\"Listen<\/a><\/p>\n

RUSH: Yeah, there was another riot at a Trump rally in New Mexico last night. The Drive-Bys are trying to portray it as a protest, but it was the usual leftist suspects rioting, and it didn\u2019t affect Trump. I mean, they got inside. Trump dealt with them the way he deals with all of these protesters. He was unfazed. He was not impeded at all in getting his message out.<\/p>\n

And Mrs. Clinton. Mrs. Clinton has decided to pick up Elizabeth Warren as a surrogate. You know something, folks? We have the sound bites coming up here. Elizabeth Warren went out there and attacked Trump for Hillary. And just here putting my objective analyst hat on, it was good, particularly when compared to Hillary. I think the more they have Elizabeth Warren out there, the more buyer\u2019s remorse there\u2019s gonna be on the Democrat side that she\u2019s not the nominee, or that Crazy Bernie\u2019s not the nominee.<\/p>\n

Don\u2019t misunderstand. I\u2019m not suggesting that Elizabeth Warren is right or anything. It\u2019s just that she sounded much more genuine and much more real and, actually, I think, had more credibility. As I put myself in the shoes of a liberal watching this, Hillary\u2019s asleep compared to Elizabeth Warren or Bernie Sanders. She\u2019s going through the motions of it. She\u2019s sleepwalking. You know, Hillary is in one of these defensive modes where you don\u2019t want to say the wrong thing, so you shut up. Plus Hillary knows the more she talks, the worse her numbers get. The more she shows up, the worse her numbers get. The less we hear from her, the better her numbers get. That\u2019s demonstrably true.<\/p>\n

But, nevertheless, Trump was unfazed. He said (paraphrasing), “Hey, did you see they sent Pocahontas out to attack me.” Can you see Paul Ryan doing that? Can you see Mitt Romney doing that? Can you see George W. Bush or Jeb Bush, (imitating Trump) “Hey, they sent Pocahontas out to attack me. Yeah, Pocahontas. You know why they call her that, \u2019cause she\u2019s an Indian. She wanted to get special treatment at Harvard so she said she had the high cheekbones of an Indian, so we call her Pocahontas, Fauxcahontas.”<\/p>\n

I mean, he\u2019s just unfazed. Whatever they hit him with, Trump\u2019s philosophy: If I\u2019m wounded, or, if I think I\u2019m wounded, I\u2019m gonna fix the wound. I\u2019m gonna unwound myself. And these people, remember where the Dems and the media come from on this. Everybody is subject to their training. Everybody becomes a prisoner to their conditioning. And, on the Democrat side, one of the things, whether they know it or not, that they have become conditioned to, is Republican incompetence and ineptitude in replying to allegations and charges. They are used to getting away with it. They are used to the media standing by them.<\/p>\n

So your average Democrat candidate, like Dingy Harry, can go out and accuse Romney of not having paid taxes because some invisible friend told him. And the media says, “What is your proof?”<\/p>\n

(imitating Reid) “I don\u2019t need proof. You need to go ask Romney, why hasn\u2019t he paid his taxes?” And they dutifully marched off and began to ask Romney why he hadn\u2019t paid his taxes. Same thing with Romney and the War on Women. Romney\u2019s in the middle of a debate, doesn\u2019t know what\u2019s going on, George Stephanopoulos asked him about contraception. “What?”<\/p>\n

“Yeah, what do you think about contraception?”<\/p>\n

“Blah, blah, blah, blah, no George,” bam, answer, War on Women was born. So the Democrats, my contention, my theory, the Democrats and liberals get used to being able to get away with this stuff. They can\u2019t help it. It\u2019s part of their conditioning. They level an allegation at the Republicans, the media pick it up and amplify it, and the Republicans stumble around, trying to figure out how to reply to it, usually turning to us on talk radio to limit the damage. But they don\u2019t know what to do themselves so they just sit around, they ignore it.<\/p>\n

Well, that doesn\u2019t happen now. They launch their salvos like they have become conditioned to getting away with. So Hillary sets out and starts insulting Trump about how he profiteered during the housing crisis. And Hillary and her buddies, I\u2019m sure, think that that\u2019s gonna be the end of it. They\u2019re gonna launch this devastating attack on Trump and the media is gonna amplify and back up that attack on Trump, and Trump, the Republicans, are not gonna know what to do about it, and even if they do reply, the media\u2019s not gonna cover it, so they\u2019ll get away with shaping the narrative.<\/p>\n

