CALLER: You got me thinking yesterday. I\u2019ve been dying to talk to you. I was gonna call Hannity and Laura Ingraham, but I thought, “No, you\u2019re the only person who could talk in these terms.” I\u2019m a social psych major and a nurse. And I worked in human services with people for years and years and years, and not rich people so they would get themselves in trouble. But the one thing they will have in common usually is they had a personality disorder that… You know, and people can have \u2019em on a scale of one to ten. You know, I mean, you know, different skills, and you can function. But when they got older, it got harder and harder for them to function. So —<\/p>\n
CALLER: Well…<\/p>\n
RUSH: Just kidding! I\u2019m just kidding. He would have been perfect. He could have answered this just fine and dandy for you, but I\u2019m glad you called me.<\/p>\n
CALLER: Well, I wanted to hear what you had to say, \u2019cause you can talk to the everyday person more. I didn\u2019t know if he wanted to deal with that. Anyway, I started writing down things you were saying about the administration and Obama in clinical terms. And I came up with symptoms, and he has visions of grandeur.<\/p>\n
RUSH: Yeah.<\/p>\n
CALLER: He has delusions. He\u2019s delusional about himself, and delusional about what he can do to the United States.<\/p>\n
RUSH: You know better than I. If you\u2019re a psych major, you know better. My opinion is that he\u2019s a guy who\u2019s been sheltered and protected and told he\u2019s special all his life and really never been told “no” on major things. He\u2019s had the way paved for him because he\u2019s special and has had a lot of hangers on. And by the same token when he runs into genuine opposition, he doesn\u2019t like it. It\u2019s not that he doesn\u2019t understand it. He doesn\u2019t like it. He considers it insolence and lashes out at it, and I think liberalism itself is a personality disorder, just to start with. But I think he\u2019s got all the symptoms of narcissism without any question about it. But you, actually, as the psych major would be qualified to say it. I\u2019m glad you called, though.
