RUSH: Chris in Phoenix, Arizona, great to have you on the EIB Network. Hello, sir.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Hello. How you doing today?<\/p>\n

RUSH: Very good. Appreciate that.<\/p>\n

CALLER: I just wanted to bring up the fact Herman Cain<\/a> being attacked so much and get your thoughts on the fact that they haven\u2019t said anything about Romney, really, and I believe that they haven\u2019t said anything about Romney because they want to run against Romney because he\u2019s the most like Obama. He\u2019s the white version of Obama, in my opinion.<\/p>\n

RUSH: What do you mean, the white version of Obama? <\/line><\/p>\n

CALLER: Meaning, in 2008 or when Obama was gonna be elected, he ran on hope and change, right? Well, I think that Romney is trying to be just as slick and just as cunning as Obama because he\u2019s just like him. I think he\u2019s a flip-flopper and he\u2019s just like Obama in a lot of aspects, just like with Romneycare and stuff like that.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Okay. Well, then who is the “they” that\u2019s not attacking Romney, that is attacking Cain —<\/line><\/p>\n

CALLER: The mainstream media.<\/p>\n

RUSH: The media.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yes, sir. I think the mainstream media is not attacking Romney because they know that Romney\u2019s the closest thing to Obama —<\/p>\n

RUSH: So if Obama\u2019s to lose, then they want Romney to win \u2019cause he\u2019s the closest?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yes, sir.<\/p>\n

RUSH: That\u2019s what you\u2019re thinking. Okay. So if Obama is to lose, they want Romney in there?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yes, sir. Because he\u2019s got the same — well, not the same exact policies, but close to the same policies.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, I don\u2019t know. I think we gotta be a little bit more open-minded and fair to Obama in this comparison. To be perfectly honest about it, Obama\u2019s not a flip-flopper. <\/p>\n

CALLER: I know that. Romney is.<\/p>\n

RUSH: His socialism and extreme leftism are solid. He never moves off of it.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yes, sir, I know that. But my point was I think that Romney being a flip-flopper shows that we can\u2019t trust him as Americans, and the reason why I think that he\u2019s just like Obama mostly is because if you look at him in the debates he\u2019s real slick, he\u2019s a fast talker, and that\u2019s exactly what Obama was. If you remember, when Obama was running he didn\u2019t say anything about what he really wanted to change. He just said we\u2019re gonna change, we want hope, we want change.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Right.<\/p>\n

CALLER: What has he changed? What have we got hope for these days? <\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, the only problem with your theory is that I don\u2019t think the media is looking at the possibility of any Republican winning.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Well, yeah. I think that as well —<\/p>\n

RUSH: You\u2019ve really insulted them now. You\u2019ve insulted them. You\u2019ve used this show to insult the media, it\u2019s a pretty good insult, too, I mean to tell \u2019em that they\u2019re even pondering the possibility of a Republican winning, that they would support. Those are fighting words. I expect now because of your call, the journalists hearing your call, we\u2019re gonna get some hits on Romney now just to prove you wrong.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Oh, that\u2019s crap. I think the enemy of your enemy is your friend. And I think right now Herman Cain is the enemy of Obama because he\u2019s a black man and he could take away from the black vote from Obama and he actually has substance backing what he\u2019s trying to say.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, look, I said that to be fair to Obama, in comparison to Romney is he\u2019s not a flip-flopper. But on Romney\u2019s side, Romney is much more articulate than Obama. He\u2019s not addicted to teleprompter like Obama is. But the media, there is no period of time, there is no era before Obama. They can\u2019t even ponder such a thing. <\/line><\/p>\n

CALLER: I know.<\/p>\n

RUSH: I also think Hillary Clinton is the white version of Obama, not Romney.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yes, sir, I believe that, too. That she\u2019s the woman white version of Obama.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Yeah.<\/p>\n

CALLER: I think that Romney, he\u2019s just a slick talker, you know? I think he\u2019s just like Obama was when he was trying to run and, like I said, talking about “hope and change,” and what has he changed and what do we have hope for besides a crappy future for kids? And, you know, I\u2019m only 23. I\u2019m a conservative, I\u2019ve never gone to college, and I —<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, you really don\u2019t like Romney. I can tell.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Well, it\u2019s not that I don\u2019t like Romney as a person. I just like Herman Cain. I think everything he\u2019s said and done would be good for the country. You know, minus all the crap that the mainstream media is saying about him about these ladies. I think they\u2019re just trying to pull the wool over our eyes and get us to vote for somebody who\u2019s more like Obama because they know that Herman Cain —<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, what do you think of the media\u2019s effort last night and today to portray Cain as an absolute blithering idiot when it comes to foreign policy, for example? You\u2019ve seen the video.<\/p>\n

CALLER: I think he did the right thing in taking a second to think about what the question was so that way he could answer it in a, you know, truthful, educated way.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Right.<\/p>\n

CALLER: And I think it takes you a couple seconds when somebody throws a question like that out at you that you need to think about what you\u2019re gonna say before you say it.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, he did that. There\u2019s no question.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Exactly.<\/p>\n

RUSH: There\u2019s question. Had Perry not done it beforehand there wouldn\u2019ta been anything to compare it to. You know, Perry couldn\u2019t remember the third federal agency he wanted to shut down in the debate, then here comes Herman Cain with the 11-second pause in his answer on Libya. But it doesn\u2019t sound like any of that phases you. Doesn\u2019t sound like it. In fact, it doesn\u2019t sound to me like there\u2019s much that could happen that would steer you away from Herman Cain.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Well, if it turned out to be factual that these women were telling the truth, that would steer me away from him but that would steer me directly to Newt Gingrich<\/a> because I think he\u2019s the next best person for the job.<\/p>\n

RUSH: A-ha. A-ha! Interesting.<\/p>\n

CALLER: And if I could, between the two, Herman Cain and Newt Gingrich, I think they\u2019d both be great, being the president, but if one of those two did get the vote for electoral, I think that they should work together as in vice president or president, depending on who gets the vote, because I think they can actually talk to each other and they\u2019re on the same page, and they have somewhat the sort of same ideas.<\/p>\n

RUSH: I\u2019m not sure that either of them want to be the veep, but nevertheless, you have an interesting perspective on this. I\u2019m glad you called out there, Chris. I have to take a brief time-out here. (interruption) What? What? Do I think what? (interruption) Do I think Obama was rolling off the mirror? Do I think Obama was wrong on Libya? Yeah. (interruption) Of course I think he was wrong on Libya. (interruption) What, it didn\u2019t take my 11 seconds to come up with that answer? (interruption) No. No, of course he\u2019s wrong on Libya. He\u2019s wrong on the whole “Arab spring” thing. He\u2019s wrong on all of that. (interruption) No! No! All we\u2019ve got is the Muslim Brotherhood rising up against Israel in every one of these countries. That\u2019s what this is all about. (interruption) I don\u2019t know why it didn\u2019t take Herman Cain less than 11 seconds to answer. I don\u2019t have any idea. Don\u2019t know. Anyway, as I say, Chris, thanks for the call.