But Trump does reply. And the media does carry what he says, against their own instincts. They don\u2019t want to, but they do. They cover Trump 24\/7. They don\u2019t want to, they don\u2019t like to, but they do it.<\/p>\n

And so Elizabeth Warren had all of this stuff thrown right back at her, and Hillary is having this stuff thrown right back at her. They are not accustomed to it. They do not have the experience or the conditioning of the third reply. They get away with the initial charge and the subsequent Republican silence and embarrassment, and Republican prayers that nobody will hear it and it\u2019ll all go away. Trump hears it, replies, throws the ball back in the Democrat court — in this case, Hillary or Elizabeth Warren — and they don\u2019t have a lot of experience dealing with the third reply.<\/p>\n

Now, they\u2019ll get with it, but everybody\u2019s a product of their conditioning, and this is gonna come back to harm the Democrats because their conditioning for years — for decades — is they get away with this stuff. For example, they can go around and they can talk about Romney back in prep school giving a guy an underwear noogie. How many years ago was that? Forty? They can go back and they can talk about Romney putting the family dog on the top of the station wagon, and it\u2019s covered! It\u2019s gone and researched, and long stories about Romney\u2019s history in prep school and the fact that he was a little rich kid and how he got away with all this.<\/p>\n

Reams and reams of stories.<\/p>\n

And yet when somebody wants to talk about the Bill Clinton nineties, the CNN hosts circle the wagons; shut the guests down. “We\u2019re not going there! It\u2019s old news. It\u2019s tawdry. We\u2019ll not relive it.” Why not? Why don\u2019t you want…? There\u2019s no limit in what a Republican\u2019s past you will go back and investigate and report, but why when it comes to Bill Clinton you will? And it happened four or five times yesterday on CNN alone, where CNN hosts and hostettes attempted to shut down any reference whatsoever to Bill Clinton and the nineties. It isn\u2019t gonna fly.<\/p>\n

BREAK TRANSCRIPTRUSH: Let\u2019s get into this whole Hillary using Elizabeth Warren and Trump reacting to it bit. This is Hillary\u2019s latest ad for a campaign website. The new ad says that Trump rooted for the real estate crash, and it uses 2006 audio of Trump where he talks about making money off a housing collapse.<\/p>\n

TRUMP: I sort of hope that happens because then people like me would go in and buy. If there is a bubble burst, as they call it, you know, you could make a lot of money.<\/p>\n

RUSH: From beginning to end, it\u2019s totally true. From beginning to end, it is a businessman describing how he is going to take advantage of things that occur in the natural business cycle. There are bubbles; bubbles burst. There are housing bubbles. There are tech bubbles. There are any number of bubbles, real estate, you name it.<\/p>\n

There are highs; there are lows. People that invest always want to buy at what they think is the lowest price, and that means they wait \u2019til something crashes, they wait \u2019til something bursts, and then they move in. And Trump is simply talking about it here.<\/p>\n

Now, to a liberal, “Well, no, none of that is fair. There should never be a burst. There shouldn\u2019t be any low. There shouldn\u2019t be any high. There shouldn\u2019t any competition. There shouldn\u2019t be any pain. There shouldn\u2019t be any suffering. There shouldn\u2019t be any exultation. There shouldn\u2019t be any happiness. That market should just be steady as rock so people could depend on it and nobody would ever get hurt.” That\u2019s the way they look at it, and everybody knows how markets fluctuate, taking advantage of them obviously is a heel, obviously is a mean reprobate. And so, after playing that audio from Trump in 2006, Hillary Clinton then says this.<\/p>\n

HILLARY: He actually said he was hoping for the crash that caused hardworking families in California and across America to lose their homes, all because he thought he could take advantage of it to make some money for himself.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Yeah, Trump said, “I sorta hope that happens \u2019cause then people like me would go in and buy. If there\u2019s a bubble burst, as they call it, hey.” Folks, welcome to the real world. I can remember, I was in Kansas City, and it was the early 1980s. Ronaldus Magnus had just been inaugurated and we are in a horrible recession that had its roots in the late seventies, the Jimmy Carter administration.<\/p>\n

