RUSH: I watched something fascinating last night. You know, my brother has got a book out. The name of the book is The Great Destroyer<\/a>. And it is a compendium of virtually everything Obama has done and said that gives away who he is and what\u2019s ahead and in store for us if he\u2019s reelected.<\/p>\n

David was to appear on Hannity last night, which he did. But Hannity led off with a focus group from somewhere in Wisconsin <\/a>with Frank Luntz. And I watched that with my mouth wide open. Did you see that? Any of you see this? Ho-ho. Ho-ho-ho-ho, folks. If this is the best Luntz could do, I\u2019m just gonna tell you… No, I ought to not say this. You\u2019re supposed to get a focus group that\u2019s a cross-section of the state, that is representative of a whole bunch of demographic and ideological-type breakdowns.<\/p>\n

<\/a><\/p>\n

But I swear, 80% of these people were union people, and they didn\u2019t care what fact was thrown at them. It didn\u2019t matter. “Walker\u2019s gotta go!” He could be Jesus Christ, they could be devout Catholics, and he\u2019s gotta go. It was the most incredible thing. I found it difficult to believe this was actually a cross-section of the population of Wisconsin. These people were as brain-dead as any. They were programmed partisans.<\/p>\n

No matter what they were hit with, the answer was, “Well, Walker doesn\u2019t care about us.” And, “He just did that to make it look good, but it really isn\u2019t any better. Our taxes really haven\u2019t come down. They\u2019re just saying that. And the unemployment rate hasn\u2019t really come down. They\u2019re just saying that. And there are people losing their jobs. That\u2019s a lie. Walker is firing people.”<\/p>\n

None of it\u2019s true.<\/p>\n

It was the most… You talk about a partisan divide? It illustrated why there\u2019s no compromise with this, folks. There\u2019s just defeat. There wasn\u2019t a person in that focus group who was opposed to Scott Walker <\/a>who could have been reached with the truth. If Moses had personally delivered the Ten Commandments last night, they wouldn\u2019t have believed it. They would have thought it was a Scott Walker “trick.” They\u2019ve been programmed to think this by their unions and so forth.<\/p>\n

It was classic.<\/p>\n

There\u2019s no compromise with these people.<\/line><\/p>\n

There is no middle ground.<\/p>\n

There\u2019s no great, independent middle and no way to reach across the aisle.<\/p>\n

These people, the ones I saw, were a combination of hatred, obstinance, stubbornness, ignorance, and total resistance to anything factual. And you can hear it. We have lots of stuff. I want to play the David sound bite, \u2019cause this is quite telling. My brother, talking about his book, actually said… ‘Cause he wrote the book; he wrote it in 5-1\/2 months. You know, when you write a book and you go on TV to talk about it, it\u2019s tough to remember everything, even in your own book when you wrote it.<\/p>\n

<\/a>So he went back and reviewed his own book and outlined it to get ready for some of these interviews, and he had forgotten how bad it was even though he wrote it! Here\u2019s how he described that. Hannity said, “I almost call the book ‘encyclopedic\u2019 because it\u2019s chapter and verse on Obama\u2019s presidency. I found there was so much I forgot about Obama. Do you think people forget?\u2019<\/p>\n

DAVID LIMBAUGH: No question. We\u2019ve almost become numb to it because there\u2019s such an overwhelming amount of evidence of the things that he\u2019s done. This is almost humorous. When I finished writing the book I had probably 12,000 articles and 57 folders. I\u2019m not exaggerating. It was overwhelming. I wrote the book in 5-1\/2 months; went through the editing process. Then I started reading it and preparing for these interviews, and I was overwhelmed reading it again! There is so much that he\u2019s done.<\/p>\n

RUSH: He was overwhelmed. He wrote the book and he couldn\u2019t believe all that was in it. He couldn\u2019t believe how much stuff there was. It\u2019s impossible to remember it all. I probably come as close to anybody doing that as anybody else out there.<\/p>\n

BREAK TRANSCRIPT<\/p>\n

RUSH: You know, my brother is my brother, and you would expect me to be upbeat and positive about the book, but I\u2019m gonna tell you something: What he said is true. He gives, in this book… Again, the title of the book is The Great Destroyer: Barack Obama\u2019s War on the Republic. But if you just search “The Great Destroyer<\/a>” on Amazon or Barnes & Noble or wherever, it\u2019ll turn up. He gives 150 reasons why Obama needs to go — which is amazing, because off the top of my head, I can only come up with 140.<\/p>\n

And that\u2019s the beauty of the book.<\/p>\n

Do you ever run into people like the ones I saw on that Hannity show last night, the Frank Luntz focus group? I\u2019ll bet you do. I know how frustrating it is. I run into \u2019em now and then, too. But I bet you run into \u2019em constantly. It\u2019s like talking to brick walls. But if you want to have at your fingertips, from start to present, everything that Obama has done, said, or proposed that we oppose — that frightens us, that lets everybody who doesn\u2019t know what\u2019s going on know where this country\u2019s headed — this book has it in one place.<\/p>\n

Hannity called it “encyclopedic.” That\u2019s good. It\u2019s a compendium as well. It\u2019s footnoted out the wazoo. All the sources are there for this thing. It really is like a handbook, except it\u2019s full-fledged hardcover size. It\u2019s like a handbook of everything that you would need at your disposal. It\u2019s like even after you read it, there\u2019s so much, you\u2019re going to forget all of it. You\u2019ll have to have the book nearby for reference purposes.
