How does it feel to be in the path of the next tsunami, the next destructive earthquake, and to have no chance whatsoever to survive?<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: Well, I think my property will become beachfront.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Yeah, but&#8230; (laughing)<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: I\u2019m in Walana Valley.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: But it\u2019s gonna be so contaminated you can\u2019t live there. I\u2019ve been reading it in the media.<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: Well, we\u2019re used to that, Rush.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: (laughing) Anyway, thanks for the call. What\u2019s up?<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: Well, if there\u2019s no meaningful action taken on this budget, what will the Tea Party do and when.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Third party. That\u2019s what will happen. The Tea Party will throw out, in nominating fights, the people they think are not up to snuff &#8212; and if that doesn\u2019t work, eventually they\u2019re gonna go third party. I think what everybody misunderstands about this Tea Party business &#8212; and I think it\u2019s one of the reasons why it\u2019s resented, and I think one of the reasons that the intelligentsia on both sides has <a xhtml:id=\"\/content\/home\/daily\/site_031511\/content\/01125113\" href=\"\/\/\/home\/daily\/site_031511\/content\/01125113.html\">problems with Palin<\/a> (\u2019cause she\u2019s associated with it) &#8212; is that the Tea Party doesn\u2019t have a leader. It\u2019s not of Washington. It\u2019s not of Yale. It\u2019s not of Harvard. It is not of Brown or Temple or Trinity or any of these other places. <\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s right out there in good, old-fashioned grassroots &#8212; and if you want to kill the Tea Party, there\u2019s no one person to go to the kill it. You gotta kill principles. You\u2019ve gotta wipe out total ideas. That constitutes a threat. So there\u2019s no real getting rid of the Tea Party when you boil it all down. So the Tea Party is&#8230; I mean, they do have some fundraising arms. I know this because I get the spam e-mail from \u2019em (and I say that with great affection) but look at Wisconsin. They haven\u2019t slackened off, their passion hasn\u2019t wavered. Their expectations are just as high as ever, and if they\u2019re not met, they have come to life and organized on the basis of real events and real principle. <\/p>\n<p>They have not been talked into anything. They don\u2019t exist because some rabble-rouser has gotten \u2019em all worked up. The Tea Party people, that whole organization (as it\u2019s defined) is the epitome of genuine. So third party. Who knows where they\u2019ll go, if that\u2019s what they think it takes to effect the outcome that they want, especially they know that they\u2019re the majority of thinking in the country, too? They know that they represent the majority of thinking of the people in this country. So best answer I have to your question is, &#8220;What will they do if things don\u2019t manifest themselves to their pleasure?&#8221; is resort to ways that would, and they\u2019ll probably do third party. That\u2019s the best I can think. &#8216;Cause it isn\u2019t gonna take \u2019em long to figure out that there\u2019s no influence on the current crop.
