RUSH: Here\u2019s a story. It\u2019s a UK Telegraph story. This story convinces me that I\u2019m right, even though I don\u2019t need to be convinced that I\u2019m right. But nevertheless the story does. I believe that Obama\u2019s internal poll numbers are bad, I think they have been bad for a long time, and I think they are deteriorating because I don\u2019t think the White House would have allowed this statement to be made. It will be interesting to see how widespread this news ends up being. <\/p>\n
They haven\u2019t gotten close to saying anything like this. In fact, this administration is more popularly known for telling Israel: If you go in there, we are not gonna help you. If you move into Iran, we\u2019re not gonna be there to help you, and we are not gonna back you up, and we are gonna be highly critical of it if you do. And now all of a sudden they have authorized our ambassador to Israel to tell Tehran that we have a full-fledged military plan ready to implement. That is election-year stuff, and if they\u2019re popping it out now on May 17th, my instincts are that their internal polling numbers are not well and are deteriorating to boot.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Look, the new plan that the regime has had our ambassador to Israel announce, that we\u2019ve got a full-fledged military plan ready to go to launch against Iran, I know what this is. So many people have e-mailed me, “Rush, don\u2019t you understand?” I know exactly what it is. The plan is to open up Jewish donor pocketbooks and checkbooks, just as Obama made a statement on gay marriage and money started flooding in from gay activists. Obama\u2019s in trouble with the Jewish vote because of the stance he\u2019s had on Israel. So this news report that\u2019s in the UK Telegraph about having a full-fledged military plan ready to go if Iran doesn\u2019t shape up and having our Israeli ambassador announce it, it\u2019s an appeal to Jewish donors.
