RUSH: Kevin in Oklahoma City, great to have you on the program, Kevin. Welcome.<\/p>\n
CALLER: Hey, how you doing? I\u2019m a first-time caller from Oklahoma City.<\/p>\n
RUSH: Thank you, sir.<\/p>\n
CALLER: You said earlier that if Herman Cain is elected that he would be the first black president. What do you mean by that?<\/p>\n
RUSH: I said first authentically black president.<\/p>\n
CALLER: What does that mean?<\/p>\n
RUSH: Well, during the campaign of 2008 there were a number of liberal newspaper columnists, and even Reverend Sharpton who were challenging Barack Obama\u2019s authenticity, that he wasn\u2019t an authentic black because he didn\u2019t have any family history traced to slavery, that his mother was white —<\/p>\n
CALLER: Yeah.<\/p>\n
RUSH: — father from Kenya, you know, was not really down for the struggle. But it was them who said that. Now, I\u2019m simply bouncing off of them. I never get into debates over who\u2019s an authentic black and who isn\u2019t. It\u2019s the left that does that, it\u2019s the Democrat Party and their media that does that, but bouncing off what they said, Herman Cain would be more authentically black to me than Obama is.<\/p>\n
CALLER: Oh. So it\u2019s what they say and then you\u2019re just repeating —<\/p>\n
RUSH: Yeah, I\u2019m just bouncing off of it.<\/p>\n
CALLER: Oh, okay. And another thing you said, you said that Obama is worse than Bush?<\/p>\n
RUSH: Yeah. Well —<\/p>\n
CALLER: And I\u2019m trying to figure how you came to that conclusion.<\/p>\n
RUSH: Well, I actually didn\u2019t say it. I agree with it.<\/p>\n
CALLER: You agree with it, right.<\/p>\n
RUSH: It was a poll in a magazine, The Economist, which is a British magazine, and they had a poll here with something called YouGov.<\/p>\n
CALLER: Yeah.<\/p>\n
RUSH: And the majority in this poll rate Obama the same or worse than Bush, a majority said that Obama is as bad or worse than Bush —<\/p>\n
CALLER: Wow.<\/p>\n
RUSH: — in this poll. I was just citing the poll. <\/p>\n
CALLER: But you agree with it as well, right?<\/p>\n
RUSH: Yeah. I don\u2019t think it\u2019s even close. George Bush didn\u2019t destroy the country. George Bush didn\u2019t destroy our economy. And George Bush didn\u2019t want to. George Bush did not declare war against this country. George Bush doesn\u2019t run around and think that this country\u2019s populated with people who have to be gotten even with. He doesn\u2019t run around apologizing for America all over the place. It\u2019s not even close.<\/p>\n
CALLER: Yeah, I mean I understand. I didn\u2019t vote for Obama, and our economic trouble is partly his fault, but I do believe that a lot of the blame, or half of the blame, could go to Bush.<\/p>\n