It was bad. It was bad. I was working for the Kansas City Royals at the time. I wasn\u2019t making any money whatsoever. It was bad. And I can remember having conversations with people who said, “You know what? Instead of trying to stop this, let it happen, just let the plunge happen and let\u2019s just start from rock bottom and rebuild everything,” which is essentially what happened.<\/p>\n

All kinds of people got hurt. The fact that there are people out there like Trump and investors and so forth, is nothing new. But people don\u2019t get hurt because of Donald Trump. The bottom line is people get hurt because of people like Hillary Clinton. People get hurt because of economic policies related to people like Barack Obama and Bill Clinton and Hillary Clinton and Elizabeth Warren. People are harmed by liberalism demonstrably and provably each and every day, each and every year. The evidence of the last seven and a half years of this Regime alone is mountainous.<\/p>\n

Liberalism hurts. Liberalism causes suffering, all the while promising to alleviate it, all the while promising to end it. Liberalism spreads misery equally, or tries to. Liberalism doesn\u2019t seem to elevate anybody. Have you ever seen it do that? Liberalism punishes people at the top. Liberalism punishes achievers. Liberalism stigmatizes people who achieve, either in the classroom, in the business world, the athletic field of play, whatever, they are stigmatized. It\u2019s unfair. They need to pay a penalty for it, or they need to be penalized in some way, \u2019cause it isn\u2019t fair.<\/p>\n

Liberalism doesn\u2019t raise anything. Liberalism doesn\u2019t lift, by definition, it doesn\u2019t do so. Liberalism acknowledges that misery is the best you can hope for and everybody ought to experience it. Liberalism promotes the idea that there isn\u2019t any exceptionalism. Liberalism promotes the idea that there isn\u2019t any real greatness. As Elizabeth Warren said (paraphrasing), “You didn\u2019t build that. You didn\u2019t make that happen. You business owner, you factory owner, you big success story, you didn\u2019t make that happen. You didn\u2019t build that. You couldn\u2019t have done that without us.”<\/p>\n

They deny success each and every time they can. They, therefore, have a deep resentment for people like Trump, who know how to capitalize on cycles in business. So, Hillary runs her attack ad claiming that Trump cheered on the housing collapse, which, by the way, her husband caused. It\u2019s kind of an important point, folks. The subprime mortgage crisis, Bill Clinton, Janet Reno.<\/p>\n

Bill Clinton, following the lead of Jimmy Carter, demanding that all of these banks lend money to people, mortgages to people that can\u2019t ever pay it back, because the dream, the American dream of home ownership was being denied to low-income people. It wasn\u2019t fair. And how can we have low-income people in homes when they can\u2019t afford a mortgage? We give them the mortgage. We make the banks give them the mortgage. We end redlining, we end all this, anybody that wants one, gets one.<\/p>\n

And the banks, unable to collect because they made loans to people that couldn\u2019t pay them back, they were forced to, what\u2019d the banks do? Well, they created new products, and they repackaged all of these worthless loans into things called mortgage-backed securities. What they really did, they\u2019d go out and package hundreds of these subprime loans into a single package and go out and sell that package to, in many cases, unsuspecting buyers, who were told, “Look at this income stream we\u2019re selling you. We\u2019ve got hundreds of people making mortgage payments, you can\u2019t lose on the deal.”<\/p>\n

And they kept doing that until there were no suckers left to buy the worthless paper, and that\u2019s when it blew up. It really isn\u2019t any more complicated than that. It is, but if you want to know what happened, that\u2019s exactly it. Bill Clinton, federal government demands banks lend money to people that can\u2019t pay it back. In some cases the banks wanted to; in other cases they didn\u2019t. But it was government policy that made this happen. The banks are sitting there with worthless money. They\u2019ve got people that have mortgages and homes that can\u2019t pay it back, so there were foreclosures left and right.<\/p>\n

They sold these worthless mortgages to unsuspecting buyers who then, when they realized what they had bought, they repackaged them into some other new kind of product and sold \u2019em to other unsuspecting buyers. It took about eight years, and there were no suckers left. And poorhouses like Lehman Brothers couldn\u2019t move their worthless paper, and so they don\u2019t exist anymore.<\/p>\n

And all of this happened under the guidance of the Clinton administration, under the premise that it\u2019s unfair that people who can\u2019t afford a home don\u2019t have a home. That\u2019s not right. That\u2019s not fair. That\u2019s not how Mrs. Clinton saw it. Let\u2019s go back to 2007, December 5th. NASDAQ stock market, Senator Clinton speaking about the foreclosure housing crisis.<\/p>\n

