And I think that regardless of what\u2019s been agreed to, if Donald Trump would get up there and say these three things, I think that he\u2019d have a lot more to gain than to lose.\u00a0 If he said, &#8220;You know, gay marriage? We\u2019re gonna leave it alone, folks. We\u2019re gonna leave it alone. It\u2019s not even critical to our national security or our economy or the &#8211;&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>RUSH:\u00a0 Don\u2019t worry.\u00a0 He doesn\u2019t care about it.<\/p>\n<p>CALLER:\u00a0 When it comes to abortion rights, I think he ought to say, &#8220;We\u2019re gonna focus on late-term abortions,&#8221; and when it comes to the free college, I think his answer ought to be, &#8220;You know what? It makes great sense when it comes to spending for science and technology, because that\u2019s what our nation needs,&#8221; and that\u2019s what his presidency should be all about: What our nation needs. Make us great again.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Well, why do you&#8230;?<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: So, I think he should &#8212;<\/p>\n<p>RUSH:\u00a0 The Democrats do all that.\u00a0 Why do you want the Republican convention to do that?\u00a0 I mean, you may as well watch the Democrat convention if that\u2019s what you want to hear.<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: (silence)<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Did she vamanos?\u00a0 Did she go out?<\/p>\n<p>CALLER:\u00a0 The body of people, we\u2019re so diverse.\u00a0 We don\u2019t all agree on what the narrative\u2019s been, and the narrative has been an absolute loser.\u00a0 It\u2019s not gonna change.\u00a0 The results will be the same thing if he doesn\u2019t change, and I think he ought to speak to more than conservatives.<\/p>\n<p><img id=\"eZObject_124841\" class=\"img_middle\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/RushSocial-Issues.jpg\" align=\"middle\" \/>RUSH:\u00a0 The things that you just cited are not why we\u2019re losing.\u00a0 You think they are because you\u2019re buying hook, line, and sinker the usual criticism of the Republican Party from the establishment types and the moderate Republicans who also want to join the Democrats in amnesty, who don\u2019t want to criticize Obama in any way, shape, manner, or form \u2019cause don\u2019t want to be called racists.\u00a0 We\u2019re not losing elections because we\u2019re pro-life, contrary to what everybody thinks.<\/p>\n<p>We\u2019re losing elections because we don\u2019t oppose the Democrats.\u00a0 We\u2019re losing elections because we do not have the courage to stand up for what we actually believe in.\u00a0 We\u2019re a totally defensive party, and I hate to say it, but your recipe is not proactive. It\u2019s not aggressive at all.\u00a0 But gay marriage? Trump doesn\u2019t care.\u00a0 He\u2019s not gonna talk about it.\u00a0 He\u2019s got 73% support of the evangelicals right now.\u00a0 He wants to grow that.\u00a0 But he\u2019s not&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>The Republican Party is not gonna cave on abortion and if Republican Party starts giving away college tuition, they may as well just disband.\u00a0 I mean, that\u2019s&#8230; Hillary\u2019s gonna do that.\u00a0 Hillary\u2019s already making plans!
