CALLER: Hey, Rush. I just wanted to express my extreme thanks for helping me understand the area of politics a lot more. I started listening to your show probably about three months ago, and —<\/p>\n
RUSH: Three months ago? Where have you been for 23 years?<\/p>\n
CALLER: (laughing) Well, actually I\u2019m 25, but —<\/p>\n
RUSH: Oh, okay. That explains part of it.<\/p>\n
CALLER: I always just went with what my grandmother said and I was never really interested in politics.<\/p>\n
RUSH: What did your grandmother say?<\/p>\n
RUSH: Well, what did she say? Did she tell you not to listen or something?<\/p>\n
CALLER: Ah, she always told me that you are a liar and not to listen to you.<\/p>\n
RUSH: (laughing)<\/p>\n
CALLER: Yeah.<\/p>\n
RUSH: Your little old grandmother told you that I was a liar and that you shouldn\u2019t listen?<\/p>\n
CALLER: Yes. Yes.<\/p>\n
RUSH: (sigh) Well, you\u2019ve been listening for three months now, so you obviously think your grandmother was wrong?<\/p>\n
CALLER: Yeah. I just talked to her the other day and I realized exactly how brainwashed she is on the whole aspect of politics \u2019cause I asked her who she was voting for next year, and she said that she was voting for Obama.<\/p>\n
RUSH: Yeah, it\u2019s just been in her family and it was just handed down to her. It\u2019s probably her DNA and so forth. I have a project for you, Brian: Have her listen with you someday. Start slow with a half hour. Gradually add five minutes every day. You\u2019ll be up to three hours before you know it and you\u2019ll have a brand-new relationship with your grandmother.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
