CALLER:\u00a0 Yeah, it\u2019s an honor to be on the show.<\/p>\n

<\/a>RUSH:\u00a0 Thank you again for that.\u00a0 Rufus, how old are you?<\/p>\n

CALLER:\u00a0 I\u2019m 11.<\/p>\n

RUSH:\u00a0 Eleven years old.<\/p>\n

CALLER:\u00a0 Yes.\u00a0 And I\u2019m a huge fan of your book, Rush Revere.<\/p>\n

RUSH:\u00a0 You\u2019re a very polite young man.\u00a0 You\u2019re well-mannered.\u00a0 It\u2019s really nice to talk to somebody like you.\u00a0 You obviously respect people and respect your elders like me.\u00a0 You sound like a really, really fine young man, Rufus. So I\u2019m not surprised you\u2019d like these books.<\/p>\n

CALLER:\u00a0 I\u2019m calling to thank you for your book<\/a>.\u00a0 It helped me be one of the state finalists in the National History Bee.<\/p>\n

RUSH:\u00a0 Really?<\/p>\n

CALLER:\u00a0 Yeah.<\/p>\n

RUSH:\u00a0 When did this happen?\u00a0 You were one of the students, or is that going on right now?<\/p>\n

CALLER:\u00a0 It\u2019s finished a long time ago, and right now I\u2019m going to Chicago where the National History Bee will be, and it\u2019s June 9th to June 12th.<\/p>\n

RUSH:\u00a0 Well, I\u2019ll bet you\u2019re really looking forward to that.<\/p>\n

<\/a>CALLER:\u00a0 Yeah, I love history.<\/p>\n

RUSH:\u00a0 So the Brave Pilgrims book… That\u2019s the first one. That\u2019s the one that you really liked?<\/p>\n

CALLER:\u00a0 Yeah, Brave Pilgrims, First Patriot.\u00a0 I forgot the other two.<\/p>\n

RUSH:\u00a0 So have you read them all?<\/p>\n

CALLER:\u00a0 Yeah, I have all of them. \u00a0I get them as Christmas presents and birthday presents.<\/p>\n

RUSH:\u00a0 You get them for Christmas presents.\u00a0 Rufus, you\u2019re making my day here.\u00a0 Let me ask you. You probably don\u2019t have the audio versions, but I\u2019ll tell you what, Rufus. If you hang on, I want Mr. Snerdley to get your address. If it\u2019s okay with your parents, I\u2019d like to send you a little goody bag of stuff from Rush Revere and Liberty headquarters<\/a>, just a little something.<\/p>\n

You\u2019ll have the audio versions — read, of course, by me, very professionally — and it\u2019s a great way to revisit the books without reading them again. So it\u2019s the least I can do.\u00a0 Do you have a sister by any chance, Rufus?<\/p>\n

CALLER:\u00a0 Yeah.\u00a0 Her name is Genica Jasper Abraham.<\/p>\n

RUSH:\u00a0 How old is she?<\/p>\n

CALLER:\u00a0 She is six.<\/p>\n

RUSH:\u00a0 She\u2019s six. Oh.\u00a0 Well, then we\u2019re gonna throw in something for her. We have a great stuffed doll, a stuffed animal of Liberty<\/a>, the horse, that we\u2019ll send you and you can give her and she will love it. And it\u2019ll set her up for when she learns to read well enough to read these books.<\/p>\n
