RUSH: Obama, March 20th of this year had a video message to the Iranian people for the Muslim holiday in Nowruz.<\/p>\n

OBAMA: Today I want to extend my very best wishes to all who are celebrating Nowruz around the world. With the coming of a new season, we\u2019re reminded of this precious humanity that we all share, and we can once again call upon this spirit as we seek the promise of a new beginning. Thank you, and (speaking Arabic).<\/p>\n

RUSH: (trying to speak Arabic) No, Mubarak\u2019s gone, you dispatched him. But there is something about Nowruz. Here was Obama, a Nowruz message for the Iranians. So this afternoon in the White House, the press secretary Jay Carney held a daily press briefing. An unidentified female infobabe said, “Hey, quick question. You guys traditionally put out statements or proclamations on various religious holidays. I don\u2019t think I saw one from the president on Easter yesterday. And I was just wondering if there was any reason that the president didn\u2019t have an Easter proclamation yesterday.”<\/p>\n

CARNEY: You know, the president went to church yesterday. It was well covered. I\u2019m not sure if we put out a statement or not, but he obviously personally celebrated Easter with his family and went to church to celebrate that and —<\/p>\n

TAPPER: It\u2019s the highest Christian holiday and you don\u2019t know if he put out a statement? Come on, Jay, come on.<\/p>\n

CARNEY: I\u2019m glad you\u2019re asking me key important questions, guys. The fact is the president took his family to church in a very high-profile way to celebrate Easter. I think it was highly visible to most Americans. And as a devoted Christian, he believes it\u2019s a very important holiday for him personally, for his family and for Christians around the country.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Wow. Did you hear the press guy say, “Jay, come on, Jay, the highest Christian holiday and you don\u2019t know if he put out a statement? You\u2019re in the press office, Jay, come on.” “I\u2019m glad you guys are asking me these key questions.” Carney is clearly ticked off here. So, yeah, the president went to church. <\/p>\n

Let me tell you about that. I wasn\u2019t gonna mention this. Glenn Beck\u2019s website, The Blaze, they got a story about Obama\u2019s pastor, yeah, the new one, Dr. Wallace Charles Smith. This guy on Easter Sunday compared me by name to the KKK in his Easter sermon and talk radio as nothing but a bunch of racists, with the president of the United States sitting in the congregation. Reverend Jeremiah Wright Jr. in an Easter Sunday sermon saw fit to compare me to the modern-day KKK, when in fact the only members of the KKK that have ever been in politics are the Democrats, Robert Byrd and so forth. (imitating Clinton) “Remember, now, the guy came from the hills and the hollers of West Virginia, and, you know, he had to do certain things to get elected like join the Klan. Remember, he did it for you.” That\u2019s what Clinton said in the eulogy. <\/p>\n

So in the Easter Sunday sermon, Obama chooses a church with essentially a Jeremy Wright Jr. as a preacher, and I am called out as the equivalent of the modern day KKK. And, by the way, Obama has not missed a commemoration on every Muslim holiday. He\u2019s not missed one. “What are you saying with that, Mr. Limbaugh?” Nothing. I\u2019m just saying every Muslim holiday to come down the pike he\u2019s had a proclamation for it, but he didn\u2019t have a proclamation for Easter. But I know why. It\u2019s because he already told us about Easter last Tuesday at a prayer breakfast. He\u2019d already issued his Easter proclamation. This was it.<\/p>\n

OBAMA: As busy as we are, as many tasks as pile up, during this season we are reminded that there\u2019s something about the Resurrection, something about the Resurrection of our savior, Jesus Christ, that puts everything else in perspective.<\/p>\n

RUSH: That\u2019s the Easter statement. There\u2019s something about the Resurrection, there\u2019s something about the Resurrection of Jesus Christ that puts everything else in perspective. So I guess President Obama has found his replacement for Reverend Wright. <\/p>\n

BREAK TRANSCRIPT<\/p>\n

RUSH: In my haste, and through a little bit of confusion, I got The Blaze website story wrong. Obama\u2019s minister did not mention me in yesterday\u2019s Easter sermon as a modern equivalent of the KKK. That was back in January of 2010, and Cookie has the bite. She\u2019s editing it now. I don\u2019t know if we\u2019ll have it before the program comes to a screeching halt. It was January 15th of last year, and the Blaze site points this out but in sort of a convoluted way. (sigh) Frankly, I\u2019m a little revealed. That would be an Easter sermon! But the guy has said it from the pulpit before anyway, so… (interruption) No difference, you\u2019re saying? No difference? <\/p>\n
