RUSH: Johnny in Prairieville, Louisiana, is that right? Great to have you on the EIB Network. Hi.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yeah. Thanks for taking my call, Rush.<\/p>\n

RUSH: You bet, sir.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Three quick points. The black vote. I\u2019m a black male, and I don\u2019t see where everybody\u2019s getting it that he\u2019s gonna get all the black votes. It\u2019s not happening.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, he does, though, he did, that\u2019s why everybody is saying it.<\/p>\n

CALLER: All my friends, I call them Obamaholics, they was all drunk off of hope and change. Now that he\u2019s been in office two years, it\u2019s like they went to rehab. They\u2019re not voting for him. It\u2019s not gonna happen. And everybody saying that he\u2019s disingenuous. Untrue. Why not call it what it is? He\u2019s a liar. Everything from him with the drilling moratorium, border secure and all — it\u2019s not.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Let me ask you a question, and answer this as best you can. I know that you don\u2019t know every black person in the country. But what were they expecting, these friends that you do know who were disappointed in Obama, what were they expecting in their personal lives? What kind of changes did they think Obama was going to bring that haven\u2019t happened?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Everything from I guess welfare to just free stuff. <\/p>\n

RUSH: Did they really think that?<\/p>\n

CALLER: I don\u2019t have to pay my rent. I\u2019m gonna get free gas and all this stuff. It\u2019s not gonna happen.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Really? Be serious. People you know, your friends, they thought that it would mean more freebies, more welfare? Did they think that that was gonna be \u2019cause Obama was gonna finally make things fair, make things right for all the past discrimination? Why did they think that?<\/p>\n

CALLER: That\u2019s a good question. I couldn\u2019t really answer that, but —<\/p>\n

RUSH: But you didn\u2019t think it.<\/p>\n

CALLER: No, I tried to tell \u2019em. I tried to tell all of them, and they hate to see me coming now \u2019cause I laughs at \u2019em, you know, how that hope and change working for you? Hope and change don\u2019t fill up my tank, you know. <\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, no, don\u2019t misunderstand. I know some did. We\u2019ve had audio sound bites from Detroit and we had a town hall meeting in Tampa or Fort Myers not long after he was elected, there was a woman who actually made it sound like she was expecting a new kitchen, but I didn\u2019t really think that the majority of the black population thought that?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yes. Yes. I really do. I really do believe that. Yes.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, I had a different idea. I thought there might be things that they thought Obama would do that would level the playing field in ways they think it\u2019s unleveled or unfair.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Well, what I was telling them, Obama wants to tax the rich. I had a construction company. I\u2019ve never worked for a poor person. Everybody that hired me, they had money.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Right.<\/p>\n

CALLER: So soon as poor people start hiring, well, I work for \u2019em. You know, start paying, I be more than happy to work for \u2019em but that won\u2019t happen, it\u2019s not gonna work.<\/p>\n

RUSH: That\u2019s all good points. I can\u2019t dispute that. I\u2019ve never worked for a poor person, either. I\u2019ve never had a poor person work for me.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yes. And Obama keeps talking about this lavish mansion that Osama was living in. Well, now that it\u2019s empty, why don\u2019t Obama let his brother go live there.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Exactly. That\u2019s another thing, that circumstance with his brother, it\u2019s clear, he wants other people paying for these kinds of things. Johnny, I appreciate the call. I really do.<\/p>\n
