Hello.<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: Happy Independence Day, Rush.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Thank you.<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: Have a great time in Joplin.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Thank you very much.<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: My family and I recently traveled to Asia, and I couldn\u2019t wait to get back to tell you about two things. First is we listened to your mellifluous voice in the shadow of Tiananmen Square in Beijing because my husband would download the daily podcast &#8212; and we knew, as long as we heard your broadcast, we still had a country to come back to, so it was great.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: (laughing)<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: There was something curious, though, Rush. Every few minutes the broadcast would stop when we were listening to it in the hotel room, and then we had to wait a few minutes and it would suddenly pick up again, and my husband said, &#8220;I think it\u2019s because we have bad Internet connectivity in the hotel,&#8221; but I said, &#8220;I bet the Party leaders were busy transcribing the program.&#8221; (giggles)<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: I wouldn\u2019t doubt it. ChiComs do that.<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: Yeah.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: I would not. <\/p>\n<p>CALLER: (giggles)<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: No, seriously.<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: Oh, I know.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: I wouldn\u2019t doubt it at all.<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: No.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: I wouldn\u2019t predict it but if we learned that\u2019s happening, I wouldn\u2019t be surprised at all.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/live-rush-limbaugh.pantheonsite.io\/wp-content\/uploads\/01125111.Par.89380.ImageFile.jpg\" width=\"299\" height=\"211\" class=\"alignright\"\/>CALLER: Yeah. Rush, one more quick thing because I know you have other callers. In both Shion and Beijing we saw T-shirts for sale with Obama\u2019s face on them. Now, these were not just any T-shirts. They were the olive-colored, army-type T-shirts and the picture of Obama was the one with his chin turned up in the air, and he was wearing a Mao hat.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Oh, yes.<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: The hat with the single red star, and I said to my husband, &#8220;Boy, I bet they didn\u2019t do that to Ronald Reagan or Bill Clinton or even Richard Nixon,&#8221; but they were there selling the Obama picture in the Mao hat in two places.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Now, were they honoring Obama? Was this something they were doing in honor of him, that he\u2019s one of them, or was this some people&#8230;?<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: Well, I think the shop owners were very proud to be peddling these things, and they came up to us and said, &#8220;Oh, would you like to buy one?&#8221; and we just looked at it and said &#8220;No, thank you,&#8221; and they may have thought they were ingratiating themselves with us by having a picture of our &#8220;Dear Leader&#8221; on their T-shirt, but I don\u2019t think they really understand why it is that they\u2019re selling them. <\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Now, I\u2019m being told here, Kathy, that Obama Mao posters are supposed to be illegal over there, that the ChiComs said they were gonna put an end to the ObaMao stuff.<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: (chuckles) Well, that\u2019s interesting, because we saw these two T-shirts, as I said, one was in Shion, and one in Beijing. One, in fact, was near The Great Wall in a little tourist shop.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Right. I wonder why the ChiComs would want to make the ObaMao T-shirts illegal. You like that word, by the way, &#8220;ObaMao&#8221;? <\/p>\n<p>CALLER: (giggles)<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: ObaMao.<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: (giggles)<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Remember one of Obama\u2019s former advisors &#8212; what was her name, Anita Dunn? I think it was Anita Dunn. It was some Dunn. Yeah, Anita Dunn. She went to National Cathedral where she was giving a lecture to some students that she admired Mao \u2019cause Mao knew how to get things done. (laughing) Kathy, that\u2019s great. You were listening to the podcast of this program every day in your hotel, in China, and the ChiComs were jamming it. That\u2019s what was going on. The ChiComs were jamming the signal. There\u2019s no question about it.<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: Because we listened to it in Hong Kong and Japan as well and we didn\u2019t have those interruptions.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Yeah. Well&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: You know, Rush, I was fascinated watching the changes in the Chinese economy and what I did when I got back, I called up a friend at the Heritage Foundation, and I said, &#8220;I\u2019d like to talk with one of your Chinese economists to understand more of what\u2019s going on in the economy there,&#8221; and sure enough they got me to the right person so I just want to say again Heritage is a great resource &#8212; <\/p>\n<p>RUSH: There you go.<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: &#8212; if you want to find out things like this.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: There you go.
