RUSH: So Barack Hussein O said in Japan this morning that Trump rattles foreign leaders.\u00a0 You know why Trump rattles foreign leaders?\u00a0 Obama says it\u2019s because they\u2019re afraid Trump\u2019s policies might not be thought through.<\/p>\n

Now, can anyone come up with a single policy of Obama\u2019s, foreign policy specifically here, that seems to have been thought through?\u00a0 The Arab Spring, what we did in Egypt getting rid of Mubarak, putting in the Muslim Brotherhood, which didn\u2019t last, the Arab Spring that sprung from it.\u00a0 And then we go and we oust Khadafy from Libya.\u00a0 Hillary out there taking credit for that.<\/p>\n

We basically set the Middle East on fire.\u00a0 We have a president who has eagerly and publicly abandoned and subverted the Constitution to permit unimpeded, illegal immigration.\u00a0 I take it back.\u00a0 That was thought through.\u00a0 Yes, yes, yes, yes.\u00a0 In fact, you know, you could argue that all of these things Obama\u2019s done have been thought through.<\/p>\n

The Iran deal, the Iran nuclear deal was thought through.\u00a0 We actually did want the Iranians to come up with nuclear weapons.\u00a0 Who are we to tell them they can\u2019t have nuclear weapons?\u00a0 All these presidents in the past telling Iran no way, Jose, so who are we?\u00a0 So Obama\u2019s fixed it, Iran can have nukes.<\/p>\n

So in one sense you could argue that every freaking Obama policy has been thought through.\u00a0 And what\u2019s it gotten us?\u00a0 Well thought out, thought through foreign policy, domestic policy\u2019s created havoc.\u00a0 But let\u2019s change the perspective.\u00a0 Let\u2019s give Obama the benefit of the doubt for this.\u00a0 Let\u2019s say that he came up with all these ideas, really thought it would make America better, really thought it would improve life in America.<\/p>\n

How could anybody say that those policies were thought through?\u00a0 Because none of that happened.\u00a0 You look at Obama\u2019s policies, foreign or domestic, I don\u2019t know where you see the benefit to the US.\u00a0 Trend that, Facebook.\u00a0 I don\u2019t know where you see the benefit.\u00a0 Not even gay marriage.\u00a0 He wasn\u2019t even originally on board for gay marriage, and neither was Hillary. \u00a0So you can\u2019t even let him have that.<\/p>\n

But, I mean, if you think some Americans have been satisfied or pleased, but what would you pick, what policy, what achievement of Obama\u2019s would you point to that has made America a better place, that\u2019s made America stronger?\u00a0 What Obama policy would you point to that has the American people cheering and feeling good about their country?\u00a0 Can you name one?\u00a0 There may be, I\u2019m forgetting.\u00a0 Can you name one?<\/p>\n

In fact, isn\u2019t the mind-set of the left such that, when Obama accomplishes things, if it makes conservatives and Republicans mad, that\u2019s what makes it a success?\u00a0 And if it punishes America and punishes certain Americans, isn\u2019t that what makes the left happy?\u00a0 Isn\u2019t that what they consider to be a success, things that cut America down to size, things that punish America, things that rein America in from our excessive superpower ways, things that cut America down to size, things that punish individual American achievers.\u00a0 Those are the things Obama does that his supporters applaud.<\/p>\n

But I doubt that anybody could say that Obama\u2019s achievements have made American great. (interruption) Oh, come on.\u00a0 Who in the world, who in their right mind, the Cuban embargo hasn\u2019t been lifted, number one.\u00a0 Who in their right mind would say that Obama\u2019s open-door policy with Cuba has in any way enhanced America?\u00a0 Oh, screw them.\u00a0 They\u2019re not journalists.\u00a0 They\u2019re Democrat hacks disguised as journalists.\u00a0 They\u2019re Democrat operatives.<\/p>\n

I\u2019m being serious about this.\u00a0 You can\u2019t honestly throw Cuba in there as something that — American people are not cheering that.\u00a0 Now, if Obama would have thrown cigars in the deal it might have gotten some cheers.\u00a0 But it isn\u2019t gonna happen.\u00a0 I\u2019m being facetious.\u00a0 Point is — I\u2019m serious.\u00a0 How many people cheered health care versus how many are still cheering it.\u00a0 There may have been some who thought it was free, thought it was gonna be panacea.\u00a0 My point is there\u2019s Obama out there saying all these world leaders are very, very worried, they\u2019re very, very rattled over Trump\u2019s policies, don\u2019t seem to be well thought through.<\/p>\n

