CALLER: I\u2019d like to comment on Rick Perry now going to the flat tax for his tax overhaul.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Yeah.<\/p>\n

CALLER: And I\u2019d like to comment saying that everyone is protesting Wall Street and everything like that, want the 1% to pay their fair share. And honestly of a flat tax, what should appease them is making everybody pay their fair share. I know Steve Forbes wanted 17% whenever he ran for president, but if everybody paid —<\/line><\/p>\n

RUSH: By the way, speaking of Steve Forbes, “Teve Torbes”<\/a> is getting close to endorsing Perry.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yes, yes, I watched a video of him talking about it earlier today. But I believe that right there would solve all the problems. I mean everyone wants them to pay their fair share. So Rick Perry I know hasn\u2019t laid out a percentage yet, but —<\/p>\n

RUSH: Wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute. How do you know everybody wants to pay their fair share? General Electric doesn\u2019t.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Well, that\u2019s what the people of Wall Street want, they want everybody to pay their fair share, and that\u2019s what Obama has been running on, the wealthy should pay their fair share. What\u2019s more fair than everybody that pays taxes paying, say, 16% of what they make overall? What\u2019s more fair than everyone actually paying percentage-wise their fair share?<\/p>\n

RUSH: Yeah, you gotta be careful on this whole “fair share” business. Seriously, I have a major problem with the whole concept of fair. I think it\u2019s elusive, difficult to define, other than situationally, and it\u2019s risky. I\u2019ll tell you, speaking of endorsements, Judge Bork who is writing a book called “1973,” that\u2019s when he was solicitor general and Nixon ordered him to go in there and fire everybody, and he did it, in what became known as the Saturday Night Massacre, Robert Bork, writing a book, has endorsed Romney.
