Great to have you on the program.  Hi.<\/p>\n<p>CALLER:  Hi, Rush.  Listen, you just said four more years of Obama we can handle.  What, are you crazy?  There will be no USA left.  And you just go by one poll?  I believe that poll is the Bradley Effect to some extent.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH:  Wilder.  Wilder Effect, Bradley Effect, yeah.  Now, let me explain to you what I meant.  In my own, I think inimitable way, I frankly don\u2019t know how you can disagree with me on this.<\/p>\n<p>CALLER:  Well &#8212;<\/p>\n<p>RUSH:  The American people, as you and I have known them to be anyway, are resilient, and we can overcome whatever obstacles are put in our way.  What we can\u2019t overcome is a country made up of losers, morons, and takers that would elect a guy like Obama.  My point is that the problem really isn\u2019t Obama; it\u2019s the people that vote for him.  That\u2019s what we have to change.  Those are the people we have to get to somehow.  If this nation\u2019s gonna rebuild itself, it\u2019s gonna take more than 40% of the people working.<\/p>\n<p>CALLER:  Well, that\u2019s true.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH:  All right.  That\u2019s all I was saying.  I was not trying to say Obama\u2019s a harmless nothing.  I\u2019m saying the American &#8212; look, this is the nation that beat back the Nazis.<\/p>\n<p>CALLER:  That\u2019s right.<\/p>\n<p><img id=\"eZObject_66094\" class=\"aligncenter\" align=\"middle\" src=\"https:\/\/live-rush-limbaugh.pantheonsite.io\/wp-content\/uploads\/RushDittoheadNationMap082312.jpg\"\/><\/p>\n<p>RUSH:  This is the Nation that put a man on the moon.  We can do anything.  We can survive anything.  But not if over half of us would elect a guy like this.<\/p>\n<p>CALLER:  Well, listen, and also, that thing you said the other day about <a view=\"line\" href=\"https:\/\/live-rush-limbaugh.pantheonsite.io\/?p=14793\">Todd Akin. <\/a> You shoulda really mentioned for him to leave, because he\u2019s ruining the <a view=\"line\" href=\"https:\/\/live-rush-limbaugh.pantheonsite.io\/?p=14856\">Romney-Ryan<\/a> momentum we have and into our RNC convention in Tampa.  I mean, <a view=\"line\" href=\"https:\/\/live-rush-limbaugh.pantheonsite.io\/?p=14806\">yesterday you said<\/a>, &#8220;If I told Todd Akin to leave the race, he would leave.&#8221;  I mean, why &#8212;<\/p>\n<p>RUSH:  &#8216;Cause I think this is a responsible adult use of my power.<\/p>\n<p>CALLER:  &#8212; very badly, I think.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH:  Well, I\u2019m not sure that all of this is having a deleterious effect on <a view=\"line\" href=\"https:\/\/live-rush-limbaugh.pantheonsite.io\/?p=14789\">Romney.<\/a>  It is on Akin, obviously, according to a Rasmussen poll out of Missouri.  I\u2019m not sure yet that this is a heavy drag on Romney.  But it might be, it might become that.  It certainly isn\u2019t necessary.  I don\u2019t know.  We shoot ourselves in the foot, I can\u2019t tell you how many times.  It was simply a mature use of my power here in trying to influence Mr. Akin. I mean, frankly, I have to tell you something, Rachel.  There\u2019s some people on our side saying things that embarrass me. The guy\u2019s not a pig. <a view=\"line\" href=\"https:\/\/live-rush-limbaugh.pantheonsite.io\/?p=14826\">He may be stupid<\/a>. He may be uninformed, but he\u2019s not a bad guy.
