Hello.<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: Hey, Rush, how you doing?<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Good.<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: It\u2019s very pitiful that we have to start running for office when we haven\u2019t even done the job we were elected to do two years ago. I thought that the president may have pulled it off and it looks like he didn\u2019t do it. I didn\u2019t vote for him but I wished him well, and I had hoped that he would have done some things that he said he was going to do.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Yeah.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/live-rush-limbaugh.pantheonsite.io\/wp-content\/uploads\/01125113.Par.89380.ImageFile.jpg\" width=\"300\" height=\"210\" class=\"alignright\"\/>CALLER: Just 50,000 jobs? That happens every spring. You go to the fast food places and they have new faces. You go to amusement parks, you go to the beaches and you see people from Europe over here that can\u2019t speak English very well but they\u2019ve got jobs, and this happens every year. But these are not jobs that people can support a family on and make a career of. This is just like every spring you see the robins come to the north and every year we see young kids, my kids, getting jobs. But the real thing that I want to say is that, you know, I hope that I live to see the greatest president of this country to be elected because the president that can turn this country around to be elected in the next two to six years, if he can turn this around can probably go down as the greatest president of the country.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Well, that\u2019s very nice of you to say, but I\u2019m not running.<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: Well, that won\u2019t be you, then, but somebody\u2019s gotta turn it around, Rush. Somebody\u2019s gotta turn it around and we need somebody to step up and say, &#8220;I want to be your president for four years and four years only and you\u2019re not gonna see me on the campaign trail, you\u2019re not gonna see me raising funds for anyone. You\u2019re gonna see me very seldomly smiling from ear to ear and waving to you because I\u2019m gonna be too busy doing the job of the people. And when I get through, you won\u2019t be electing me because all of you are gonna be unhappy with me because all of you are gonna have to pay to get us out of this mess.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Well, if that happens, that person would be reelected by acclimation, if that were actually possible to happen. But I get your point. It comes up now and then, that people would support somebody who just say, &#8220;Look, I\u2019m here for four years. I\u2019m doing none of the usual stuff. I\u2019m not doing fundraisers. I\u2019m gonna fix the problems and then I\u2019m outta here, I\u2019m leaving.&#8221; People would respond to that, there\u2019s no question. But the Democrats and the media would destroy the guy. Do you have anybody in mind outside of me? Who is your fantasy candidate? Is there anybody you think that could pull off what you just suggested?<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: I don\u2019t know who it is, but there\u2019s someone out there that can do it. They just need to step up and say, &#8220;I\u2019m not gonna run for reelection. I\u2019m going to get the job done, and when I get through doing this job, none of you are gonna like me, I\u2019ll probably have to go into exile.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Okay, so it\u2019s none of the names we know then?<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: No one has impressed me but, you know, the Israelis waited for Jesus to come for many, many years so maybe that\u2019s who we need.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: (laughing) Yeah, you could look at it that way. (laughing) All right, well, look, I\u2019m glad you called. We\u2019ve tried messiahs. We got one now and that\u2019s not working out well for us. We\u2019ve done the messiah route, and they\u2019re just not cracked up to be all that they are. Anyway, John, I appreciate it.
