RUSH: I\u2019m gonna break this down in even more detail as the program unfolds. Lugar<\/a> has issued a very lengthy and quite telling statement. Lugar is comparing his defeat to the end of reason, the end of the Republican Party, the end of compromise, the end of people working together. Lugar is saying that his defeat is a bad thing. It is gonna lead to partisanship and rancor.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s gonna lead to the end. The Senate is gonna descend now. It\u2019s not gonna be nearly the august body it has been. Not because he\u2019s not there. He\u2019s not that kind of an ego guy. It\u2019s clear he\u2019s a moderate, establishment guy who doesn\u2019t want to argue with anybody about anything. He\u2019s not a conservative, and he\u2019s part of Republican establishment that thinks conservatives are the problem, not Democrats.<\/p>\n

There\u2019s a headline from the Associated Press, dateline Washington. Kasie Hunt is the authoress. The headline says it all: “Primaries Reflect Conservative Enthusiasm for 2012.” This was not what they were expecting to write today. I guarantee you. I think maybe down deep (in parts of their bodies and their minds that they seldom really tap into), they know. They know the country doesn\u2019t want any more of them. They know the country doesn\u2019t want any more of Obama.<\/line><\/p>\n

But they\u2019ve got the media on their side. They read the media every day; they watch television every day. They live in a world where an entirely fraudulent picture of this country is presented every day, and they end up believing it. So in part they are shocked and surprised. Richard Lugar has lived in the Washington suburbs since 1977, since he was elected to the Senate. He doesn\u2019t have a residence in Indiana.<\/p>\n

That\u2019s what I call REAL inside the Beltway.<\/p>\n

But even so — even so, ladies and gentlemen — we probably have to admit that Dick Lugar is more of an Indianan than Elizabeth Warren is an Indian, even though he\u2019s not got a residence there.<\/p>\n

BREAK TRANSCRIPT<\/p>\n

RUSH: So the big news yesterday was two things. The evidence that the Tea Party is alive and kicking and ready to make 2012 look just like 2010. Because that\u2019s what yesterday was. Yesterday was the continuation of the 2010 midterm elections. The Democrats in some places, Democrat voters, launched a war on Obama. The Democrats did not turn out in Wisconsin, despite millions of dollars spent by unions.<\/p>\n

Republicans turned out in greater numbers to vote for Scott Walker when they didn\u2019t need to. He wasn\u2019t challenged. There was no reason for Republicans to show up whatsoever. Why did they, then? Why did more people vote for Scott Walker yesterday in Wisconsin than the two Democrats (who are in a very heated contest) combined? The answer is simple: Republicans are waiting to be unleashed! Conservatives, more specifically, are fed up. Conservatives are fit to be tied.<\/p>\n

They\u2019re angry as how they\u2019re being portrayed in the media. They\u2019re angry at how Obama\u2019s being propped up. They\u2019re angry at the lack of truth being reported about their country. They can\u2019t wait to show up and show the rest of the country what\u2019s really going on. They can\u2019t wait to prove who they are and who this country is. That\u2019s why Republican turnout\u2019s through it roof. That\u2019s why conservative turnout is through the roof.<\/p>\n

People love their country, and this is how they show it. This is how they answer all the lies, the misrepresentations, all of the faux journalism that\u2019s taking place. “Okay, you want some reality? Here\u2019s an election. Take this!” <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
