CALLER: Hello, Rush. The Democrats just can\u2019t see your genius. We do. Don\u2019t worry about it.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, thanks very much. I count on the fact they don\u2019t see it. <\/p>\n

CALLER: (giggles) Yeah!<\/p>\n

RUSH: That\u2019s why we\u2019re so easily able to game them.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Exactly. I\u2019m a volunteer caller for the Tea Party, and you are dead on: Elmer Fudd could beat this guy. I take down all of the repetitious comments that I hear, and the big one is: They fear a wolf in sheep\u2019s clothing who is governing against the will of the people. I\u2019ve heard it hundreds of times. I\u2019ve heard, “BO rich: If you are BO rich you are a BO target,” and I love that one. <\/p>\n

RUSH: Yeah.<\/p>\n

CALLER: But you can\u2019t be elected because they don\u2019t trust him. They don\u2019t trust the un-American attitude, the anti-Israel, and ignoring the people — giving our money away while he\u2019s trying to take our money away. I mean, this is just a small amount. I have hundreds, here, and Mr. Snerdley told me to keep it short, so I will, but no. He can\u2019t win, on anything.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Snerdley\u2019s always trying to shortchange people on this show. <\/p>\n

CALLER: (giggles)<\/p>\n

RUSH: We deal with it once you get on the air, but Obama can win. Don\u2019t get overconfident. He can win. My point is he\u2019s beatable. The conventional wisdom is, “Oh, my gosh! He\u2019s not beatable. Ohhhh, don\u2019t waste the A Team on this one, Rush. We can\u2019t win this.” It\u2019s BS.<\/p>\n

BREAK TRANSCRIPT<\/p>\n

RUSH: Cornelia in Dallas, you\u2019re next on Open Line Friday, great to have you here. Hello.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Thanks, Rush. I want to take you back to the State of the Union address where the Democrats were bloody and disillusioned and their tongues were hanging out, and that speech was supposed to be a rousing call to arms, give me a Democrat Senate so I can get my program through, and what did he do?<\/p>\n

RUSH: Which speech, now, which year?<\/p>\n

CALLER: This year.<\/p>\n

RUSH: This year.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yeah. And so he just hung \u2019em out to dry. He had some grand plans, it was all about Obama again. And I think the fracturing of the Democratic Party has not been discussed properly. And have you seen him out campaigning for anything but himself?<\/p>\n

RUSH: No. No. He doesn\u2019t care about anything but himself. I mean he\u2019s told Blue Dog Democrats in the House essentially that. But the State of the Union, the reason I\u2019m confused here, State of the Union is in January, February, after the elections. <\/p>\n

CALLER: I know. That\u2019s when they were bloodying and bowed and he shoulda been saying, “I can\u2019t get my program through if I don\u2019t have Democrats here.” He shoulda started then. He didn\u2019t. Did you notice how infrequently there was clapping?<\/p>\n

RUSH: Yeah, yeah, yeah. I did make note of that. <\/p>\n

CALLER: Of course there were fewer claps.<\/p>\n

RUSH: It was a dud. There\u2019s no question, it was a dud speech.<\/p>\n

CALLER: That\u2019s right.<\/p>\n

RUSH: There wasn\u2019t much energy in there at all.<\/p>\n

CALLER: I think the fracturing of the Democrats all the way down the line is an undiscussed thing. I don\u2019t have any facts; I just have a feeling.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, I know. Even the Shrivers are breaking up. Did you see that?<\/p>\n

CALLER: I don\u2019t think it relates to Obama, though.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, Arnold and Maria are breaking up. She moved out a long time ago. Yeah, it\u2019s just an illustration of how deep the fracture is.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Well, you know, the Gores broke up.<\/p>\n

RUSH: But they\u2019re never gonna report that. You know that. They\u2019re never gonna report the fracturing. Look, this defeat in the House is major. I can\u2019t even now tell you how profound a victory for the Republicans, or defeat for Obama and the Democrats that was, and it extends way down to the states. It\u2019s huge. But of course they\u2019re not gonna talk about it. The conventional wisdom is the people have changed their minds since then, and Obama\u2019s now unbeatable. It\u2019s all BS.<\/p>\n
