<\/p>\nRUSH: Scott Walker, the Wisconsin recall vote. It will be this time next week, June 5, this time next week. And it is increasingly clear, folks, the Democrats think they\u2019re gonna lose, and it\u2019s been that way for a couple of weeks. First the DNC pulled their money out of Wisconsin. Then Debbie “Blabbermouth” Schultz started saying, (imitating Schultz) “Well, it doesn\u2019t mean anything. I mean, Wisconsin\u2019s a standalone. Nothing really to learn there.” And then out the other side of her mouth she says something entirely different. Debbie “Blabbermouth” Schultz. She runs the Democrat National Committee. Really outdoing herself. She told C-SPAN a couple of days ago that a loss for the Democrat candidate in Wisconsin wouldn\u2019t have any implications for other races. No, even the presidential race, that doesn\u2019t mean anything. <\/p>\n

Folks, they put everything they had — this was the unions\u2019 last stand. This recall election, they failed at every recall they tried. They tried to recall the legislature. They tried to recall judges. They\u2019ve done everything they could, the unions and Democrats, have done everything they could to get rid of Scott Walker, Republicans elsewhere in government to reverse Walker\u2019s policies. She said on C-SPAN, Debbie Wasserman Schultz, “I think honestly there aren\u2019t gonna be any repercussions. It\u2019s an election that based in Wisconsin.” <\/p>\n
But then she went to CNN. She was on CNN, I think it was Sunday morning on State of the Union with Candy Crowley. Candy Crowley asked her about the Wisconsin recall. “So there\u2019s a recall movement, sitting governor, but he\u2019s now leading in the polls up there, and you\u2019ve said you don\u2019t think there\u2019s national implications to this, and yet you\u2019re gonna spend some of your time up there fundraising for the Democrat who\u2019s challenging Walker. If the Republican governor should retain his seat up there, what will it say about the power of unions who\u2019ve been fighting him, and what will it say about putting Wisconsin in play this fall, maybe going for Romney?”<\/p>\n
SCHULTZ: Well, I am going there Tuesday to campaign with Mayor Barrett. I think that he has a real opportunity to win. Ultimately I think Tom Barrett will pull this out, but regardless it\u2019s given the Obama for America operation an opportunity to do the dry run that we need of our massive significant dynamic grassroots presidential campaign which can\u2019t really be matched by the Romney campaign or the Republicans because they\u2019ve ignored on-the-ground operations.<\/p>\n
RUSH: Right. Which is it? Two days prior to this on C-SPAN, “Nah, doesn\u2019t mean anything. It\u2019s a stand-alone election. It\u2019s just what\u2019s going on in Wisconsin.” Now on CNN, somebody got hold of her, somebody said, “Blabbermouth, what are you doing to us?” Now all of a sudden Wisconsin\u2019s a referendum. Now it\u2019s a dry run. Now it\u2019s a test run of their massive, dynamic grassroots presidential campaign which Romney can\u2019t match. You ever heard of the Tea Party, Debbie? Now, I know she\u2019s gotta say this stuff, but I think these people are delusional, fully delusional. This Wisconsin race, I can\u2019t tell you how this has upset \u2019em. Getting rid of Walker was gonna be easy, and it\u2019s history repeating itself, because they go into all of these elections this way, the unions gonna win big, Democrat state, always has been. But nothing\u2019s gone the way they figure. <\/p>\n
