ve done this and it\u2019s wrong, I\u2019m sorry. But he is so self-righteous, I can\u2019t handle it.\u00a0 God did not make us self-righteous.\u00a0 He said we needed Him, and they certainly are not showing that, and that\u2019s what I called for.<\/p>\n

RUSH:\u00a0 All right.<\/p>\n

CALLER:\u00a0 If you have any comment, go ahead, and if not, that\u2019s fine.<\/p>\n

RUSH:\u00a0 Yeah.\u00a0 Look, the Never Trumpers comprise all kinds of different beliefs and people, people of different beliefs.\u00a0 And, you know, I know that some of them are honestly held, their beliefs. They\u2019re legitimate and so forth.\u00a0 Others are personal and selfish.\u00a0 When I say “selfish,” I don\u2019t… I mean self-interested.\u00a0 There\u2019s a difference in self-interest and selfish, but here\u2019s what it boils down to for me, and I have been expressly clear on this from the get-go.<\/p>\n

And nothing\u2019s changed — and, in fact, it has even become more important and crucial — and that is, Never Hillary <\/a>is the only thing that matters here to me.\u00a0 I don\u2019t care… We don\u2019t have the ideal choices here.\u00a0 It didn\u2019t work out for a lot of people.\u00a0 But it can\u2019t… We cannot have another four or eight years of this, and that\u2019s what they want.\u00a0 There\u2019s a magic dream that Obama and Hillary have of 16 consecutive years of transforming America and basically wiping it out from its foundational roots, and there is no amount of self-interest for me that would trump that.<\/p>\n

Meaning: If it meant the end of this radio show, if supporting Trump meant the end of this radio show but that meant the end of Hillary, then that\u2019s what I would do.\u00a0 It\u2019s that important to me.\u00a0 And I think that some people look at Trump as a personal threat.\u00a0 Some of them are serious and sincere in their righteousness, as you call it.\u00a0 Other people are thinking, “Oh, my gosh, if this guy wins, this is the end of the Republican Party, and that\u2019s the end of the party establishment!<\/p>\n

“That\u2019s the end of my future. That\u2019s the end of my career path. That\u2019s the end of my chance,” what have you.\u00a0 I\u2019m way beyond that — and, fortunately, I have the freedom to be.\u00a0 But I don\u2019t know how people who have expressed conservative beliefs and have meant them and lived them and are devoted to them, can take any action whatsoever that would make it more likely that Hillary Clinton would be elected.\u00a0 That, to me, is unacceptable.\u00a0 It\u2019s just unacceptable.<\/p>\n

We can\u2019t handle it!\u00a0 We cannot; we shouldn\u2019t want to. We don\u2019t want to even conceive of that.\u00a0 The woman is an outright unmitigated disaster, and so is her party.\u00a0 It scares the ever-living heck out of me to think of four more years of this or eight more years of it.\u00a0 And people who think, “Well, four more years of Hillary? As long as it\u2019s not Trump! We can\u2019t let Trump win this because it\u2019s the end of the party. It\u2019s the end of any serious opposition to the Democrats ever, and if Hillary gets elected, the big thing there will be Trump losing, and Trump must lose so the Republican Party will be viable once again.”<\/p>\n

Well, why did Trump win?\u00a0 How did this happen?\u00a0 It wasn\u2019t any trickery that went on out there.\u00a0 There were all kinds of opportunities for people to vote for any number of other Republicans.\u00a0 Now, you could say, “Well, yeah, but that vote was split in so many different ways.\u00a0 It went 15 different ways, 16 candidates, and Trump.”\u00a0 That may be true.\u00a0 Probably is.\u00a0 But, you know, I also don\u2019t see Trump as the giant negative that a lot of people do.\u00a0 And one of the ways that I look at Trump is I look at his family.\u00a0 I look at his kids.<\/p>\n

I don\u2019t think I\u2019ve ever seen a story of any Trump kid in TMZ or E! Entertainment.\u00a0 I don\u2019t see them in the gossip pages.\u00a0 I don\u2019t see a single story about a Trump kid that\u2019s wandering aimlessly through life drunk and out of control and disorderly and wandering aimlessly here and there.\u00a0 I see nothing but well-raised young adults who are seriously working, who are devoted to their father, and their family is devoted to him.\u00a0 They don\u2019t appear to be spoiled brats.\u00a0 They\u2019re not playboys.\u00a0 They\u2019re not getting on the Trump jet, flying a bunch of women off to who knows wherever.\u00a0 At least we don\u2019t know about it, if they are.\u00a0 They\u2019re not.<\/p>\n

My point, it\u2019s not easy to do that this day and age.\u00a0 I know that his kids have all had to work.\u00a0 They\u2019ve not been handed things.\u00a0 They\u2019ve all had to go to school.\u00a0 But he adores \u2019em, and they obviously adore and respect him.\u00a0 And that\u2019s not easy to do, in this day and age, to not have one renegade kid that\u2019s out there trying to undermine dad.\u00a0 “Well, Rush, wait a minute.”\u00a0 I know what you\u2019re saying.\u00a0 That doesn\u2019t mean Trump\u2019s any great shakes, it doesn\u2019t mean his politics are any good, doesn\u2019t mean his policies — but we\u2019re talking values and culture here, and I do think it matters.\u00a0 It matters to me, anyway.<\/p>\n