Well, where the hell are we with Obama anyway?\u00a0 Who\u2019s out there celebrating?\u00a0 What in the world has happened to improve America\u2019s lot, America\u2019s position in the world?\u00a0 Are we now less involved?\u00a0 Are we now more vulnerable?\u00a0 You can go through the list if you wanted to.\u00a0 But, on the contrary, I actually think that it\u2019s about time foreign leaders are a little rattled and maybe a little unsure what we might do, because I guarantee you under Obama and the United Nations we are seen as a blank check.<\/p>\n

We are seen as led by a guy who believes in America\u2019s guilt and responsibility and a willingness to pay for it.\u00a0 We\u2019re a blank check.\u00a0 And, if we\u2019re not a blank check, we are a robbery victim.\u00a0 We are rest of the world that feels like their lot in life is because of us, we owe them, and we\u2019ve got a president who happens to agree in many ways with that line of thinking.<\/p>\n

Now, Mrs. Clinton, let\u2019s talk about her policies and whether or not world leaders might be rattled, because I would think that the prospect of a Hillary presidency would rattle world leaders even more.\u00a0 I mean, they\u2019ve seen her in action.\u00a0 They\u2019ve seen what an unmitigated disaster — actually, take it back.\u00a0 What am I saying?\u00a0 They\u2019ve already bought her.\u00a0 I\u2019m sorry.\u00a0 They don\u2019t care whether she\u2019s a rattled —\u00a0 They\u2019ve bought her presidency, hundred million.\u00a0 Yeah, and if they haven\u2019t yet bought her presidency, they know they can, they know it\u2019s gonna be for sale.<\/p>\n

This stuff at the State Department is even worse.\u00a0 You know, yesterday I made a point on this program, the State Department inspector general was running around saying she broke the rules.\u00a0 She didn\u2019t break the rules; she broke the law.\u00a0 From where are these rules about emails and servers and public records and all this, where do those rules come from?\u00a0 Those rules come from the law.<\/p>\n

They were trying to sugarcoat this and soften the blow by saying, “Well, Colin Powell, he did the same stuff, and Condoleezza Rice, she had her own server, too.”\u00a0 Yeah, but they\u2019re not running for president right now, and they — break the rules was also supposed to soften the blow.\u00a0 She didn\u2019t break the rules.\u00a0 She violated the law.\u00a0 That\u2019s where the rules come from.\u00a0 I pointed this out yesterday.\u00a0 Now Huma Abedin, I\u2019m sorry, Huma Danger and a lot of these people refused to testify, and that\u2019s only to be interpreted one way as taking the Fifth Amendment.<\/p>\n

BREAK TRANSCRIPT<\/p>\n

RUSH: This is Obama.\u00a0 I want to actually have you hear this.\u00a0 This was in Shima, Japan, the G7 meeting over there.\u00a0 Obama with a recurring, the Q&A with a reporter. “You\u2019ve said before, Mr. Obama, when you talk to world leaders they often ask you about the presidential election.\u00a0 Can you give us a sense of conversations that you\u2019ve had so far — what they\u2019re saying to you, these world leaders; what you\u2019re saying to them? Particularly now that Trump\u2019s the nominee. He recently said that Japan should pay for US troop presence there?”<\/p>\n

OBAMA:\u00a0 They are not sure how seriously to take some of his pronouncements, but they\u2019re rattled by him, and for good reason. Because a lot of the proposals that he\u2019s made display either ignorance of world affairs or a cavalier attitude or an interest in getting tweets and headlines instead of actually thinking through what it is that is required to keep America safe and secure and prosperous, and what\u2019s required to keep the world on an even keel.<\/p>\n

RUSH:\u00a0 “Keep America safe, secure, and prosperous”? Is that how we would describe ourselves today?\u00a0 Look at the lines at the airports, TSA.\u00a0 Prosperous?\u00a0 There are 94 or 95 million Americans not working! Practically every new job created is a part-time job.\u00a0 The state of health care is in ruins in this country.\u00a0 We have people buying guns at a rate approaching a record, and it\u2019s not because they\u2019re feeling safe.\u00a0 The last thing Americans are feeling safe, otherwise they wouldn\u2019t be out buying guns to the tune that they are.<\/p>\n

Here comes this arrogance and this condescension Obama from the standpoint, “Oh, yeah, I\u2019m of the faculty lounge! I\u2019m an Ivy Leaguer. I\u2019m smarter than the other people.\u00a0 I understand all these things.\u00a0 I\u2019m a policy expert, and I speak in ways that make people think that I\u2019m intelligent and deeply, deal educated and intellectual, and therefore people trust what I\u2019m doing.\u00a0 I\u2019m able to hide my abject incompetence with my vocabulary and so forth.”<\/p>\n

