RUSH: Yes. I appreciate that.<\/p>\n
RUSH: Normally what will happen in a situation like that, is that you\u2019ll have a driver\u2019s license. And that pretty much closes the deal, whether you\u2019re a citizen or not. Not always. He-he-he-he. Not always. But usually. And then they say, “License and registration,” demand to see your insurance. There\u2019s a lot of stuff that — they don\u2019t have to ask you if you\u2019re a citizen per se. Don\u2019t have ask you to prove your citizenship per se. Theoretically if you have a driver\u2019s license you\u2019ve accomplished that.<\/p>\n
CALLER: But it might be expired or a woman could have left it in her other handbag, things like that happen, so they\u2019ve just gotta ask those people, and if they do they\u2019re showing that they\u2019re, you know, enforcing the law —<\/p>\n
RUSH: So you\u2019re offering them a suggestion here?<\/p>\n
CALLER: I am, sir, I am.<\/p>\n
RUSH: Sort of like patting down grandmothers at airports.<\/p>\n
CALLER: A little bit like that, but it\u2019s not quite as intrusive.<\/p>\n
RUSH: Pat down grandmothers, you look up their skirts and that shows you\u2019re not biased.<\/p>\n
CALLER: Exactly.<\/p>\n
RUSH: Yeah. Okay. Well, we\u2019ll pass it on. We have a lot of people in that bureaucracy that listen to the program, but I mean to show that they\u2019re avoiding being accused of targeting Muslim terrorists, you make grandmother lift her skirt. It works.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Today, Janet Napolitano, in the wake of the Supreme Court Ruling… “The Obama administration said it is suspending existing agreements with Arizona police over enforcement of federal immigration laws, and said it has issued a directive telling federal authorities to decline many of the calls reporting illegal immigrants that the Homeland Security Department may get from Arizona police.” Janet Napolitano has just sent out a directive: Don\u2019t call us, Arizona. We\u2019re suspending whatever agreements we had with you.<\/p>\n
Don\u2019t call us about illegals.<\/p>\n
We\u2019re not helping you enforce federal immigration law.<\/p>\n
“[F]ederal authorities to decline many of the calls reporting illegal immigrants…” Stop and think of that. Just today, after the Supreme Court decision, Napolitano tells Arizona: “Don\u2019t call us anymore!” Arizona can\u2019t do anything about it, the Supreme Court decision today, and the Feds have just said (paraphrased), “Don\u2019t call us. We\u2019re not doing anything about it.” So Arizona is an open border. “Drop dead! We\u2019re not taking your calls.” It\u2019s right here in my formerly nicotine-stained fingers. “Administration officials, speaking on condition they not be named, told reporters they expect to see an increase in the number of calls they get from Arizona police — but that won\u2019t change President Obama\u2019s decision to limit whom the government actually tries to detain and deport.”<\/p>\n
