CALLER: I know you don\u2019t have a lot of time, so here\u2019s a quick tidbit about me. I used to be liberal. I still live with my liberal parents. Well, “family,” I should say. I go to school. I work. I\u2019m 24 years old. A friend of mine referred me to your program. It will be four years in October. She recommended you because, she said, “If you want to know what\u2019s really going on in the political world, you should listen to this guy.” I have and wow, Rush. You are right, especially about the liberals.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Thank you very much.<\/p>\n

CALLER: And I\u2019m a big sports fan, sir.<\/p>\n

RUSH: I appreciate your nice words.<\/p>\n

CALLER: No problem, sir. I mean them for all they\u2019re worth. I mean them. I mean it. And I love your tea. I love your Raspberry Tea<\/a>. <\/p>\n

RUSH: Oooh!<\/p>\n

CALLER: It\u2019s really good.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Added bonus! You\u2019re a really good guy now.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yeah, and it\u2019s funny, Rush. I know I\u2019m kind of diverting from the sports, but when I buy your tea — I don\u2019t buy it much because I don\u2019t make a lot of money — my parents hate the fact that it\u2019s under your name. They hate it. They even hate the fact that I became a Rush 24\/7 member <\/a>this May. They hate the fact that I receive the Limbaugh Letter<\/a>.<\/p>\n

RUSH: What is wrong with your parents? Why “hate”? <\/p>\n

<\/a><\/p>\n

CALLER: They\u2019re liberals, sir. I used to be that way. Thankfully I was converted to the good side (chuckles) five years ago. They just don\u2019t like you. They listen to all the left-wing media people. They voted for Obama and they believe everything he says to be the truth.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, they\u2019re your parents, so I won\u2019t say anything. <\/p>\n

CALLER: It\u2019s okay, Rush. I have friends who help me out with that and I\u2019ve exorcised that. So, anyway, on to the sports. On to the sports. I\u2019m a big football fan. I\u2019m a \u201949ers fan, a Buffalo Bills fan, and — since I live in North Carolina — I\u2019m a Carolina Panthers fan. I hate the fact that now, especially with the bounty — you mentioned this not too long ago — everyone\u2019s going to go, “Oh, this hit! Was it a fine? Is it a bounty?” I don\u2019t know if you know this, but liberals have even invaded NASCAR. NASCAR mandates everything, pretty much, for the cars. They mandate the templates of how the body is shaped. They only allow the teams to adjust certain things, even, because they want everything to be fair for the smaller teams.<\/p>\n

RUSH: And safe. Yeah, it\u2019s about control. The whole prospect of listening to a football game this year has already got me ticked off. I already know, folks, what I\u2019m going to hear. I already know. First hard hit, I know what I\u2019m going to hear. I just don\u2019t want to deal with it. Look, Steven, I appreciate the call — and congratulations.
