Thank you very much.<\/p>\n<p><img id=\"eZObject_64789\" class=\"aligncenter\" align=\"middle\" src=\"https:\/\/live-rush-limbaugh.pantheonsite.io\/wp-content\/uploads\/RushDittoheadNationMapRushCigar.jpg\"\/><\/p>\n<p>CALLER:  You know, <a view=\"line\" href=\"https:\/\/live-rush-limbaugh.pantheonsite.io\/?p=14992\">Milton Friedman<\/a> wrote a book back in the seventies, I think, called Free to Choose.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH:  Yes, ma\u2019am.<\/p>\n<p>CALLER:  And then they made it into &#8212; or maybe it came first, made it into a ten-part series that they put on PBS.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH:  Exactly right.  You are exactly right.<\/p>\n<p>CALLER:  And I\u2019ll tell you, back then, nothing was being done in the conservative realm, and until you came along he was the only one that I knew that talked to me about things that I knew that I knew, that everyone else was not knowing.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH:  He did.  William F. Buckley was one of his close friends.  They skied together annually. National Review was a great publication oriented toward free market economics and conservatism in general.  <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/product\/B001DHTHZ8?ie=UTF8&#038;tag=theoffiwebs0d-20&#038;linkCode=as2&#038;camp=1789&#038;creative=9325&#038;creativeASIN=B001DHTHZ8\">Free to Choose, you\u2019re right, aired in 1980<\/a> on PBS.  But Milton Friedman, as I say, is a class all by himself.  He was that smart.<\/p>\n<p><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/product\/B001DHTHZ8?ie=UTF8&#038;tag=theoffiwebs0d-20&#038;linkCode=as2&#038;camp=1789&#038;creative=9325&#038;creativeASIN=B001DHTHZ8\"><img id=\"eZObject_65320\" class=\"alignright\" align=\"right\" src=\"https:\/\/live-rush-limbaugh.pantheonsite.io\/wp-content\/uploads\/free-to-choose.jpg\"\/><\/a>CALLER:  Yeah.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH:  And you know what was great about Milton Friedman was, I mean he was a high intellect, but he was able to speak in ways everybody understood.<\/p>\n<p>CALLER:  I tried to tell my daughter why I liked you so much.  She couldn\u2019t understand my infatuation.  And I tried to tell her how it was before you came along, and that everything in the media, in the movies, in the books, in anything on television, it was all liberal.  And I knew that there was something else, but no one would talk to me about it.  And I couldn\u2019t talk to anyone else, until you came along.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH:  How old was your daughter when you were talking to her about me?<\/p>\n<p>CALLER:  Well, you came along, what, \u201988?<\/p>\n<p>RUSH:  That\u2019s right.<\/p>\n<p>CALLER:  And so I was talking to her in that area, especially when she got into college after 2000.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH:  Okay.  All right. Did you have any luck in persuading her, or does she still think &#8212;<\/p>\n<p>CALLER:  Yes.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH:  Oh, good.  Oh, cool.<\/p>\n<p>CALLER:  Yes.  She went to Purdue, and they had a liberal reading course there, and she came home with these things by Michael Moore, and I just hit the ceiling.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH:  Yeah, I can imagine.  Gosh, you know what?  If I\u2019d had kids and that happened to me, I don\u2019t know what I woulda done, because I know at that age parents don\u2019t know anything. The parents, as far as the kids are concerned, are the biggest blockheads on earth.  And if I\u2019d had a kid come home waving a Michael Moore DVD in front of me&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>CALLER:  Well, she agreed with me.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH:  Oh, well.<\/p>\n<p>CALLER:  She is a good kid.  She has a doctorate now.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH:  In what?<\/p>\n<p>CALLER:  She\u2019s a smart kid, and we went to the voting booth together, and she did her little thing in the, you know, they had kiddie voting, and I voted in the regular.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH:  Hm-hm.<\/p>\n<p>CALLER:  And we talked about it, and she\u2019s good kid.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH:  Well, good.  Then you did good stuff.<\/p>\n<p>CALLER:  I hope so.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH:  Well, there\u2019s no question you did.  Well, look, Joan, you\u2019re very nice.  I\u2019m glad you called.  I really appreciate hearing from you.<\/p>\n<p>CALLER:  Thank you.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH:  You bet.
