{"id":213922,"date":"2016-07-06T19:25:57","date_gmt":"2016-07-06T23:25:57","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/172.24.32.11\/daily\/2016\/07\/06\/so_we_re_afraid_of_joe_biden_\/"},"modified":"2017-07-10T11:12:37","modified_gmt":"2017-07-10T15:12:37","slug":"so_we_re_afraid_of_joe_biden_","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/admin.rushlimbaugh.com\/daily\/2016\/07\/06\/so_we_re_afraid_of_joe_biden_\/","title":{"rendered":"So We\u2019re Afraid of Joe Biden?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/live-rush-limbaugh.pantheonsite.io\/videos\/37\/72149\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><img class=\"alignright\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/listentoit.jpg\" alt=\"Listen to it Button\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<section>RUSH:\u00a0 Here we go to the phones.\u00a0 Savannah, Georgia.\u00a0 This is Ed, and I appreciate your patience, Ed.\u00a0 I really do.\u00a0 How are you, sir?<\/p>\n<p>CALLER:\u00a0 Just fine.\u00a0 Thanks for taking my call.\u00a0 I really appreciate it.\u00a0 I\u2019ve been listening for 27 years, and this is my first time to call.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH:\u00a0 I\u2019m glad you got through.<\/p>\n<p><img id=\"eZObject_124537\" class=\"img_middle\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/BidenBoo.jpg\" align=\"middle\" \/>CALLER:\u00a0 I\u2019m one of those guys that thinks that Comey handed the Republicans a big gift by not recommending indictment of Hillary.\u00a0 The reason I think this is that if he had indicted her, then Biden would end up getting the nomination, and, hell, even I like Biden to some extent.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH:\u00a0 No.\u00a0 No, ho-ho-ho-ho-ho.<\/p>\n<p>CALLER:\u00a0 I don\u2019t like him a lot.\u00a0 I\u2019m just saying that versus Hillary and the likability question, he\u2019s way ahead of Hillary and maybe ahead of Trump.\u00a0 Now, I\u2019m a Trumpster from day one, but had Hillary been indicted, she would have &#8212; I mean, she\u2019s not going to jail.\u00a0 She\u2019s gonna get an automatic pardon.\u00a0 But this way, by not indicting her, he does wax on, wax off, leg sweeps her, and then throws her back out in the ring, and she\u2019s very damaged.\u00a0 And I think the way that I look at it is, if Trump can\u2019t beat her this damaged, then he was never gonna beat her at all.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH:\u00a0 Okay, look, I see the way you\u2019re thinking about this.\u00a0 But, A, if she was indicted, she\u2019s not going anywhere.\u00a0 The Democrats would circle the wagons, accuse Comey of being part of a vast right-wing conspiracy, link him to John Ashcroft, name him a Republican, politicize it.\u00a0 She would have the Democrat Party rally around her in total unified support.\u00a0 She would know full well that Barack Obama would pardon her even before the election if necessary. Not a thing would happen to her if she\u2019d been indicted other than the legal system would have worked, as it should.<\/p>\n<p>BREAK TRANSCRIPT<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Yeah, yeah, yeah, I know Comey &#8212; look, look.\u00a0 One of the things, you know, a guy, a previous caller, Ed from Savannah, he said, &#8220;Do you think Comey has given everybody a great gift here \u2019cause otherwise it would be Biden. You get rid of Hillary and you put Biden in there, and it would be a prop.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Why is everybody so afraid of Biden?\u00a0 When did that begin creeping up on us?\u00a0 When did everybody start &#8212; is it his loyalty to Obama?\u00a0 (interruption) Who thinks he\u2019s squeaky clean?\u00a0 Squeaky clean about what?\u00a0 Oh, he\u2019s not corrupt like Hillary.\u00a0 I think it\u2019s something else.\u00a0 I think the reason they fear Biden is because they think he\u2019s got this magic way of conveying compassion and big-hearted concern to people.<\/p>\n<p>But Biden\u2019s never won diddly-squat.\u00a0 Within Democrat primaries he\u2019s never gotten out of the first stage, if you want to put it that way.\u00a0 He can\u2019t even give a speech without plagiarizing somebody or putting his foot in his mouth. (Biden impression) &#8220;Stand up, Chuck.\u00a0 Let \u2019em see you in your wheelchair there, Chuck.\u00a0 Hey, oh, my God.