RUSH: I actually am… Uh, I\u2019m okay.<\/p>\n
CALLER: Okay. (laughing) I was told this morning by my son that I sound like an angry old woman because I use the word “rich.”<\/p>\n
RUSH: How old is your son?<\/p>\n
CALLER: He\u2019s in his forties, and he has multiple patents. I mean, he\u2019s supposedly very intelligent. I wouldn\u2019t tell him he wasn\u2019t. But he told me the word “rich” is a negative and I should use the word “successful” instead. Because he feels that just by getting the patents he\u2019s reached a level of success. But I said, “Wait a minute.”<\/p>\n
RUSH: Well, who were you talking about when you use the term “rich”? What were you discussing?<\/p>\n
CALLER: We were discussing how Obama is saying to the people, “You\u2019ll never be rich under me. Your children will never be rich. You deserve poverty.” Under Obama\u2019s message, he\u2019s just feeding us recycled communism. He\u2019ll be rich. His friends will be rich. You won\u2019t be rich. My son didn\u2019t like it.<\/p>\n

RUSH: No, wait.<\/p>\n
CALLER: (crosstalk)<\/p>\n
RUSH: Hold it.<\/p>\n
CALLER: He goes, “You can\u2019t say ‘rich\u2019! ‘Rich\u2019 is a negative.”<\/p>\n
RUSH: Hold it a minute. Hold it a minute. You are talking to your 40-year-old —<\/p>\n
CALLER: Right!<\/p>\n
RUSH: — multi-patented son.<\/p>\n
CALLER: He\u2019s supposed to be smart!<\/p>\n
RUSH: And —<\/p>\n
CALLER: And he told me — this one blew me away — “You shouldn\u2019t listen to Rush. He\u2019s not effective.” What! What! I was angry, let me tell you. I have spent my finger on this phone all morning because I\u2019m so mad at him. I can\u2019t talk to him right now. I just can\u2019t.<\/p>\n
RUSH: When did Obama say, “You will not be rich under me”?<\/p>\n
CALLER: That\u2019s his message.<\/p>\n
RUSH: Oh.<\/p>\n
CALLER: We hear the message. It doesn\u2019t have to be said.<\/p>\n
RUSH: You are telling your son, “This is what Obama\u2019s message is, and your son says,” and —<\/p>\n
CALLER: That\u2019s what the message is, exactly. Everything he\u2019s doing. I mean, he\u2019s offering us death! Death of freedom, death of excellence, death of the American way. He says, “Hope”? I say, “Death of hope.” You know what I\u2019m saying? He says, “Forward”? To where? To what? Nobody is asking these questions.<\/p>\n

CALLER: He offers weakness and compromise and and hate for America.<\/p>\n
RUSH: (sigh)<\/p>\n
CALLER: I am just disgusted. I\u2019m truly disgusted that this could happen in my family.<\/p>\n
RUSH: Yeah.<\/p>\n
CALLER: I\u2019m a Tea Party caller.<\/p>\n
RUSH: I know.<\/p>\n
CALLER: And my son —<\/p>\n
RUSH: Your son is with wussing out.<\/p>\n
CALLER: He\u2019s wussing out big time and I\u2019m really mad, Rush. I\u2019m so mad.<\/p>\n
RUSH: Because he doesn\u2019t want you to say “rich.” He thinks the term “rich” —<\/p>\n
CALLER: Rich is a negative.<\/p>\n
RUSH: — is a negative term and you shouldn\u2019t use it.<\/p>\n
CALLER: I said, “Wait a minute! Wait a minute. Why did you bother to get the patents? Where\u2019s the next step?”<\/p>\n
RUSH: Well, in one sense he\u2019s right.<\/p>\n
CALLER: “What are you gonna do with patents if you\u2019re not going to complete the process?”<\/p>\n
RUSH: In one sense, he may have a point, but it\u2019s not the way you\u2019re thinking. The word “rich” has been demonized. People who are thought to be rich are now targets. Obama has seen to that. Your son might not want to be a target, but I don\u2019t think that\u2019s what he means.<\/p>\n
CALLER: Oh, he did! He made it clear!<\/p>\n
RUSH: He…?<\/p>\n
CALLER: He was angry with me. He was telling me, “You know, if you use that word, you\u2019re gonna sound like an angry old woman.” Hoooow? Excuse me, how?<\/p>\n
RUSH: I don\u2019t understand that. How can you be an angry old woman? You\u2019re not rich. You\u2019re just using the word to describe the way Obama thinks of people.<\/p>\n
CALLER: Right! Right! But this is his message. I see the message. I see it clearly. Everything he does is pushing us.<\/p>\n
RUSH: I tell you, when\u2019s the next time you\u2019re gonna talk to your son?<\/p>\n
CALLER: I don\u2019t know. I guess the next time I calm down or he calms down because it turned into a shouting match, and when he said you weren\u2019t being effective, that did it! I\u2019m like, “Just stop,” you know?<\/p>\n
RUSH: Wait a minute. Wait a minute. Wait, wait. Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. I\u2019m not being effective \u2019cause I used the word “rich”?<\/p>\n
CALLER: Pardon? I didn\u2019t hear that. I was venting again and I\u2019m just really mad about this, because —<\/p>\n

RUSH: Never mind. Never mind. I\u2019ve lost all hope. I have no idea what\u2019s going on. Ask him if the word “rich” is racist the next time you talk to him.<\/p>\n
CALLER: Oh, I will.<\/p>\n
RUSH: And ask him what he thinks of the term “kitchen cabinet.”<\/p>\n
CALLER: And who\u2019s got his ear? I mean, I don\u2019t get it. You move away and this is what you have? You have a son who\u2019s falling prey to … what? Who\u2019s doing this? We\u2019re very frustrated here, and I could just cry. Seriously. Oof! I can\u2019t even tell you how mad this makes me because his next step has to be to want to be rich. If it\u2019s not, what\u2019s the point? Why did you get a patent? Why did you bother?<\/p>\n
RUSH: Ask him —<\/p>\n
CALLER: What\u2019s going with it? I don\u2019t know.<\/p>\n
RUSH: Ask him why he\u2019s so frightened of what people will think of him. And then ask him, “Is this really how you want to live your life? You want to be afraid of what people think of you? And who\u2019s putting these thoughts of you in people\u2019s mind, if not this idiot Obama?” Oh, well. I understand your frustration. I really do. If I were you I\u2019d disown him.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Okay, I\u2019m confused, Rush, because the past three years I\u2019ve made the most money I\u2019ve ever made in my life. I\u2019m 54 years old. I live in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and I\u2019m driving the truck that delivers liquid oxygen, liquid nitrogen, and argon to Colorado, Arizona, Texas, and New Mexico. And I\u2019m confused. How can I be making the most money I\u2019ve ever made in my life, 70 grand a year driving a truck, and there\u2019s not even enough people to drive these trucks \u2019cause they won\u2019t get their hazmat? What do I do? I\u2019m confused.<\/p>\n
