RUSH: Santorum has gotten into some trouble here because he claims he\u2019s being misquoted, misrepresented, taken out of context on purpose by the media. Particularly the New York Times. Let\u2019s go Racine, Wisconsin, yesterday during a campaign event. This is Santorum.<\/p>\n

SANTORUM: Why would we put someone up who is uniquely…? Pick any other Republican in the country! He is the worst Republican in the country to put up against Barack Obama. … Why would Wisconsin want to vote for someone like that?<\/p>\n

RUSH: Now, what he claims he was talking about was Romney is the worst of all Republicans because of Romneycare. Romneycare takes Obamacare <\/a>off the table because the regime is out there saying that Obamacare<\/a> got its idea from Romneycare. Romneycare was the inspiration, if you will, for Obamacare. Santorum claims that what he was talking about there was Romney is the worst Republican because of Obamacare and Romneycare. So Jeff Zeleny in the New York Times wrote a piece in which Santorum thought that he was misreported, misrepresented, taken out of context, purposely lied about and all of that. On the rope line yesterday in Racine, after a speech to supporters, Santorum was shaking hands and signing autographs along the rope line. A CBS television camera was there and picked up an exchange between Santorum and Jeff Zeleny of the New York Times. <\/p>\n

Zeleny said, “You said Romney\u2019s the worst Republican in the country. Is that true?”<\/line><\/line><\/p>\n

SANTORUM: Stop lying. I said he was the worst Republican to run on the issue of Obamacare. And that\u00c2\u2019s what I was talking about.<\/p>\n

ZELENY: You said he\u00c2\u2019s the worst Republican —<\/p>\n

SANTORUM: I have said uniquely… For every speech I give, I said he\u2019s uniquely disqualified to run against Barack Obama on the issue of health care. Would you guys quit distorting what I\u2019m saying?<\/p>\n

ZELENY: Do you think he\u2019s the worst Republican —<\/p>\n

SANTORUM: To run against Barack Obama on the issue of health care because he fashioned the blueprint. I\u2019ve been saying it in every speech. Quit distorting our words. If I see it, it\u2019s bull(bleep). Come on, man!<\/p>\n

RUSH: So he just told Zeleny that what he\u2019s writing about in the New York Times is bull-bleep. “Come on, man!” Taking it to Jeff Zeleny, New York Times. Zeleny loves this! The media, they don\u2019t care if they write about you and upset you. They love it when you get upset. They love it when they tick you off. They love it when they think they\u2019ve taken you off your game. Santorum\u2019s not apologizing for saying bull-bleep to Zeleny. He thinks the Romney campaign is behind this. This was this morning on Fox & Friends, Gretchen Carlson said, “You used the BS word! If you could have it back, would you do the same thing? Is that the level of frustration where you finally just let it out?”<\/p>\n

SANTORUM: Yeah, you know, uh, if you haven\u2019t cursed out a New York Times reporter during the course of a campaign, you\u2019re not really a real Republican is the way I look at it. They had the (snickers) Romney press secretary in the back of the room spinning these guys, and he\u2019s out there just sort of parroting this. And, you know, I had already answered the question a couple of times and he comes back at me again, and I\u2019m not gonna keep doing this.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Yeah, he\u2019s gonna call him on it. Now, let\u2019s move forward here to audio sound bite number nine. David Plouffe, Obama\u2019s campaign strategerist. This is yesterday morning on Meet the Depressed. David Gregory is talking to Plouffe, and they\u2019re having a discussion about opposition to health care reform. Gregory said, “[Y]ou\u2019re not really winning the argument. Do you feel like you\u2019re winning the argument in terms of public approval for it?”<\/p>\n

PLOUFFE: By the end of this decade we\u2019re gonna be glad the Republicans called this Obamacare, because when the reality of health care is in place… But, listen, if Mitt Romney… By the way Mitt Romney is the godfather of our health care plan. Okay? If he\u2019s president — remarkably he\u2019s running away from that past — and he\u2019s gonna say he\u2019s gonna try and throw all this away, we\u2019re gonna have big fight about health care again. We know we\u2019re have to do this for our economy, for our deficits, for the health and safety of the American people.<\/p>\n

<\/a>RUSH: There you have it! David Plouffe of the regime saying Romneycare is Obamacare. “Mitt Romney\u2019s the godfather of our health care plan.” They finally admitted it. Actually, they\u2019ve it said before, but this is just out in the open now. “Mitt Romney is the godfather of our health care plan,” and that\u2019s Santorum\u2019s point. And this is why a lot of people think that the regime wants to run against Romney, that he\u2019s the guy. Occupy Wall Street was about running against Romney, and now they\u2019re out there saying that Romney\u2019s the godfather of Obamacare. That\u2019s to take the issue off the table. Go back and get sound bite number eight very quickly, \u2019cause Santorum said if you haven\u2019t criticized the New York Times, you\u2019re really not a real Republican. <\/p>\n

CHENEY: Oh, yeah, big time.<\/p>\n
