CALLER: Howdy, Rush. How you doing?<\/p>\n

RUSH: Very well, sir. Thank you. How are you?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Pretty good. Been working, busy lately.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Been busy?<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yep.<\/p>\n

RUSH: That\u2019s better than being bored.<\/p>\n

CALLER: I know it.<\/p>\n

RUSH: You\u2019re 17, it says here. Is that right?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yes, sir, it is.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Seventeen years old. Well, I\u2019m flattered that you are listening to the program at age 17. That\u2019s cool.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yeah, I\u2019ve been listening since I was nine. I just wanted to call you and tell you what an impact you\u2019ve made on my life. I\u2019ve been into politics since I was probably about 12 and —<\/p>\n

RUSH: What was it, your parents listened and you heard it that way?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yep. They\u2019ve been listening since as long as I can remember, but I started really listening and comprehending at nine.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Wow. I started comprehending around nine or ten, the Kennedy campaign, Kennedy-Nixon, \u201960. I was nine years old. That\u2019s my first real active memory of comprehending what was going on, or at least being at the outset of it, so I know exactly how you feel. It\u2019s exciting, isn\u2019t it —<\/p>\n

<\/a>CALLER: Yes.<\/p>\n

RUSH: — when you understand this stuff and get a feel for what\u2019s happening and can explain it to people?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yeah. Yeah, I\u2019ve got a lot of friends, you know, and sometimes they\u2019re kind of more toward the Republican establishment, and I try to keep them back on the conservative trail, using a lot of your arguments, and you just really help and all the things you say on the radio and —<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, that\u2019s cool. That\u2019s awesome.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yeah. <\/p>\n

RUSH: Do you succeed?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Generally. Sometimes. There\u2019s a few who don\u2019t like to listen all the time, but —<\/p>\n

RUSH: Where is this, at school where this happens?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Well, actually I\u2019m homeschooled, but there\u2019s a lot of friends I have outside of, you know, just —<\/p>\n

RUSH: How many of your friends — you\u2019re 17 — how many of your friends are interested in politics, affairs of state, that kind of thing?<\/p>\n

CALLER: There\u2019s a couple in particular, but actually there\u2019s a few I brought some Limbaugh Letters that I\u2019ve got, and I let \u2019em read through those. And they actually read those and they got a lot more interested in it and I\u2019ve —<\/p>\n

RUSH: I need to hire you as a PR agent. Are you making copies of the Limbaugh Letter,<\/a> or are you giving them yours?<\/p>\n

CALLER: No, actually what I do is my grandpa gets \u2019em, and then he gives \u2019em to me and I give \u2019em out to them, you know, loan \u2019em out.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, I mean, you are the kind of guy, believe me, that people in this audience love hearing, because you\u2019re the future. When people like you call at your age, what we all hope is that you are able to maintain your interest in this, and we all hope that by the time you go away to college, some professor\u2019s not gonna get a hold of you and turn you into a commie guy.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Oh, yeah. Actually, I\u2019d like to go to Hillsdale. I just took their course on the Constitution, their free Constitution course.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Wow! My gosh, you are a devotee. I don\u2019t think the left can get you if you\u2019ve done that. If you took the Hillsdale course, we own you.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yeah.<\/p>\n

RUSH: That\u2019s cool.<\/p>\n

CALLER: I don\u2019t intend to turn.<\/p>\n

RUSH: That\u2019s good. That\u2019s good. Well, look. I want to make you a subscriber so you have your own copy of the Limbaugh Letter.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Okay.<\/p>\n

RUSH: So you don\u2019t have to wait for grandpa. Do you have a computer? Do you surf the Web?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yeah.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, if you had your druthers, would you want a laptop computer, or say an iPad? I know it\u2019s a tough call. I know it\u2019s a tough decision.<\/p>\n

<\/a>CALLER: I don\u2019t know. Probably an iPad. That would be fine. I never had one.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Have you ever used one?<\/p>\n

CALLER: I have not. I know a friend who does. I\u2019ve seen it.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, we\u2019ll fix that. All right, so I\u2019m gonna — you want a black one? Well, wait a minute, do we have any black ones left back there? Engraved? I don\u2019t think we do. I think the only engraved ones we\u2019ve got are white, but that\u2019s okay. You\u2019re a beggar, you can\u2019t be a chooser.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yeah.<\/p>\n

RUSH: I\u2019m just teasing. You haven\u2019t begged for anything. I want you to hang on after we go to the break here and Mr. Snerdley will get your address and we\u2019ll send you an iPad. We\u2019ll make you a subscriber to the other stuff, too.<\/p>\n
