It\u2019s called &#8220;Understands.&#8221; In the ad, they have an unemployed steelworker explaining how he lost his job and lost his wife because of Mitt Romney.<\/p>\n<p>JOE SOPTIC: (dramatic music) When Mitt Romney and Bain closed the plant I lost my health care (dramatic chime), and my family lost their health care (dramatic chime), and, uh, uh, a short time after that my wife became ill. (dramatic chime) I don\u2019t know how long she was sick. Uhhh, and I think maybe she didn\u2019t say anything because she knew that we &#8212; we couldn\u2019t afford the insurance. And &#8212; and then one day she &#8212; she, uh, became ill (dramatic chime) and I took her up to the Jackson County hospital and &#8212; and &#8212; and admitted her for pneumonia. And that\u2019s when they found the cancer. And by then we were stage 4. There was &#8212; there was nothing they could do for her. (dramatic chime) And she passed away in 22 days. (dramatic chime) I do not think Mitt Romney realizes what he\u2019s done to anyone. (dramatic chime) And I&#8230; Furthermore, I do not think Mitt Romney is concerned.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"585\" height=\"315\" src=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/Nj70XqOxptU\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>RUSH: So I guess this stuff works, folks. They starve the kids. They poison the air. The Republicans poison the water. The Republicans are spreading E. coli. Republicans wanted to cut food from kids\u2019 mouths, literally take food out of their mouths in 1995 with the school lunch program. The Republicans are <a href=\"https:\/\/live-rush-limbaugh.pantheonsite.io\/?p=14919\">now Robin Hood in reverse.<\/a> Romney\u2019s gonna go out there and he\u2019s gonna take even more from the poor. (I didn\u2019t know they had anything left!)<\/p>\n<p>He\u2019s gonna take even more from the poor, give it to himself, and now &#8212; and now &#8212; Romney is killing people! Romney is forcing people to get cancer, and then when they get cancer, he\u2019s not allowing them to be treated. So we have a campaign message here, basically: &#8220;Republicans commit murder, poison the water, poison the air, and starve kids!&#8221; The Democrats keep doing this stuff. They\u2019ve been doing it for as long as I\u2019m alive because it must work. How do you&#8230;? (chuckling) He\u2019s a murderer! Romney is not just a felon now, he\u2019s a murderer.<\/p>\n<p>BREAK TRANSCRIPT<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: By the way, the steel company in the ad&#8230; The guy\u2019s name, by the way, is Joe Soptic. I\u2019m not sure how to pronounce it. It\u2019s S-o-p-t-i-c. The guy who said (summarized), &#8220;When Mitt Romney and Bain closed the plant, I lost my health care; my family lost their health care. A short time after that, my wife became ill and died.&#8221; Romney killed my wife. Whatever. That\u2019s the steel company that was closed down years after Romney left Bain.<\/p>\n<p>Romney had nothing to do with closing the steel plant or ending the health care or anything of the sort, but it doesn\u2019t matter. It doesn\u2019t matter. Republicans will starve kids, poison the water, poison the food, spread E. coli. Can malaria be next? Meanwhile, it\u2019s the Democrats who are aborting themselves out of existence. It\u2019s Republicans that want to kill babies? I\u2019m gonna tell you: It is an utter and total waste of time to even engage this.<\/p>\n<p><img id=\"eZObject_65642\" class=\"alignright\" align=\"right\" src=\"https:\/\/live-rush-limbaugh.pantheonsite.io\/wp-content\/uploads\/ROmneyObamaPoliciesMontage3.jpg\"\/><\/p>\n<p>During the break I was imagining, &#8220;Okay, what happens if Snerdley gives me a Democrat caller who actually wants to make the case that Republicans are poisoning the food?&#8221; I\u2019d hang up. I\u2019m not gonna sit here and even for five seconds talk about it. To have to engage in something like that and to have to get into a discussion with some blockhead, and ask, &#8220;Do you really think that there\u2019s a political party out there poisoning people?&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>If the guy says, &#8220;Yes,&#8221; where do you go from there? You hang up. &#8220;You\u2019re an idiot. Don\u2019t waste my time.