RUSH: This is Trey Gowdy. Trey Gowdy is from South Carolina. He\u2019s a Republican on Darrell Issa\u2019s committee. He was on last night with Greta Van Susteren, and she said: “Leader Pelosi [of the Planet Stupider] said this vote for contempt is a Republican plan to suppress the vote. Her theory, I guess, is you\u2019re trying to get rid of the attorney general because he\u2019s aggressively going out there fighting a suppression of the vote. What is your reaction to that?”<\/p>\n

<\/a>CONGRESSMAN GOWDY: I could not believe it when I heard her saying that. Is that all you have to come back with? It\u2019s really beneath the office of a member of Congress to say something that outrageous, and the fact that she was once the Speaker is mind-numbing. Honestly — and I have heard a lot in my sixteen years as a prosecutor. I couldn\u2019t believe the words coming out of her mouth. But keep in mind, Greta, this is the same woman who said she could have arrested Karl Rove any day she wanted to. I don\u2019t know what was wrong with her yesterday or today or whenever she said that, but I would schedule an appointment with my doctor if she thinks that we\u2019re doing this to suppress votes this fall. That is mind-numbingly stupid.<\/p>\n

RUSH: We go back and forth: Does she really believe it? The jury\u2019s still out, like in the Sandusky case. “Is she really this stupid?” It\u2019s entirely possible.<\/line><\/p>\n
