The NAGs are having some meeting in May oriented around getting rid of me. It\u2019s the National Organization for Women with a big convention oriented around me.<\/p>\n<p>The objective is to get rid of me.  I looked at it, and I said, &#8220;These poor women. They must be running out of money and members,&#8221; \u2019cause that\u2019s all this is.  Don\u2019t worry about it, folks. It\u2019s just a fundraising drive.  I am a fundraising magnet.  I mean, I\u2019m the best thing that ever happened to magazine fundraisers.  The NAGs are obvious running low on cash and their membership is probably not all that hot to trot, either. So they drag me out. This is not the first time. Drag me out in a Hush Rush, Get Rush convention and raise your fundraising. That\u2019s what going on.  But people were e-mailing me worried silly. &#8220;Whoa, Rush, when are they gonna stop coming after you?&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" src=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/ykwAQl80Y8o\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>BREAK TRANSCRIPT<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: How can the NAGs attack me after calling me God\u2019s gift to women?  You know, they did that. I don\u2019t know if we have that audio. (interruption) It\u2019s \u2019cause women can change their minds?  Is that it?  I guess so.  Did we have audio of that, or was it just a printed report where one of these women said that? During the contraception craze, controversy, they called me &#8212; some fundraiser, some feminist fundraiser &#8212; said I\u2019m God\u2019s gift to women, or God\u2019s gift to their organization. <\/p>\n<p>At any rate, the National Organization for Women&#8230; (interruption)<\/p>\n<p>Why would men want to crash it, Snerdley?  I don\u2019t think so. I\u2019m sure Alan Alda\u2019s invited.  I haven\u2019t seen anything about that.  I assume men can go.  The head NAG, Terry O\u2019Neill, said, &#8220;The work we have ahead of us is not gonna be easy.  Right now it really seems like, you know, we\u2019ve got this godsend named Rush Limbaugh&#8230;&#8221; That\u2019s it. That\u2019s it. &#8220;[W]e\u2019ve got this godsend named Rush Limbaugh&#8230;&#8221; She actually said it. The head NAG, who is running their convention in May to get rid of me, said that I\u2019m a godsend. &#8221; The work we have ahead of us is not gonna be easy.  Right now it really seems like, you know, we\u2019ve got this godsend named Rush Limbaugh&#8230;&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>So I was God\u2019s gift to the NAGs not long ago.  Now they\u2019re gonna have a convention to get rid of me. (laughing)<\/p>\n<p>BREAK TRANSCRIPT<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: This is from March the 10th in New Orleans.  The National Organization for Women Mid-South Regional Conference, the NOW president Terry O\u2019Neill delivered the keynote address.  We have the really only important thing that she had to say.<\/p>\n<p>O\u2019NEILL:  The work we have ahead of us is not gonna be easy.  Right now it really seems like, you know, we\u2019ve got this godsend named Rush Limbaugh &#8212;<\/p>\n<p>NAGS: (giggling)<\/p>\n<p>WOMAN: Wooo!<\/p>\n<p>O\u2019NEILL: &#8212; who has, like dropped this thing in our lap, which is just wonderful.  But the road ahead is really not gonna be completely rosy.  We\u2019ve got to be very clear on what the challenges are, and very clear about how we can move our own agenda forward in the current political climate.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH:  There you have it: &#8220;godsend named Rush Limbaugh.&#8221; <\/p>\n<p>So I was God\u2019s gift to the NAGs back on March 10th.  And now in May they\u2019re gonna convene again &#8212; another convention &#8212; this time to get rid of me.  God\u2019s gift to women. (chuckles) See, this is how quickly you can lose favor with them.