&#8221; But now extrapolate that or make it larger. What are Republicans supposed to do? If Republicans run out there and say, &#8220;We don\u2019t poison the water,&#8221; well, they\u2019re&#8230; (laughing) &#8220;No, no, Democrats are wrong. We haven\u2019t poisoned the water. Hey, kids, we\u2019re not trying to take food away.&#8221; It\u2019s absurd. It\u2019s literally absurd.<\/p>\n<p>Yet I\u2019m told that the Democrats keep doing this because it keeps working, because there are people that vote for the Democrats because they believe all this stuff, that Republicans want to poison the air. I guess this is the &#8220;new civility&#8221; that we hear so much about from the Democrats. Have the Democrats blamed the Republicans for inventing AIDS yet? In fact, I think that already happened. Not necessarily the Republicans, but somebody blamed the CIA for it, or the Department of Defense when the Republicans ran the show.<\/p>\n<p>So now, now Romney wants steelworkers\u2019 wives to get cancer and die. You\u2019ve got Democrats out there hearing this, and their tongues hit the floor. &#8220;Oh, yeah, yeah! Man, really great ad! Really, really great ad.&#8221; And the guys call here and they want to talk about it? You have to engage people in conversation about this? Try to imagine being in a group of people and some lunatic accuses you, as a Republican, of wanting to starve kids.<\/p>\n<p>You actually get into a discussion about that and try to convince him he\u2019s wrong. You have no prayer. You don\u2019t have a chance. Now, how upside down is that? How upside down is that? You don\u2019t have a prayer. If somebody\u2019s gonna believe that, you don\u2019t have a prayer of changing their mind. If some glittering jewel of colossal ignorance believes this stuff and you end up in a conversation with him, there\u2019s no way you\u2019re gonna change his mind.<\/p>\n<p>You\u2019re dealing with something barely human in the first place in terms of intelligence. So you take this further and you say, &#8220;Okay, as a political party, how should the Republicans react?&#8221; Look, it\u2019s real. There\u2019s an ad out there saying Mitt Romney killed this guy\u2019s wife! What\u2019s Romney supposed to say? &#8220;No, no, Mr. Soptic. I didn\u2019t mean to kill your wife. What do you say? No, Mr. Soptic, I left Bain Capital before my company killed your wife. No, Mr. Soptic, my company didn\u2019t kill your wife. Uh, cancer is cancer, and it\u2019s a sad thing, but it happens to a lot of people.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Oh, way to go! Way to be insensitive, Mr. Romney! So it\u2019s okay that his wife got cancer?&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>What do you do with this kind of lunacy?<\/p>\n<p><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/live-rush-limbaugh.pantheonsite.io\/?page_id=37804\"><img id=\"eZObject_65643\" class=\"alignright\" align=\"right\" src=\"https:\/\/live-rush-limbaugh.pantheonsite.io\/wp-content\/uploads\/000MostDangerousMan.jpg\"\/><\/a>What do you do with it?<\/p>\n<p>These people are trying to wipe out Christianity, they\u2019re trying to eliminate the Constitution, and we gotta sit here and defend the notion that we want to kill people and poison the water and the air? (laughing) Okay. So I guess it\u2019s the Chicago way. &#8220;They bring a knife, you bring a gun.&#8221; <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/live-rush-limbaugh.pantheonsite.io\/?p=14918\">They accuse you of spreading E. coli,<\/a> you accuse them of spreading Ebola. They accuse you of poisoning the water, you accuse them of poisoning the scotch!<\/p>\n<p>They accuse you of poisoning the food, you accuse them of trying to spread nuclear waste all over the country and kill everybody! They accuse us of trying to starve kids and we say, &#8220;Well, you\u2019re trying to starve the country.&#8221; And then there\u2019s this tennis match back and forth, and the American voter is going, &#8220;Starve kids or starve the whole country. Okay, which is worse? Which do I want to vote for, starving kids or starving the whole country?
