RUSH: Well, I\u2019ll tell you what. It\u2019s an interesting theory that they\u2019re gonna dump Bite Me and they\u2019re gonna put Hillary in there as Obama\u2019s running mate. It ain\u2019t gonna matter because whoever it is is gonna lose. Either Sarah Palin\u2019s gonna beat \u2019em or Mitt Romney is gonna beat \u2019em or Rick Perry\u2019s gonna beat \u2019em, but they\u2019re gonna lose. I don\u2019t care what tricks they play. I don\u2019t care who they put on the ticket. (interruption) Yeah, I know. I said yesterday it\u2019s too early for everybody… (interruption) No, no. It\u2019s too early to think that Obama can\u2019t pull some rabbit out of his hat to try to change his fortunes. Yeah. You remember, now, the theory from yesterday was a Victor Davis Hanson piece: What if Obama all of a sudden comes out for tax cuts, corporate tax cuts, less regulation?<\/p>\n
What if, for example, Obama tomorrow in his speech gives an amnesty period on all the trillions of dollars that foreign companies are keeping overseas? What if he allows the repatriation of that money tax-free, for example? Well, that would be, as far as we\u2019re concerned, a good economic move — and it would just literally tick off his base like you can\u2019t believe! It would of irritation. I mean, corporations? That\u2019s like showing Dracula the cross. They hate \u2019em. What if he does that? What if he does that? That is going to inspire, it\u2019s gonna motivate some businesses. They\u2019re gonna be able to repatriate that cash that they\u2019re keeping overseas because they don\u2019t want it taxed at US rates, if there is an amnesty period to bring it back. Who knows?<\/p>\n
As far as Hillary\u2019s concerned, look at her. She\u2019s tired. It doesn\u2019t mean anything. I just think Hillary\u2019s tired. By the way, the professor, that Tina was talking about was Stephen Carter, and it was May 27th. “Economic Stagnation Explained at 30,000 Feet” was his column, and I\u2019ve got the link to it at RushLimbaugh.com. Koko, why don\u2019t you go put that up there in the orange banner right now so people can we familiarize themselves with it.
