<\/p>\nRUSH: There are a couple stories in the Stack here, and this is such a trick. There\u2019s a story about health care, about how if it\u2019s repealed, some people are going to lose a trillion dollars, health care organizations and so forth. They are counting money they don\u2019t even have yet and assuming they\u2019re going to lose it. The whole point is to make sure they don\u2019t get the trillion dollars because we don\u2019t have it. In the meantime, a Catholic organization, school, church, whatever it is, Catholic, small university has canceled its health care plan because it will not implement the demands of Obama on contraception, and so people that have their health care plans through that Catholic organization are gonna lose their health care. <\/p>\n

And the point of that is that Obama\u2019s out there promising everybody, “If you like your plan, you get to keep it.” That was one of his big sales pitches during the whole debate leading up to the vote on Obamacare, and it certainly isn\u2019t true. It\u2019s the Franciscan University of Steubenville. They\u2019re out of there. And everybody who has health insurance through the Franciscan University of Steubenville is gonna lose it because they refuse to implement and compromise their religious independence and liberty. They refuse to implement Obama\u2019s health care rules on contraception. So people there are gonna lose their plan. They like their plan, they\u2019re going to lose it. But this Catholic organization is staying true to its vows, if you will. <\/p>\n

RUSH: By the way, the Franciscan University of Steubenville is saying Obamacare is going to triple their costs, the cost of premiums. Obamacare will triple the cost of premiums. They can\u2019t afford it. The people that work for \u2019em and get their health care through them can\u2019t afford it. They\u2019re outta there. Now, the media is trying to make this sound like it\u2019s just a matter of the Catholics being stubborn, the Catholics stubbornly sticking to their beliefs in an old-fashioned, worn-out, out-of-touch manner. And plus, of course, they\u2019re being stubborn because they have this silly point they have to prove about Obama. <\/p>\n
So this church, this university, sticking to its guns, its vows, it\u2019s principles, is under assault now from the mainstream media. But the Franciscan University of Steubenville said that the students basic $600 policy was going to double in cost in the fall and triple next year and that the school\u2019s insurance provider said that the increases were the result of the federal Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, that\u2019s Obamacare. Premiums will triple, $600 to $1800 by next year until the thing is repealed. <\/p>\n

Now, Grover Norquist has his no-tax pledge. A group out there has a repeal Obamacare pledge that they\u2019re asking candidates to sign. Deb Fischer signed it. And so that group is making hay that their repeal Obamacare pledge is resonating with voters. But the point is no matter where you go there are people actively working to get this repealed, thrown out, defeated, what have you. Somebody like Deb Fischer comes along and there are a lot of people that want to claim responsibility for it. You know, success has many fathers. Failure is an orphan. But the fact of the matter is that as we get closer and closer to the reality of Obamacare being fully implemented, people are rising up in every which way they can as to say “no” to it and to stop it. And this Franciscan University of Steubenville is just one example of countless hundreds of thousands that will have the same thing happen to them. <\/p>\n
Everybody\u2019s premiums are gonna go up. Maybe not triple, maybe quadruple in some cases, but they\u2019re gonna go up, they\u2019re gonna skyrocket, and if you like your plan, you are not gonna be able to keep it because what is proven here by the Franciscan University of Steubenville. Do not doubt me on this. The whole purpose — and you know this; we talked about this before Obamacare was even voted on. One of the substantive objectives of Obamacare is to wipe out the private sector health insurance industry. Obamacare and the Democrats want single payer. They want government-run, government-sponsored, government paid-for health care. They want you having no other option than a federal or state exchange for your health insurance. But they can\u2019t come out and say that. They wouldn\u2019t get a single vote on the Republican side. They\u2019d get some Democrat votes for it, but they can\u2019t come out and say that they want to eliminate the option for citizens to buy health insurance in the private market. <\/p>\n
So what do they do? That\u2019s the purpose of the fines, by the way, for not having health insurance. The fines are so low you choose the fine rather than buy — (interruption) Obama said to the SEIU, “We can\u2019t do this all at once.” It\u2019s going to take us 10 or 15 years to make this happen through evolution. It\u2019s gonna have to evolve to this point. But the reason the fines are so low is to make the fines more attractive than having a policy. If a policy costs you $1500 and the fine costs you $500, what are you gonna do? If you\u2019re young especially. You\u2019re gonna pay the $500 fine. But you\u2019re not buying insurance. Therefore, you are not in the market. Therefore, an insurance company\u2019s not benefiting from your fine. The government is. The whole point of this is to wipe out the private sector insurance industry and having universities like the Franciscan University of Steubenville pull out is exactly the objective. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