\u00a0 Oh, God bless you, Chuck.\u00a0 Let\u2019s everybody stand up for Chuck, since Chuck can\u2019t stand up and I\u2019m an idiot.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>I think the reason they put all this on Comey, because this is &#8212; (interruption) No, I\u2019m talking about the bribery.\u00a0 When Hillary in that New York Times story lets it be known in a direct quote that she thinks Loretta Lynch is doing such a great job that she\u2019s thinking of keeping her on as attorney general, she obviously knows Lynch likes the job.\u00a0 She obviously knows Lynch would love to stay in the job, so she\u2019s bribing her.<\/p>\n<p><img id=\"eZObject_124545\" class=\"img_right\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/Lynch2_large.jpg\" align=\"right\" \/>That puts the onus on Comey.\u00a0 What do you think Lynch stepping out of this did?\u00a0 Folks, Lynch stepping out this, when Lynch said after the Clinton meeting (paraphrasing), &#8220;You know what, to avoid the appearance of impropriety, I am backing out.\u00a0 I will accept whatever recommendation we get from the FBI and from the career prosecutors.&#8221;\u00a0 And everybody said, &#8220;Wow, what a great lady.\u00a0 She understands the appearance of impropriety, she\u2019s pulling out.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>What\u2019d that do?\u00a0 That put the onus fully on James Comey.\u00a0 They put it all on Comey and he must have known that would be the blowback.\u00a0 And I can imagine Comey would probably, like the rest of us, he knows who these people are.\u00a0 And he knows what they could do in terms of making his life miserable.\u00a0 We hear Comey is supposed to be a straight shooter.\u00a0 But he\u2019s only human, folks.\u00a0 He\u2019s under the same pressure or even more than John Roberts was under up there at the Supreme Court.\u00a0 And who knows what kind of pressure that we don\u2019t know about was brought to bear on the chief justice.<\/p>\n<p>Look what the Drive-By Media and history have done to people that they hate for having made a decision that hurt their side.\u00a0 These people are fully aware of their fate.\u00a0 The left would smear Comey.\u00a0 It\u2019s exactly what would happen.\u00a0 If Hillary had been indicted, I guarantee you James Comey would cease being a man of integrity at that instant.\u00a0 He would become a partisan Republican attack dog, probably accepting his orders from me or who knows who, and they would ratchet up this vast right-wing conspiracy business just like they did back in the nineties on the Lewinsky case, where Hillary said: There\u2019s a vast right-wing conspiracy out to get my husband at every turn.<\/p>\n<p>They would make Comey the Mister Bigg, and they would launch into attacks, and they would accuse him of being the most partisan and therefore the most untrustworthy FBI director since J. Edgar Hoover.\u00a0 And they would do this for the rest of time.\u00a0 They would do it for the rest of Comey\u2019s life.\u00a0 You know darn well.\u00a0 But the point is, so what if we get Biden?\u00a0 So what?\u00a0 I don\u2019t understand why this fear of Biden all of.\u00a0 But we wouldn\u2019t get Biden, is the bottom line.\u00a0 That\u2019s not what would happen.\u00a0 It\u2019s all moot anyway, but since we had the conversation start, just let me repeat again.<\/p>\n<p>If there had been an indictment or a recommendation &#8212; that doesn\u2019t mean, if Comey had recommended, doesn\u2019t mean Lynch would have done it, no matter what she said.\u00a0 They would have to take it under advisement, study it, who knows what.\u00a0 But let\u2019s say that they had decided to prosecute.\u00a0 There was no way that was gonna happen, just no way.<\/p>\n<p>Obama couldn\u2019t permit it.\u00a0 He\u2019s already been out there for months saying she didn\u2019t do anything wrong.\u00a0 But for entertainment\u2019s stake, if they had decided to indict, he would pardon her at some point.\u00a0 She would never face trial.\u00a0 It would never, ever happen.\u00a0 The Democrats would circle the wagons around her, and it would not give us Biden.\u00a0 That\u2019s my theory, and I\u2019m sticking with it.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>RUSH:\u00a0 Here we go to the phones.\u00a0 Savannah, Georgia.\u00a0 This is Ed, and I appreciate your patience, Ed.\u00a0 I really do.\u00a0 How are you, sir?
