CALLER: How you doing, Rush?<\/p>\n

RUSH: Excellent, sir, to outstanding now and then.<\/p>\n

CALLER: That\u2019s good. I love your show. Hey, I just thought that the Republicans really should start a new movement considering the Buffett Rule<\/a>. And one of the few times that I agree with President Obama in “fairness,” is we\u2019re taxed right now at about 30% rate, and of course the wealthy and the rich are saying is quite a bit below that. So, hey, my thoughts are: “Hey, let\u2019s keep it fair. Let\u2019s keep the rich where they are, considering, you know, they basically do it all. They promote jobs and, you know, create wealth in the United States. And why didn\u2019t they just take our 30% rate and bring us down to 20%,” and then everybody\u2019s gonna be happy. The liberals will be happy, \u2019cause everybody\u2019s fair.<\/line><\/p>\n

RUSH: No. Too low.<\/p>\n

CALLER: It will be a dream, Rush. I\u2019ll have more money in my pocket. I can buy some of your tea.<\/p>\n

RUSH: The big flaw. (laughing)<\/p>\n

CALLER: (chuckling)<\/p>\n

<\/a>RUSH: A case of tea is $19.99<\/a>. I mean, even the unemployed can afford that. Food stamp people can. We don\u2019t take food stamps, but the unemployed can afford $19.99. Don\u2019t forget our great sponsor, the Marine Corps-Law Enforcement Foundation<\/a>, too. But the big flaw in your argument is that the liberals would be “happy. ” Nothing will make them happy. Maybe for a couple minutes, but they\u2019re not happy. If everybody has the same rate, they won\u2019t be happy. They don\u2019t want “equality.” They claim they do, but they don\u2019t. They don\u2019t want “fairness.” They claim they do, but they don\u2019t. They want inequality, and they want unfairness on the people they wanna punish, which is most everybody. But I understand the FairTax, flat tax. Everybody charged the same thing and we\u2019re all equal in this, and make it work on the spending side. And I couldn\u2019t agree more.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
