RUSH: Patrick in Sonora, California, I\u2019m glad you waited, sir. You\u2019re next on EIB Network.CALLER:  Mega dittos from my safe space in the Mother Lode.<\/p>\n

RUSH:  Well, great to have you, sir.<\/p>\n

CALLER:  Gotta take you in the flashback machine real quick.  Two things. One, you were a celebrity judge in 1987 in Chico, California, when Chico State got named party school.<\/p>\n

RUSH:  I remember that.  I was.<\/p>\n

CALLER:  I was the deejay who played the music for the girls.<\/p>\n

RUSH:  (laughing) Is that right? Way back!<\/p>\n

CALLER:  Janet Jackson stuff.<\/p>\n

RUSH:  Way back 1980… Oh, those are some great days.<\/p>\n

CALLER:  That was a year before you went national.  I didn\u2019t know you. Sorry, I didn\u2019t know you back then. I didn\u2019t know. I was a conservative then but I didn\u2019t listen to your show.<\/p>\n

RUSH:  It was a missed opportunity for you. Yes.<\/p>\n

CALLER: A friend of mine was a huge fan. You went over to JB\u2019s and he was the bartender there.<\/p>\n

RUSH:  That\u2019s right. That\u2019s right. You remember when…? What was it? Chico was named the party school, but what was the absolute worst place in the world to live? Redding?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Well, you were —<\/p>\n

RUSH: Yuba City!  Yuba City!<\/p>\n

CALLER:  I mean, Chico —<\/p>\n

RUSH:  No, no.  Yuba City.  Yuba City was the worst the place in the world to live shortly after Chico was named the party school, and I went and did my program live from Yuba City and we started a refugee movement back down to Sacramento.<\/p>\n

CALLER: (chuckling) The other memory is from your Grooveyard of Forgotten Favorites. I remember it had been a Monday because I was driving back to re —<\/p>\n

RUSH:  Wait, wait, wait.  Hang on. I hate to… I misread the clock.  You had one less minute than I thought here.  Don\u2019t go away out there.<\/p>\n

BREAK TRANSCRIPT<\/p>\n

RUSH: I want to go back to Patrick in Sonora, California. You had talked about how… You\u2019re remembering various things that happened in the late eighties in Northern California involving me.  But what was the second point you were gonna make?<\/p>\n

CALLER:  It\u2019s your Grooveyard of Forgotten Favorites, something you taught us about out here on the media, and after I stopped laughing I realized how right you were.  And you said, “Here\u2019s why the media does what they do, the same reason a dog licks himself: Because it can.”<\/p>\n

RUSH: (interruption) Boy, you got a memory.<\/p>\n

<\/a>CALLER:  After I stopped laughing I realized how succinct and brilliant that was, \u2019cause the media is not covering this transgender<\/a> thing the way normal people or sane people like myself do. I don\u2019t have any daughters, but I have nieces; I have teenaged nieces; I have older nieces; I have a wife.  This is a safety issue.  This is about predator like the one in the story you just read, going into these bathrooms and taking advantage of it.  And it\u2019s happening, but they\u2019re not covering it, and it\u2019s really interesting how they took, you know, gun control and turned it into “gun safety,” but they\u2019re not treating this as a safety issue.<\/p>\n

RUSH:  No.  That\u2019s actually a good point.  “Civil rights.” You could you could legalize rape if you called it Civil Rights Act of 2016.<\/p>\n

CALLER:  Yeah.<\/p>\n

RUSH:  Theoretically —<\/p>\n

CALLER:  You never hear about women identifying as men going into men\u2019s bathrooms or men\u2019s locker rooms.<\/p>\n

RUSH:  Uhhhh, wait a minute.  Wait just a second.  Yes, you do.  Yes, you do.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Well, I haven\u2019t.<\/p>\n

RUSH:  Well, you don\u2019t hear about it that way.  That happens after the operation —<\/p>\n

CALLER: (chuckling)<\/p>\n

RUSH: — or after the “reassignment.”  I mean, after all, if a guy who “becomes a woman” still has the male genitalia, what are we talking about?<\/p>\n

CALLER:  Well, you know, that\u2019s gonna become known once they get in there.<\/p>\n

RUSH:  Well, and then that new woman wants to use the women\u2019s room?<\/p>\n

CALLER:  Those are all private stalls.  They look like a woman. I mean, they did the Caitlyn Jenner look and he\u2019s still got his plumbing, male plumbing. But he\u2019s gonna go into a separate stall.<\/p>\n

RUSH:  Well, I mean, that\u2019s the thing.  By the way, speaking of Jenner, wasn\u2019t there a story that he was having guilt or whatever? Not guilty.  It turned out not to be true.  He was denying it, but apparently he had regrets — that\u2019s what it was — over going through the gender reassignment. He wanted to go back to being Bruce.  I think they went into… He denied that or some such thing.  Anyway, Patrick, that\u2019s right. Here\u2019s the thing about it — and, folks, don\u2019t have an overreaction here.  My point is, the civil rights is another way the left gets its way.<\/p>\n

Calling this a civil rights issue and Title VII and Title IX?  People don\u2019t even know what those are.  I mean, some people might know what Title IX is if they\u2019ve been impacted by it with girls and sports and college.  Other than that, nobody knows what Title IX is and they now don\u2019t know what Title VII is.  Here comes the Regime saying, “Well, Title VII, Title IX of the Civil Rights Act 1994 updated as of 1985 specifying transgender…”  It doesn\u2019t.  Transgender is not even mentioned as a word in Title VII or Title IX.<\/p>\n

So then they go back and they say, “Well, the founders even tried to permit for this in…” The founders weren\u2019t thinking transgender transshmender when they wrote the Constitution! But if you call it a civil right, then you automatically make it impossible for people to oppose it. Because if you oppose civil rights, you must be a racist.  That\u2019s how it\u2019s manifested itself in our society.  Civil rights issues are always race issues.  Most of them are.  For example, after the Rodney King riots in LA or any other, what have you, the civil rights division of the Justice Department goes in to investigate.<\/p>\n

So they always attach that. The reading public, the news-consuming public has been conditioned to attack the words “civil rights” to race.  Now it\u2019s being expanded. Civil rights means gay marriage. Civil rights means transgender bathroom rights. Civil rights, whatever the left wants, except over here rape has become a safety issue.  But over here this stuff is a civil rights issue.  When you hear the left equate anything with civil rights, what you should learn is this is how they are attempting to corrupt the culture, and they\u2019re doing it under the banner of civil rights which is supposed to shut you up.<\/p>\n

It is supposed to silence opposition, because nobody with a brain is ever supposed to violate civil rights. Never. Anybody with a brain would never, never to oppose anything has civil rights attached to it, which is why the joke: “You could legalize whatever you want by calling it the Civil Rights Act of 2016, \u2019cause nobody would have the guts to vote against it.”<\/p>\n

Because if they did, you\u2019d have the media, Democrats running around saying, “So-and-so voted against the Civil Rights Act of 2016, denying all of our citizens\u2019 equal rights!” Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.  In fact, much of Democrat legislation is so misnamed, it\u2019s a joke, and it\u2019s done precisely for similar reasons.  And, yes, I did say that the media replicates… You know, “why do dogs lick themselves? Because they can. Why is it the media does what it does? Because they can.”<\/p>\n