HILLARY: Now, who\u2019s exactly to blame for the housing crisis? I think there is plenty of blame to go around. Home buyers who paid extra fees to avoid documenting their income should have known they were getting in over their heads.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Oh! So now it\u2019s the citizen\u2019s fault, it\u2019s the home buyer\u2019s fault. That\u2019s chutzpah. When was the last time you ever heard a Democrat blame the people for anything? Actually they do it a lot, but I mean this was blatant.<\/p>\n

Now we get to Pocahontas. This is Elizabeth Warren, and I want you to listen. Forget what she\u2019s saying for a minute. When the left, the media and everybody else, when they hear Elizabeth Warren out there on the, what would you call it, the warpath, Pocahontas, she\u2019s on the warpath out there going after Trump, they\u2019re gonna compare the way she sounds going after Trump to the way Hillary sounds, and they\u2019re gonna have buyer\u2019s remorse. So here is Elizabeth Warren last night in Washington, The Center for Popular Democracy\u2019s annual gala, and she rips into the Trumpster.<\/p>\n

WARREN: What kind of a man roots for people to get thrown out of their house? It is a man who cares about no one but himself. A small, insecure money-grubber who doesn\u2019t care who gets hurt, so long as he makes a profit off it.<\/p>\n

RUSH: What does she think Bill and Hillary Clinton are, for crying out loud? Anyway, Trump reacted to it by calling her Pocahontas. This is during his campaign event in Albuquerque last night.<\/p>\n

TRUMP: Hillary Clinton has somebody. Did you ever hear of Pocahontas?<\/p>\n

AUDIENCE: (rippling laughter)<\/p>\n

TRUMP: Huh? It\u2019s “Pocahontas” Elizabeth Warren. She said she was an Indian! She said because her cheekbones were high, she was an Indian, that she was Native American! And, you know, we have these surrogates — people like her, total failures — and I\u2019ll tell you what. Our country is getting wise to what\u2019s happening. It\u2019s a big scam, and we\u2019re all being scammed together, and we\u2019re not gonna take it anymore, okay?<\/p>\n

AUDIENCE: (cheering)<\/p>\n

TRUMP: We\u2019re not gonna take it anymore.<\/p>\n

AUDIENCE: (cheering)<\/p>\n

TRUMP: Pocahontas!<\/p>\n

RUSH: The housing crisis was a big scam that they\u2019re trying to lay off on people like Trump, and they\u2019re trying to lay off on the buyers! And then Trump… By the way, you will never see any other Republican candidate get anywhere near this. “In the first place, she\u2019s a woman. We can\u2019t attack the woman! We can\u2019t make fun of a woman! We can\u2019t do that.” Well, Trump does. You know, I\u2019ve got a story in the Stack here how Hillary has been advised by Emily\u2019s List to drop the woman card.<\/p>\n

Did you know that? She been advised drop the woman card. That\u2019s like somebody telling Obama, “Drop the race card. It isn\u2019t working.” Why do you think they\u2019re telling her to drop the woman card? “Well, it isn\u2019t working.” But why? Anyway, one more from Trump defending himself, mocking Hillary on the housing attack. It\u2019s very fast. It\u2019s 11 seconds. Again, at the Albuquerque rally…<\/p>\n

TRUMP: You see this low-life? She puts out an ad (screeching impression), “Donald Trump is a terrible person, and he wanted to buy housing when it was at a low point!” Who the hell doesn\u2019t?<\/p>\n

RUSH: And we will be back.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, no, Hillary\u2019s been selling this “Woman Card.” She been selling it. It\u2019s a miserable failure. It was a fundraiser selling for $1, and that\u2019s one of the things that they\u2019re being told by Emily\u2019s List, “Drop it. Drop it. Get rid of it. It\u2019s not worth it.”<\/p>\n

RUSH: Let\u2019s not forget, by the way… You know, Trump is gonna get on to this. If they keep sending Elizabeth Warren out there (and maybe even if they don\u2019t), Elizabeth Warren was one of these house flippers. You know, she watched these shows with these guys driving around in Rolls-Royces telling everybody how they can be millionaires. She bought into it. She was flipping houses.