So the appearance, the perception of intelligence is there. But when you look at the actual policies that have been implemented? I mean, the national debt has practically doubled.\u00a0 More Millennials are living at home than ever before<\/a>.\u00a0 I had a story in the Stack on that yesterday.\u00a0 You know what the two reasons are?\u00a0 There\u2019s two primary reasons. (interruption) Well, money is one, but the money manifests as no jobs.\u00a0 The jobs that are out there are not enough to either rent or own on your own.\u00a0 Second reason…<\/p>\n

This is, by the way, the result of in-depth research.\u00a0 These are not just experts guessing at the phenomena.\u00a0 People aren\u2019t getting married nearly as young and in nearly the frequency as in the past.\u00a0 So there is no reason for young people to have their own homestead. (interruption) \u00a0I\u2019m just telling you what it said.\u00a0 You can argue with it or think it\u2019s good or bad; I don\u2019t care.\u00a0 I\u2019m just telling you what the experts are saying is why the phenomenon exists. (interruption) Well, that\u2019s the point. Since they\u2019re not getting married, they don\u2019t need the privacy.<\/p>\n

It says they\u2019re not getting married.<\/p>\n

You\u2019re thinking, “How do you bring the girlfriend home and do the nasty with mom and dad upstairs?” Mom and dad know what\u2019s going on downstairs.\u00a0 They leave \u2019em alone!\u00a0 I mean, you\u2019re talking about a 30-year-old “kid” down there.\u00a0 We\u2019re not talking about a 12-year-old or 15-year-old junior high school student down there.\u00a0 Mom and dad know what\u2019s going on when 30-year-old Ricky Jr. brings home Annabelle for the night.\u00a0 Mom and dad know what\u2019s going on.\u00a0 In fact, mom and dad… (interruption) Well, the guy is gonna have his privacy, Mr. Snerdley.\u00a0 Unless mom and dad don\u2019t like Annabelle, and then the dynamic there.<\/p>\n

But if you\u2019re not getting married, you don\u2019t need your own place.<\/p>\n

I\u2019m just telling you what the research said.\u00a0 I think it makes sense.\u00a0 But the point is record numbers of children either having never moved out or after college went back home, have never had their own places, up to age 35 now. You said money, no question, economic factors are huge in this.\u00a0 Economic factors have to be huge.\u00a0 My only point is, where is all this prosperity that Obama brags about?\u00a0 Where is all this security that Obama brags about?\u00a0 I think people are more nervous, edgy, frightened, insecure, scared, even people that have jobs, even people who have savings accounts are worried it\u2019s gonna vanish or they\u2019re worried they\u2019re gonna lose their jobs.\u00a0 That seems to be where everything\u2019s trending.<\/p>\n

And then you add, you know, every day you see a story like this.\u00a0 “McDonald\u2019s Has Investigated Robots to Replace Hamburger Flippers.”<\/a> \u00a0You know why?\u00a0 Minimum wage.\u00a0 Exactly right.\u00a0 When the owners, the franchisees are looking at $15 an hour, they say, “I can\u2019t stay open and pay people that.\u00a0 I just can\u2019t.” The initial investment in a robot might be six figures, so they\u2019ll finance that, but the robot never gets sick. The robot never calls in sick. The robot never needs a day off. The robot\u2019s dog never needs to go to the vet. The robot is just there.<\/p>\n

Now, I\u2019m telling you, there are people, young people who read and they see these stories and the effect may be subliminal, but it is there, that innovations are occurring out there that are replacing human beings in the workplace.\u00a0 McDonald\u2019s is one.\u00a0 Robotics in automobile manufacturing is not new.\u00a0 My only point in mentioning all these things, Obama brags about how secure things are, how prosperous we are because of his policies, and I\u2019m telling you, nobody\u2019s feeling it.\u00a0 Or very few.\u00a0 The presidential campaign wouldn\u2019t be what it is.<\/p>\n

And Hillary Clinton, if things were that rosy, Hillary Clinton would be out there doing one thing:\u00a0 Promising to do nothing but more of what\u2019s happening.\u00a0 And she\u2019s not doing that, is she?\u00a0 Hillary Clinton\u2019s running around basically conveying that she knows things are a mess and she\u2019s gotta fix \u2019em.\u00a0 She\u2019s gotta be very careful when she talks about things like the economy because the economy is a voting issue, and she can\u2019t give up the ghost that the Obama economy is rotten. But everything else she\u2019s out there, and she even nibbles at that around the edges.<\/p>\n

but if everything were hunky-dory, if things were happy-go-lucky, and everybody was feeling jazzed and excited about the future, Hillary Clinton would be running as Barack Obama III.\u00a0 And she\u2019s not.\u00a0 And this presidential campaign wouldn\u2019t have the character it has at all if things were occurring on top of a foundation of happiness and good vibes.\u00a0 They clearly are not.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
