CALLER: I\u2019m excited. I have something here that I don\u2019t think you might be aware of.<\/p>\n
RUSH: Ah, ah, ah, a very dangerous thing to say. You think you\u2019ve got something I might not be aware of?<\/p>\n

RUSH: Okay, try me.<\/p>\n
CALLER: And don\u2019t fight me on this.<\/p>\n
RUSH: Okay.<\/p>\n
CALLER: Okay, this is about our buddy who has done it again. He has gone and praised the Islamist takeover. It says here, he congratulated Egypt\u2019s president-elect Mohammed Morsi —<\/p>\n
RUSH: Morsi, that\u2019s right.<\/p>\n
RUSH: It\u2019s even more hideous than you know. This is the new president of Egypt. He\u2019s from the Brotherhood. It was a military coup, per se, and if you remember, the Arab Spring was characterized as a breakout of democracy, freedom, all that wonderful stuff. And getting rid of Mubarak and that\u2019s what the Arab Spring was, was gonna happen. Now what\u2019s happened is that a Sharia Islamist has won the election in Egypt, no democracy, he\u2019s gonna follow the course that has taken place in Turkey over the last ten years. You can almost say he\u2019s gonna follow the Obama course.<\/p>\n
The prime minister in Turkey is an Islamic supremacist by the name of Erdogan, and it\u2019s taken him ten years of gradualism to return Turkey to the Islamist camp. Basically he has perverted, subverted all of the intentions of a predecessor by the name of Ataturk. Ataturk wanted a moderate regime that was not Islamist or Sharia in nature. And Obama did call the guy and congratulate him. Obama called the Brotherhood guy and congratulated him.<\/p>\n
Now, there\u2019s a step here that everybody is missing. My buddy Andy McCarthy had a story at The Corner at National Review today. “Obama Administration: ‘Imperative\u2019 that Egyptian Military Hand Over Power to Islamic Supremacist President.” Obama and Hillary are demanding now that the Egyptian military, which was running the country, hand over power to this elected president, to the Muslim Brotherhood guy. Obama and Hillary are demanding that everybody get out of the way for the Muslim Brotherhood guy. It\u2019s a myth. It isn\u2019t gonna help democracy. The Muslim Brotherhood\u2019s not about democracy. They\u2019re about Sharia. This is about taking Egypt, as I was just saying, in the direction of Turkey.<\/p>\n
Look, I have to take a break here. I\u2019m really up against it on time. This is a complex thing but we try to make it understandable. I\u2019ll give it a shot when we come back.<\/p>\n