But really what it all boils down to is this, folks, there\u2019s no choice here.\u00a0 When Hillary Clinton\u2019s on the ballot, there\u2019s no choice.\u00a0 If the Republican Party wants to reassert itself, if the conservative movement wants to retake the Republican Party, then have at it, while Trump\u2019s in office.\u00a0 Some people think it will be easier to fundraise with Hillary in office.\u00a0 You know, I get hit with this myself, and it burns me up.<\/p>\n

To this day there are people out there in the media who say that I\u2019m lying to you, that I secretly want the Clintons to win all the time \u2019cause the Clintons are who made me, they say. If it hadn\u2019t for the Clintons you wouldn\u2019t even know me because I was able to bounce off the Clintons and I made my bones with the Clintons in office and it is much easier for me to do a show like mine when the opposition\u2019s in power \u2019cause I can show up here and whine and moan and complain every day. As opposed to when my people are in office and all I have to do is support \u2019em and whatever. And they claim that my secret desires are for the Democrats to win all the time.<\/p>\n

And I can\u2019t tell you how that burns me up, because that means that I don\u2019t care about my country and where it\u2019s going.\u00a0 And that means that they think I\u2019m lying to you for 28 years about my thoughts, views, opinions, everything about this country, which I love to death and am scared to death for.\u00a0 I am genuinely scared to death.\u00a0 I\u2019m scared to death when I see what\u2019s happening to young people, to college students.\u00a0 I\u2019m scared to death when I ask myself, are we outnumbered already?<\/p>\n

Earlier in the program, Obama 56% approval number with this crap going on?\u00a0 That scares the heck out of me.\u00a0 What is happening to us?\u00a0 What has happened to our population?\u00a0 And I think I know.\u00a0 And it\u2019s gotta stop, and the people responsible for all of this destruction and decline have got to be called out, and they\u2019ve got to be held responsible and held accountable.\u00a0 The American people have to be informed about it, which is an ongoing effort and some say a losing proposition.<\/p>\n

But as long as I have breath, that is going to be my message.\u00a0 I have no desire, if it meant the end of my program, if Hillary Clinton losing meant the end of this program, then that\u2019s what I would be for. If that\u2019s what it took to save this country, meaning she loses and that means my radio show goes away, then that\u2019s what I would do.\u00a0 I have no self-interest in this whatsoever.\u00a0 I\u2019m not looking forward to Hillary Clinton being in the White House so I can seek greater advertising revenue.\u00a0 I don\u2019t have a problem with that as it is.<\/p>\n

I don\u2019t need Democrats in office to be successful.\u00a0 My success has not been determined by who wins elections, and it never has been.\u00a0 Trump is who we have, Hillary Clinton is who we have and we don\u2019t want, and I don\u2019t think there\u2019s any comparison in the two. In what would be the worst for this country, Hillary or Trump, it\u2019s not even close for me, but there are other people who obviously think Trump would be far worse than Hillary.\u00a0 I don\u2019t see it. I don\u2019t think it\u2019s even close.<\/p>\n

I think she and the Democrat Party are the equivalent of a giant wrecking ball that is intentionally being aimed at institution after institution every day, and they\u2019re making contact, and they\u2019re crumbling things that used to be strong that people could believe in, and it\u2019s gotta stop, politically.<\/p>\n

BREAK TRANSCRIPT<\/p>\n

RUSH: Look, I know a lot of people do a lot of things for what they consider to be principled reasons, ladies and gentlemen.\u00a0 That\u2019s fine and dandy.\u00a0 My principle here is Never Hillary.\u00a0 By the way, our Never Hillary bumper stickers, they have been so overwhelmingly popular, we have now printed up a bunch of Never Hillary T-shirts in blue that replicate the bumper sticker at the EIB Store at RushLimbaugh.com.\u00a0 They\u2019re available today.\u00a0 These are T-shirts, blue T-shirts, Never Hillary<\/a>.<\/p>\n

<\/a>But for me, it\u2019s not even.\u00a0 And don\u2019t forget, I know Donald Trump and he\u2019s not a reprobate.\u00a0 He\u2019s nothing close to people I genuinely fear, genuinely oppose.\u00a0 My support of the guy is not personal, it\u2019s not biased because it\u2019s personal.\u00a0 I don\u2019t know him that well.\u00a0 We\u2019re not buddies.\u00a0 I\u2019ve played golf with him a few times.\u00a0 He\u2019s funny, just like you see him here.\u00a0 But he doesn\u2019t threaten me at all.\u00a0 He doesn\u2019t threaten my belief system.\u00a0 He doesn\u2019t threaten my core principles at all.<\/p>\n

I can talk to him, I can change his minds about some things, but I know that would never happen with Mrs. Clinton.\u00a0 Wouldn\u2019t even want to try.\u00a0 It\u2019s not even close.\u00a0 It\u2019s instant disaster to do anything that gets that woman in the White House.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
